Introduce a function that does not match the blocked opponent

There are many players with poor manners such as teabagging and DC.

I don't want to match those people.

So you should introduce the block function.

Specifically, do not enter the same room as the blocked opponent.

Some people may use this feature to avoid matches with strong players.

But that's fine.

Because that person is a bad manners player who wants to avoid matching.

The only people who can be blocked are those banned by the devs.

If you are going to play this game you will have to embrace the culture. Teabagging is part of it. Survivors are just silly and trying to have fun.

Do not take this game seriously. Worry about things under your control. Like the choice of whether you want to play DBD for example.

What you're describing would just be heavily abused to block matches versus much better players.

I don't understand how people make suggestions like these and don't even consider the most obvious bad-faith use cases. It's like you think people would only use it in the way you intend/describe, which is just naive at best.

I love this community but with how spiteful and toxic it tends to be it will be abused within the week.

Hell the only reason the overwatch one isn't completely abused is simply stops them from being put on your team you can still face against them.

This feature would legitimately only be beneficial for survivors to block other survivors and even then it could be abused to where you can block somebody who run a build that you didn't like and so on

The solution to this is for them to not show survivor names to killers in the lobby.

People would block anybody for anything, nobody would get matches any more and game would die.

Disconnecting is bad behavior indeed, but that already has its own form of punishment and will be improved with dedicated servers.

But it's safe to say they don't consider you should have such a feature to avoid such players since you can actually be banned for unsportsmanlike behaviour, and teabagging's not in there.

Also, the bigger problem of course is that you can block whoever.

For example, a Survivor who prefers to just do Generators and only help when it's truly necessary might find themselves experience insanely long lobby times because nobody wants a Survivor as a fellow who only repairs.

While it might turn out to be extremely rare to get in such a situation, having those few people suffer long lobby times just because you want a feature to avoid teabaggers isn't a trade they'll implement, i assure you.

This would be a bad idea, players would abuse it and block someone that's better than them and beats them instead of looking at their own play styles and getting better at the game.

I like the ideal of blocking certain individuals on account of d/c and toxic behaviour.

Friday 13th had the salt mines, not sure how they worked.

The last time I asked someone how they would prevent a player from being blocked by many people for being too good, resulting in increasing queue times for that person, they did not have a good answer.
