The "Adept" achievements are Flawed.

The 'Adept' Achievements have a condition where you need to win the match, as Killer or Survivor, using only the character's three unique perks. This doesn't apply to add-ons, items, or offerings.
See... this is extremely flawed, and I'll explain why.
Some characters have perks that could screw them over massively. In particular I'll explain how the Halloween DLC characters function with their perks - Laurie and The Shape.

Laurie's perks force you into confrontation with the Killer, no matter what you do. Decisive Strike "rewards" you for getting picked up (which is why it's a broken perk), Object of Obsession reveals you and the Killer to each other, and Sole Survivor exists to get rid of the 'each other' part of the last perk.
Now we need to use only these three perks, and all three - no others - and successfully escape the trial to get the achievement.
This is only Laurie, and only a Survivor's point of view. Laurie is the worst of the bunch, some of the other Survivors have a worthwhile trinity, but Laurie? Damn, man.

Onto the Killers - The Shape, or as we call him, Myers.
His perks all contradict each other completely - two hinge on the Obsession being alive, one requires the Obsession is dead ASAP, one of the last two is literally useless whether it's active or not.
The rules are a little bit different as a Killer than they are as a Survivor - good old Myers here needs to get a merciless victory to get the achievement.
So I'll recap here; The Shape is forced to use three perks that contradict - even counteract - each other, only those three perks with no more or less, And he has to get four kills in the one trial. He needs to kill every Survivor for a Merciless Victory.
I know it's a bit easier to do as Myers especially if you take the tombstone and the tuft, but unless the Survivors are terrible at the game, you won't get halfway through Tier 2 and the game will be over in literally four minutes (this happened to me before when I tried doing this same thing).

Let's see some examples that are okay I guess, rather than completely worthless;
Survivors first;
Dwight - Buff allies by 9%, buff self by 3% per ally nearby, and see them within just over a Terror Radius' Range. Not bad, supportive playstyle.
Meg - Pretty damn good. Sprint Burst, Quick and Quiet, and Adrenaline. She's definitely got the highest chance of surviving a trial, which is why she is the first Survivor and only character whose Adept achievement I have gotten, and Dwight is my main Survivor. I've Prestiged Dwight and I'm at level 30 with him again and I still haven't gotten his Adept.
David - Kind of risky. No Mither means you'll get oneshot if you don't time your Dead Hard, and it nullifies We're Gonna Live Forever entirely.

Now Killers;
Trapper - With Agitation, Brutal Strength, and Unrelenting, he isn't bad I guess. Not good, but not bad. He'll be better with his power buff, which might make it more possible to get the achievement.
Nurse - Same situation as Meg, except she's amazing even without perks. Stridor so you can hear them, Thanatophobia to slow the game down a little bit, if you're actually capable of hitting people as Nurse to begin with, and Nurse's Calling so they've got little chance to recover.
Hillbilly - Kind of above-average. Resistant to flashlights and pallets, and able to charge his power faster if he takes the add-ons that work with it.
I'm gonna break the pattern by putting in a fourth example for Killers;
Hag - Hell no. Three Hex Perks, you might as well take literally nothing. Ruin only slows down the game a "just a little bit" but then it's destroyed already. Devour Hope and Third Seal will be gone while the Survivors smash them hoping that it's Ruin. Then all you have is a slow, short, rotted walking corpse slapping you the entire game and teleporting out of the ground.

This doesn't even begin to account for how experienced the other players are. A good Killer will destroy you, especially if you're going for the Laurie one, and half-decent Survivors would obliterate you if you play for the Myers achievement.
The Adept achievements are drastically flawed as your odds of getting the achievement is through luck and whether the Killer or the Survivors actually have functioning brains.

BHVR, back when there were only the three Killers and four Survivors, this was okay. It was somewhat possible, even with Wraith.
Now there's characters whose perks completely nullify each other or make the game insanely difficult when they're taken in, even to the point of near-impossibility.
There's SWF.
There's Freddy.
There's the Ranking System and matchmaking.
There's Survivors who use a meta of the same Holy Trinity plus one other perk.
There's BBQ & Chili on Nurse and Hillbilly.
There's so much new stuff that make these achievements insanely hard. No matter how 'adept' you are, I'd love to see you try escaping with all three of Laurie's unique perks, with your allies being half-decent so they don't all die before you - which is highly unlikely since the Killer can see you basically all the time due to OoO + SS.

The Adept Achievements should be changed, or removed entirely. They're not worth the trouble and the effort.
If not to be removed, then they should be changed for their requirement to be 'escape with this Survivor x amount of times' or 'get merciless victories with this killer x amount of times'.
It'd be way better than using combinations of perks that can literally handicap us now. These achievements weren't thought out when it came to the Halloween chapter and some of the other content.

    1. Laurie and David are the hardest to get achievements for, but I found that just stealthing while your teammates do the gens works great
    2. You don’t need a merciless, you just need everyone to die. You can slug everyone until they bleed out and you’ll get the achievements.
    3. If you have to, just loop the killer. I looped a doctor for all game and got out with an iridescent unbroken (my Claudette achievement)

    On any survivor its a cakewalk to get the adept achievments because you can easily play WITHOUT ANY perk too.

    When I did my laurie achievment I felt really bad for using DS, but gladly I managed to avoid the killer all game and sneaked out without being downed :wink:

    As killer though..... well from my own experience its the best to derank in mid/late season and do the adept stuff vs noobs
