freddy can hit survivors when they are at the other side of the pallet *gg devs*
yeah. i am angry. i am done with freddy. i will never play against him. why? ... his hit box is just broken. i drop the pallet or vault over it and get everytime hit. this shouldn't be a thing. i remember one stream... one dev said, you made his weappon a little bit longer or something like that. yeah... i notice it every game against him. is so nice. so we can remove pallets. we dont neeed them. because they DO NOT WORK!!!! this can not be a server thing. ...

- All killers have the same hitbox, just the weapons look diffrent = thus resulting it in looking kinda weird sometimes
- You just got.... dedicated. As in, the killer saw that they should and will hit you while you saw that it shouldn't.

In case you missed it when they made the stream a few weeks ago, this should explain things for you.

yeah but when there is already a pallet between killer and me... i don't get it.

Because on the killer's screen, you were close enough to take the hit, so the hit registered. Yes it sucks, but they have to go with one or the other.
Same thing with grabs. Often on the killer side, you should get a grab, but on the survivor side, they're long gone. So they don't get grabs. They give some to one side, some to the other.

It is annoying, all killers can hit a distance greater than the pallet length. Also pallets will push the killer to safety if they are under it, and sometimes the pallet will switch you from the side you dropped it on to the other side so you are right next to the killer. For a game with so much lag problems it is kind of silly how small the window is to use something safely. You can't use it based off of what you see on the screen, because the visuals and game play are like half a second off.
I wish I understood what the Devs are going for. I feel like they have an idea of what they want gameplay to be like but it doesn't line up with what players want. To me it seems like they want to make it a game which favors the killer so they have more people hosting games (the killers' machine hosts the game.) So they listen to the complaints of killer mains who say the game is survivor heavy.

By safety do you mean get stunned and pushed to the side? If so that is to prevent getting stuck in the pallet.
Also i've yet to see survivor being the one teleported (if that happens its usually the killer)

That's latency, not hitboxes. It's all explained in the stream that @Marcavecunc kindly linked for you.
If you want to understand what the devs are going for with things like hitboxes and latency, watch the stream linked above. The short answer is, they're trying to create the best possible experience for everyone, which includes minimising latency as much as possible. Hit detection has to be killer-sided, because it feels worse for the killer to miss a hit they should have got than it does for the survivor to get hit from further away, but they're not satisfied with the fact that the latter is possible either, which is why they're working to minimise the effect of latency on both sides.

I've watched the video, the problem will always be the killer and survivor are playing two different realities, one side is always going to feel bad when a bad hit lands. Windows currently are crazy. If I clear a window hit the ground and start to run I can get downed by a killer who swings on the other side of the window. It looks so silly. I can see a killer on one side of the wall and get hit by him because in his game reality he has changed directions and walked up behind me even though in my reality he is still on the other side of the wall. Because there is lag the devs have to decide whose reality registers the hit. It is a fun game and I love the concept. I would love if they created a new version where online play was not the only option. A computer controlled killer for offline play would be appreciated so I could play a lagless game. Or perhaps an algorithm could be created which takes all players connection speeds into account and adjusted hitboxes' size (which are actually pill shaped capsules) by speed of connection. So if the servers know there is lag the survivors hitbox is smaller to compensate for the fact they are at a disadvantage based off of what their screen shows. This would divide the frustration between killers and survivors instead of saying the survivor bears all the frustration lag brings.
