gen rush mindset

It's unfortunate. Killers have NO control over gatekeeper at all.

0.0 infinite tier 3 Myers using insidious from behind the L wall. By a gen believe it or not it works lol

i wonder who is the real trash, talking like one, not spending time to actually read my post and the ones who spent some time to give some decent arguments, but instead just typed the first thing that came to their mind..

You can absolutely rush primary objectives lol. This idea that survivors have "it's my objective" does not mean it cannot be rushed. Your objective in Mario 64 was to collect stars and defeat Bowser. Some people take days/weeks/months to do this others do it in minutes. They rush through the objective, it's colloquially known as "speed running".
Gen rushing is absolutely real.

The point I’m making is that it’s silly to assume the survivors aren’t going to do the gens as fast as possible. Of course they are! In what case relevant to this game would you not do the gens as fast as possible to escape the trial?

In what case relevant to this game would the survivors not do the gens as fast as possible to escape the trial? Gen rush is a stupid, irrelevant term used to make it seem like survivors are being ######### for trying to escape.

So what some of you are saying is if survivors go slower on gens you will go slower on killing survivors?

Lol, no. You guys are hung up thinking it's the survivor's fault. No, it's the fact that the gens can be done so quickly that is the problem. Objectives are not balanced. survivors have an objective spread out amongst 4 people. The Killer is alone. Yet the killer is required to hook people 3 times (at least they are intended to) a hooked survivor takes longer to die than it takes a gen to get done.

Annnnd we’re full circle to my first comment about people not understanding asymmetrical multiplayer games. Your comment solidifies the point I was making.

Yes, I understand fine. It's you who don't. The one's objective should be easier than the many's objective.the one has only themselves, the many has their objectives being worked on by multiple people. That is how you balance the power role vs the team role. It's not hard to understand. After this I'm done. Because you will either understand how the roles work or you won't.
TLDR; the Team should not have the easier objevtive as it skews the balance heavily in their favor.

Ok you talk about "bad map pressure" but not every killer is Spirit, Nurse or Billy you know that?

Neither side should have an easier objective. The objectives should feel equal (balanced), given the power discrepancy between the one and the many. Again, you’re just illustrating a lack of understanding.

That is my point, if the objectives are equal then the game is not. As it's one person vs four. If the one's objective is equal to theirs it's unbalanced.

You didn’t read the post. They should FEEL EQUAL (not BE EQUAL) given the power discrepancy. The game is asymmetrical; the objectives can’t be equal by definition.

Yeah, I get it. It's just a race and an asymmetrical one that isn't easy to balance just by making gens take longer or adding secondary objectives (besides saves and totems). I've been in plenty of games were no gens got done, the killer was just good at keeping pressure and snowballing, but you never hear killers complain about that.

Well they certainly don't feel equal for anyone whose played killer. You have 0 time to chase or hunt.

I, for one, Like a good back and forth match and not a stomp either way. I'd like to see DBD get there.

I just want to say again here, that I think the main issue is most Killers have a difficult time "Applying Pressure" to handle people that only focus gens. The lower Tier Killers need help and the maps need work. Can you make a lower Tier Killer work with alot of practice? Maybe. Is that a good enough reason to not buff them? No.

And I also can tell when a killer is struggling and will slow down my gen progression significantly...but...
I will keep saying, in this game for every person with a sense of fair play there are a dozen that could care less and only want the kills/escape no matter the cost.
Then toss in the meme games or bad killers like the one who puts the first person they catch down in the basement and proceed to camp with insidious - which both killers and survivors cry out - just do gens ( you mean gen rush?), you get this conditioning to ...do gens. You only really feel somewhat safe as a survivor when the gens are done (I won't even get into NOED or EGC).
