That's fine, though, because they still need to be able to actually catch up if they want to do that, which still makes them effectively Leatherface. A Survivor didn't need to escape the Killer to be able to use the Agent/Syringe.

It was a completely broken mechanic and had no place in the game.

@TAG So if a survivor didn't need "skill" to use a Syringe, why not just add new conditions? Why remove the effect? I mean... if you wanna talk about skill we can talk about skill. Just, let's not pretend that an extreme effect, that is literally in those add ons (iri head, pinky finger) is not "too much" when you can literally lust a survivor and down them.

@TAG and they removed the effect of being "insta". Which is why I brought up other "insta" add ons. Because for the reasons I stated, they also don't require skill.

Killer ignore pallets when they can because of the time it takes to break them. Sometimes you have to break them others you can play around. Knowing which is which is part of a good killers AND survivors skill sets.
As far as hitting survivors up close, at least on console, it isnt always a sure thing. Especially clowns bottles.

No, because I'm telling you that the methods you are suggesting turns those Killers into Leatherface. Do you think Leatherface needs little to no skill to do well? If so, why is he considered one of the weakest Killers? If not, what separates the tactics you suggested from Leatherface?

Like I said. It's only when an ability not designed to be an instant down becomes one that it's a problem.
That's why perks are always conditional and have a counter of some kind.
The only Killer perk that causes Exposed that isn't in response to something Survivors do is Devour Hope, which has a considerable set up time and risks being destroyed before it can do anything.
MYC triggers on Survivors unhooking.
Haunted Grounds triggers on Survivors breaking a totem.
NOED and Rancor both trigger on gen completion
Iron maiden only triggers on a Survivor leaving a Locker.

My only complaint is that the syringe does 1 health state and not 2... there’s 8 seconds for the killer to react and they’re ultra rare... on paper the styptic agent is better.
BVHR tonnes down mechanics in a way that doesn’t reward good play...
Why not:
The nurse doesn’t have a cooldown on a successful hit (same idea sent other to other killers - the concept is carried over)
Successful use of exhaustion perks means you don’t have to stand still for them to recharge (giving vigil some value again but it’ll be high skill) - i.e. if you dead hard and the killer did swing then you recover in 80 seconds running or 40 seconds standing still (not sure how to balance the other exhaustion perks in that way - used mid-chase? Idk)
Everything feels balanced around rank 10 with rank 1 left in the dark... people who have played longer want newer mechanics to master/take advantage of but they get hard taken away.

I am comparing Leatherface to a Huntress player who only throws an Iri Hatchet when they are right up to them, just like you were discussing earlier. Please don't twist my words.

Now I can agree with that but we should have more than two options in a horror survival game, that's just making it more boring we need new ######### in this game that offers high reward for high risk

See, like I would have no problem with Pinky Finger and Iri Head if there was a meter distance condition. At least then I could see how you would have to still be skilled but with a more extreme effect.

Your third option is to distract the Killer while healing someone on the ground. Bodyblocking is also an option. Ballsy players can also opt for sabotaging a hook that a Killer is trying to reach.

@TAG I'm not twisting your words dear you're the one who brought up Leatherface in the first place.
You are making a comparison of one add-on, to a whole killer's power, which is why I don't think it's a good comparison. Most Leatherfaces I face end up M1'ing me when they are that up close because of him having to rev his chainsaw anyway.

So no. I don't think they suddenly become Leatherface because of an extreme effect that shouldn't be in an add on that is that easy and straightforward to use in the first place.

Not sure how I feel about seeing all these "turn the tables" mechanics tweaked, but I won't panic and will adopt a wait and see approach.

Oh , but you can "just break the totems" and it's making it "balanced" right? haha. Especially if you are all 4 randoms and can't know how many totems are left.
And I won't even say anything about the other overly strong killer perks/addons that are not taking any skill to use.
Seriously , don't talk about nerfing something and using "too strong and no skill to use" as a reason when the other side(killer) has things like that too and probably way stronger and you leave it be cuz who gives a damn.
I am personally fine with the change since I rarely ever used instant heal addons but replies like this from a mod just make me "wow". Literally talking about "powerful no skill to use" when mori, noed etc are still the same for who knows how long. Nice.

HUH it is almost as if these insta down mechanics are balanced with drawbacks/pre requirements for these insta downs. like bubba, a charge up where he is slowed, a sound Q to let the survivor know. and if he runs into a solid objective he is stunned and slowed FOR A VERY LONG TIME. entitled survivor main DETECTED

See that's the problem. You're thinking as if there was only one survivor when there is actually 4. If very experienced survivors were to run insta heals they can make loops longer than they should be which gives survivors more time to pump through gens. If it was one survivor then that's fine imo , but this game has 4 survivors per trial which means the possibility of having 4 insta heals in one game. Rare but completely unfair.

The instaheal styptic and anti hemorrhage are one in a blue moon, if you even get to them on the bloodweb theres not always a guarantee that youll get to use the medkit or the addon. Killers are at every advantage with their base attacks they dont even need perks a lot of the time, plague is op, hillbilly, cannibal, michael, ghostface, huntress, devour hope with hag, etc.........this was bullshit and just shows how this game favors killers and whats even more revealing and validating to that statement is how all of yall vote up all the snide comments invalidating survivors and people who agree the instaheal nerf is unecessary....devs dont care or listen to survivors....

Ok I see what your saying. But at the same time there are many other items or offerings that killers use that take no skill or even that they fail to do there job they get rewarded with a insta down. Then they have ebony mori they just tunnel and then kill the survivors from one hook. Either they die on first hook or moried. But hey u ruined a great killer why not even with ruining a survivor addon. Doing a great job so far.
