Is BT balanced?
Comments
-
Then someone heals up the unhooker while the unhooked is being chased and hooked.
0 -
Don't try to understand killer logic mate, they think you should be allowed to tunnel someone through DS.
1 -
Yes but that means you just got 3 survivors off gens just by camping. All because the perk that is supposed to punish camping actually doesn't anymore!
0 -
The third person is barely off the gen. Just heal them out of Dying (which takes less than 30 seconds) and then back to business. Meanwhile, you were still busy with one person who may or may not have DS.
0 -
No.I meant genrushing. Because a lot of those saves happen by the person who was found on the gen by the killer so now he goes hook-diving since he knows he'll go down
0 -
Getting a save =/= getting gens done
0 -
It encourages safe saves while maintaining the tool you have against campers.
0 -
That doesn't counter camping in the slightest what?
0 -
BT is balanced as is and currently something that counters camping which we all know is something insanely hard to counter especially in solo
1 -
It was in the perfect place before it got changed with the legion update.
Now that it has deep wounds..... Its a perk with super high reward with very little risk. For a perk of its type
0 -
Yes, it does. It gives the person on hook a fighting chance.
Current BT is way overtuned. It has received buff after buff. It is pretty much only used to unhook in the Killer's face and not receive any punishment.
You want a new suggestion? Here:
If a Killer remains in the vicinity (24m) of a hooked Survivor for more than 15 seconds, without other Survivors being present, BT can be used. This prevents the abuse from people abusing it and it keeps it as an anti-camp tool.

Deep wounds are not for free downs, they are to get survivors off of gens.
0 -
Thanks for making BT useless in solo
0 -
BT has no counterplay (other than stealth killers wraith, pig and ghostface) no risk with the perk anymore, which is why the devs made the perk used infinity and gave it the deep wound. Honestly BT needs to get Legion'ed just pretend it's a perk but it has little effect
0 -
How is it useless in Solo?
0 -
Two issues I have with it. One, it's used to guard the rescuer. Unhooked survivor simply body blocks, and both can get away safety. Second, if EGC has begun, or the gate is 99, then it's a free escape. I really dislike that, myself.
0 -
I can see survivors wanting to use their DS and get caught by the killer since it's just things survivors do when they have 60 seconds of immunity.
Therefore, can I be downed from my teammates poor decisions? 😁
0 -
Tbh I think no survivor perks would need any nerf if some of the core issues would get fixed. Imo changing perks are only more bandaid fixes. But if the devs only focus on perks I see a problem with BT. Its not that BT is too strong. From my view this perk should only work for what its meant to be.
0 -
In that case.... Why did they decrease the amount of time it takes to cleanse it if slowing the game down is its primary purpose?
And say what you want about deep wounds but borrowed time shouldn't share it with legion.
0 -
They took away time so they could revert a couple of Legion's add ons which was a pretty bad decision tbh. BT and Legion share the same function: keep survivors off of gens for a little bit. I think mend time should be reverted but the tick pauses are fine.
0 -
So it's balanced but abusable?
0 -
Can it be balanced if its abusable?
0 -
It's the worst designed perk in the game (right after Keksisive Egostroke). It encourages and enables mindless hookrushing with no repercussions whatsoever.
0 -
Thats the biggest nerf ever and would literally kill the perk. IMO it should just apply to whos using it. Meaning if I have BT and someone farms me, I'll get the BT effect. But if I unhook someone who doesn't have BT they wouldn't get it that way it doesn't encourage farming
0 -
Yes I always run BT because you will always get those killers that face camp especially when the exit gates are open and they haven’t scored a kill yet also really useful for when survivors get hooked in the basement I’m a killer main but occasionally play survivor it is annoying to go against but I’ll usually go for the unhooker rather than the unhooked.

BT is balanced the priblem is BT plus DS
0 -
BT is so damn fine like it is. I don't get it why people crying about it. It's ridiculous, just go after the unhooker. Or is that too much work for u babies? I mean for me as killer it's not.
2 -
I think the concept of BT is balanced, but deep wounds/mend bar has been buffed so much with Legion there's zero risk to using the perk. But the same can be said with a lot of meta perks.
0 -
The way its activated is fine, but the deep wounds affect is BS. Its no really "Borrowed Time" When you can run around without your timer going down.
1 -
More so than DS
0 -
door open, you have a survivor hooked, other survivor comes to save them, unhook, unhooked player bodyblocks and takes a hit, both escape.
Thats kinda the crappy scenario that happens too often.
0 -
Deep wounds aren't for free downs they are for preventing survivors from working on gens.
0 -
Solution: don't be stupid and just facecamp during end game
0 -
How is it a nerf and will kill the perk? It still punishes campers but it doesn't let you abuse it to make bad plays.
0 -
The other survivor limitation is very punishing for solos as I mentioned. Also if no survivor is near the killer when they are camping they are technically punishing the killer already. BT imo should punish all forms of camping, even when it's "strategic".
1 -
i get very frustrated when playing against it when more than a person has it, but that's about it, it's balanced in my opinion
0 -
Why? That's called punishing a Killer because Survivor's are playing poorly.
Let's flip it, Killer makes a mistake and gets hit by a pallet, so he instant downs you because of a perk. That wouldn't be fair. He made a mistake, he should be punished for it.
0 -
Do you mean spirit fury?
1 -
Not a instant down, plus, you have to break two other pallets first. Also, you need to run Enduring for it to be good, which nobody does because those slots are used for gen regression perks.
0 -
Yes for BT the requirements are there as well: unhook another survivor
0 -
Which is something you will always do.
BT is overtuned. It will be nerfed.
0 -
Killers will always break pallets...DS is gonna be nerfed before BT
I don't know if BT killed your kids or something but you really hate it man.
0 -
Bt is busted. Scrubs should not be able to rush the hook like they do. They need to nerf it to the ground.
0 -
Because the only time I ever see it used is when Survivors make dumb plays and they cannot be punished for it.
0 -
Did I comment here already? BT could be more balanced, it should be activated in certain distance of the Killer, instead of Terror Radius. So many things effect Terror Radius, and it's just not a accurate measurement of the killer to the hook for it's intended purpose.
0 -
Sometimes they don't, soemtimes its more effecient to leave the pallet there. And its still a more active playstyle and requires 2 pallets and not just one unhook. The fact DS procs after Deliverance or a kobe is dumb as well.
0 -
Yes let's nerf kobes and chests, now I know why they made Ace's perks so weak lol.
0 -
This is a bit of a cop out response, Spirit Fury gives the same result of poor play rewarding the player. People also do use this in red ranks on a number of killers. Borrowed Time is generally fine in my opinion unless you hook someone directly beside an exit gate, but it's pretty GG by that point unless you're running Blood Warden or Remember Me. As a game, it's generally no fun at all for the killer to tunnel anyone directly off the hook. It also only activates if you're camping the survivor or they're greedy for a save, but that normally results in trading places.
With that being said, the only change I think would be fair would be to remove the perk to proc once the generators are done or the gates are powered as the killer really has no reason to leave the hooked survivor. Spirit Fury could also be brought up to 3 pallets because it lets you be a complete 4head in chases.
