Toggleable actions via double click?

Maybe, just maybe, I am the only one who has a problem with this, but would it be possible to get toggleable actions for DbD? I am talking about double clicking M1/M2 and being locked into repairing a generator/opening an exit gate/cleansing totems and either double clicking M1/M2 again to stop or simply using WASD to move and stop the action. In case people still gen tap you could make it an additonal option in the game's settings.
The majority of actions are pretty long, a generator takes up to 80 seconds, SC is like 20+, searching a chest and cleansing totems is also around 15 to 20 seconds. Really the only actions that aren't long are unhooking and kicking gens (though it's weird how hooking a survivor won't make you hold down space, but kicking a gen does make you hold it down) and I really don't want to get arthritis because I played DbD a bit too long. It's the same deal with struggling on the hook and wiggling, unnecessary inputs that you have to spam. Wiggling takes like 16 seconds and requires like 2 key presses a second while struggling also requires around 2ish, but for 60 seconds. I rebound struggling to my numpad because I don't want to ruin my keyboard, but I feel like this issue doesn't have an easy solution. The only one I could think of is a macro (!banned), but a macro that toggles M1/M2 isn't as convenient as having that function built into the game. I quite frankly also can't be assed to make one because having to press a side mouse button is more iffy than just using M1/WASD to get on/off a gen or totem. I also wanna say it's pretty dumb how macro software is banned, but if it's "built in" in your mouse or keyboard then it's okay.
I realize macroing is an issue when it comes to AFKing (botting) and abusing certain exploits, but AFking is reportable and exploits like the flashlight one shouldn't even be possible.

If I had 1 wish then it would be to implement a function that lets you double click and be locked into most actions that take a longer time to complete. I doubt it would be much work beyond adding a few lines of code.

Agreed, because i never finish the gen kick with out accidentally letting go and doing it three more times
