Michael's tiers of Evil Within are truly part of his personality.

Michael is an unshakable, unstoppable man, a man like you and I, no supernatural powers, there's nothing wrong with him, no mental illness, you can hurt and kill him but that doesn't stop him, he's evil, that's what causes fear, just in a small set town, no matter what you do, you can't change Michael, there is nothing to stop evil, it's not flowing around in the air, it's internal and it's present. Michael Myers is the unknown and the unknown is what we all fear.

Evil Within 1:

He takes the course slow and is patient, he wants to play with them, to learn their routes, their actions, to understand them and take use of that.

Evil Within 2:

He gets eager and can't wait no more, his adrenaline starts to kick in and he can't help but clench his knife, he has that sensation to kill, being physical evil stored into a single being, one person.

Evil Within 3:

This is the point where he snaps, his personality of playing around with them mentally is gone, his inner strength is shown and he goes ballistic, in a very aggressive march, no matter how fast you run, he doesn't need to run, and even at times he won't need to hook you, he'll finish the job himself.
