Object of Obsession Rework ideas

I was privy to seeing a string of constant swf/teams using OoO, and I was talking with some people about it. There were some idea's that I thought were quite interesting, and I wanted to see what you guys think.

What if Object was tweaked a bit:

  1. When being chased acts like kindred, teammates can see you, and/or even the killer while being chased.(Possibly undetectable able to effect this.) Still making you obsession.
  2. What if object allowed the killer to see all SWF party members at the same time, as well? - Keeping the not seen if in certain range perhaps as well ?
  3. What if instead of being seen ALL the time, have it proc every so often. (Perhaps allowing both killer and survivor to know when the next proc is coming ?)

I forgot some others...

But anyways, some issues I noticed was like trapper.. he's pretty much SOL when it comes to setting up and prepping his traps, and that's pretty much his entire power.... And if it is voice comm SWF.... yikes! Trapper has no undetectable ability and if he were to randomly just disappear when placing a trap... someone would clearly know if using OoO, "he just placed a trap!" lol. So disappearing while setting up wouldn't do much for him. Hag as well?

Maybe there's some other problems with OoO that makes it not so great for some killers? Anyways.

So what do you guys think about it ? And if you don't also mind sharing your perspective (which side your coming from, and/or both). Was just interested to bounce some ideas around.

This is the current version :

A supernatural bond links you to the Killer.

If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other.

This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius.

As the Killer's Obsession, this effect applies to a maximum range of 56/64/72 meters. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of 44/56/64 meters.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

I, frankly, Despise OoO. So anything that would make it less horrid I'm for.

A perk to let one guy see the Killer at all times. Who thought this was a good idea?

Yeah. This. I don't think this perk is very balanced at all, and it adds to killers being ENTIRELY frustrated in dealing with SWF, and I know certain killers especially get completely screwed over. I think it needs to be balanced to more killers in general. And also maybe help the killer in actually dealing with the communication aspect of SWF's etc.

I think it definitely at minimum needs to be tweaked to some regard.

If i see an OoO.... that' is honestly one of the 2 situations I'll leave.

I like Legion, Ghostface (who thank God has an easier time but still gets messed up), Freddy, Trapper...

You can prolly see where my hate comes from.

They should give it a fixed range of 32 meters instead of terror radius tbh.

OoO, the longer you see the killers aura the more you build up a personal "Exposed status effect".

This effect will cause the killer to see you 100% of the time and will disappear after being downed.

If anything it should activate for the Killer when the obsession leaves his terror radius. As oppose to the survivors, it should activate when they enter the killer terror radius.
