Slugging Perk
I think slugging should be a perk. I think that would help with the toxicity of some killers.
For those who didnt understand what im saying. Slugging in general is not my issue its slugging specifically to take over a game or achieve 4k.

Like having more than one player in the dying state. And let that be used in a certain amount of seconds or x amount of times in a match.

While we are at it lets make breaking pallets a perk to and to balance it survivors now have a struggle perk if they don't equip they don't struggle in the 2nd phase and just die

We also should have hooking perk, without it and slugging perk killer can only injure survivors, it would really balance game.

You dont need slugging to get a 4k. At least i thought you didnt. You need hooks to kill survivors. Thats part of the game. Slugging is something people came up and its usually to take over a game. Whether they want to admit it or not.

Why else would you slug? I mean im not a good killer. i can get a 4k. I dont need to tunnel slug or camp for it. By all means explain to me what slugging is needed for. Besides giving a survivor another chance after theyve been hooked twice what else? Maybe im just going up against crap killers who use it to be toxic.

Yes against potatoes you don't need to do anything and can get a 4k.
The game changes depending on the survivors ability to push out gens/keep chase up. Slugging is something killers do when the opportunity presents itself, in order to apply pressure.

I'm sure there is lots off killers that can get 4k with out slugging, some do it to the last two to get the 4k to make sure they pip, other's do it because they want to or to be toxic, but trying to make it into a perk would really screw up the balance.
Sometimes you have to slug someone because there is someone right there trying to get the save so you have to take care off them then come back for the other person. Worst case they are all there so what else are you going to do apart from slugging them all pick one up just for them to wiggle out.

So of all the killers in the game with all the different unique perks each killer has the slugging is what you need to put pressure on the survivors? Pressure on them to do what? Lol. You're not their teacher. You're not their coach. Slugging 4 people doesn't apply pressure. It ends the game. Saw a game yesterday where a Billy slugged everyone and three disconnected. Then he said thanks to the last survivor for not dcing so he could close the hatch. But hooked them. He took over an entire game by slugging to do something he wouldn't otherwise be able to do had he hooked people like intended.

Tunnel. That's what you're going to do anyways when you get hit by DS. You're faster than a survivor. All you have to do is walk behind one and you catch up. Plus how many hit boxes are screwed up right now? If DS hinders you that much whats that thing you guys say. Get gud?

When the devs were asked "What tools do killers have to apply pressure?" after they nerfed ruin, their answer was slugging.
I know when I played survivor (or this game at all), I hated being slugged.
When I played killer, I hated slugging.
It's boring on both sides of the fence but it's what the devs have told killers to do in order to apply pressure in this post ruin world.
As for your idea, it is honestly terrible. You want killers to run around with a wiffleball bat unless they run a perk? In a horror game?
That's like making survivors require a perk to work on generators or move.
This idea would, 100%, drive all the remaining killers away.
If slugging is that big of an issue for you, run Unbreakable.

Yes, 4 people slugged is a win condition, if 4 people get slugged you played bad and deserve to lose, there's also unbreakable if you don't like being slugged and want a second chance.

Also, every time someone complains about DS, surviviors reply "just slug them". And YOU want a slugging to be a perk. I think you, as a survivior main, have just ascended to some higher astral plane and attained survivior nirvana.

I don't think you got what I said LOL, to clarify what I mean by "if 4 people get slugged you deserve to lose" is if 4 survivors get slugged they deserve to lose.

I got what you said. You said slugging is to apply pressure to get off gens. You need the survivors off the gens cause youre losing. So you slug them to prevent them from doing gens. And my question was so you need to slug to get 4k? Thats what it comes back to. Ive seen killers play well without slugging and camping and tunneling. It's not impossible. You could say if 4 get slugged you deserve to lose. Slugging three people knowing the fourth is going to try and heal isnt a reflection of the survivors ability its a reflection of the killers.

Lol what? Decisive strike can definitely be used against tunneling. It can be used against slugging too. But most killers now don't even pick you up right away because of decisive strike which is smart. What i said was if someone uses decisive strike against you then tunnel them. Cause thats what youre going to do anyway. I haven't been up against a killer who only slugs, only tunnels, or only camps. Theyre usually doing at least two if not all. And really cool do what you got to do to get 4k i guess. But most people just DC now. Which leaves the rest of us trying to do 5 gen with 3 or less people. Or like i mentioned earlier when people slug the game to achieve some ritual or goal at the sake of everyone elses time. Like disagree fine but that just tells me that slugging is apart of most killers repertoire every single game. I dont feel like scrolling up but yea nerfing ruin was stupid. However tell that to the developers.

You don't really need to get people off gens Because you are losing, since survivors already spawn on gens.
Slugging for a 4k depends on a lot of things, if you're playing Billy VS 0 toolboxes you may not need to slug depending on survivor skill.
But if you're playing Myers and you're at 1 gen VS decent players, the most plausible option to win is to try and snowball by slugging.
Slugging 3 people is also a reflection of the survivor's skill, just in a bad way, if there are 2 people downed the survivors priority is to get them up, if both remaining players focus on getting them up the killer is going to have a harder time.

I can't tell if OP is inexperienced or trolling. The people commenting here are confused because you don't need a perk to slug someone. You just... slug them. By leaving them on the ground. No perk necessary.

@Bunnie you seem to be hung up on the idea of a 4k because you keep bringing it up.
The devs did not specify which leaves the door open for speculation.
Considering that the devs balance around a 2k scenario, it can, honestly be argued that they meant "in order to get even a 2k", killers must slug.

You literally just said the point of the thread. I genuinely think slugging needs to be a perk. There shouldnt be anything in the game survivors or killers can do non stop that pushes the game in one way or the other.

Exactly. Its the survivors job to get them up. If im going up against Oni for example he can easily slug 2 or 3 people with the the demon run thing. Then ofc the fourth survivor will feel pressure as the previous guy stated to get those others survivors up. The killer isnt going to say oh yea just putting pressure on you guys to move your asses hes going to go for those other two survivors. You can skirt half the damn map with billy oni or legion. Idk how many legion killers ive been up against that tunnel the entire game with frenzy and just do stupid crazy the entire game. im here to play the game as intended. im not here to make it easy for you to reach your rift goals or close a damn hatch. i want to play. its a waste of time going people who slug to control the game for five minutes so they can achieve a goal. just do it while youre playing! idc about losing but i want to enjoy the game whether you mori me sacrifice me or let me bleed out idgaf. hell slug me if you want but using slugging as a way to control the game is just not okay.

Slugging CAN be toxic. I'm not saying slugging is always toxic. It isn't always. I'm specifically talking about when it is toxic or used to control the game. Also this is my thread sweety. I bring up 4k because when in a match once a killer realizes that that 4k might be out the door is typically when the slugging starts. Im literally pretty good at pinpointing when a killer is going to slug. As far as the 2k scenario if you cant kill two survivors i mean idk what to even say about that. Ive asked the question why slug? The only remotely somewhat logical answer i got was to apply pressure. I dont know what that means but if thats the only reason you can imagine how many killers use it to take over games in their favor. And okay even then fine whatever,. You win some you lose some. But a game that lasts less than 5 minutes so one person in a game of five can achieve a goal and waste everyone elses time is absolute bullcrap. You can say oh youre bad if you all get slugged but even if i want to go heal the survivors if theres 3 survivors down theres a huge chance 1 if not all are going to disconnect. Its like a domino effect.

I swear people don't think of the consequences at all when making these kinds of posts. What you're saying is, that unless you have a perk you can only have 1 person in the dying state? Do you know how many survivors would abuse this? "Oh someone got knocked, I am completely invincible. Let's body block the killer into Oblivion because there is absolutely nothing he can do about it"

I can't win the game by looping? God damn, are you just saying random things now? Looping wastes so much of the killers time = the other survivors are doing generators without a care in the world. Sure, I may die in the end but I won the game for my fellow survivors.

I'm surprised you didn't suggest making that perk a Hex perk, too, since that seems to be the most common suggestion when it comes to survivors' suggestions about killer perks.

If you're losing to slugging it means you're getting caught in bad situations, if the killer downs someone either do a gen or do something to help that person not get hooked. If you're injured or playing against a insta down killer dont show your face or make a bunch of noise. If you notice someone has been stuck in the bleeding out stage and the killer is chasing someone go heal them. Slugging inst toxic, it's you and your team doing dumb #########.

This is the dumbest suggestion I've ever seen on this forum, really.
Survivors are already wayyy overpowered and you wanna make them more OP? Just because you get a few rounds where the killer slugs you, too bad! Don't cry on the forums about it. Equip Unbreakable if it happens often, I'm a survivor main and having slugging be a perk seems like "Oh then unhooking more than 2 people shouldn't be allowed".

It does but looping is a part of running. Lol. You want the survivor to just stand there and get hit? The hit boxes are already screwed up. Every time i play against a huntress an axe curves to hit me. Looping the entire time doesnt win you the game. You have to fi gens. Save people. And open the damn door. And if you chase a survivor who loops you thats on you. Thats exactly why tunneling is so stupid. By the time you actually hit this person weve got two to three gens done. Then you feel dumb and thats when you start slugging cause your salty you made a stupid choice.
