Camping NOED just leave me please!!!
Just had a game against a Myers who spent forever trying to get me and did as the last gen popped so he face camped me. I didn't give up because I wanted to buy my team time to open the gates but one came to save me and long story short he got three kills... THREE and he should have gotten ONE HOOK and ONE KILL total.
If you want killers to stop using NOED,then we have to stop rewarding it with this overly altruistic play

This is the one time I will leave someone on hook. Usually I will at least look for the totem, but if I can't find it, I'm out the gate. Like you, I'll happily eat the hook and allow my team to escape, but you can't stop them from trying. It used to be that you did the 'raise your hands in the air' emote to signal you were being camped, move on. But now it seems to be used for "Come rescue me" instead so it all gets confusing. If you see me in game and im being camped with noed, do a quick totem search, then get the heck out if you can't find it.

Same. If NOED pops and I'm hooked, color me dead. Save yourself and tell my family I love them

What's so frustrating is I run Kindred basekit so they freaking know I am being camped and they still charge in... I guess they're being heroes but they're not even setting up for a trade 1-1 or using BT so we both die.

If someone is hypothetically making a list of people who are opting into dying on the hook when NOED is active, sign me up. You can leave me, I understand. If you want to check the area next to the gate to see if NOED is there, that works too, but please don't throw yourself at the killer when they have NOED. It almost always backfires.

This is why I say NOED doesn't need a nerf, people just need to be smarter. If killers kept getting 1 kill from NOED they would either DEPIP so far that you never see them again, or realize it doesn't help and use something else. It would self-correct itself if we stopped thinking that EVERYONE has to escape.

I encountered a spirit with noed when I was doing my 2 protection hits with David challenge. The gate was open, I had a clear run at it, and she'd just picked up the last survivor but I still hadn't got that second protection hit...

I went from 0 to 4k in the end game without noed and using legion. Not a common occurence for sure, but the survivors kept going for the save and I kept grabbing and dropping them until all 4 were down. Thing is they played so well the entire game that I only got 2 hooks before the end game and then they screwed up.
That's one thing about killer, the game is never really over until it is over. Yes survivors can do their objective fast but killers can do it even faster if they play the cards right.

If the killer has NOED and you're on the hook I'm headbutting their weapon with the top of my skull because that's how I roll.
I'd rather get the unhook than escape despite escaping giving slightly more points. I dunno I just feel bad if I let you go.
Be freeeeeee

NOED does not need a nerf, it needs a prerequisite. I've seen enough crap killers get 3k because they face camp hook 1, then score two hits after gens pop.
We tell these survivors to hit gens during a camp, but that just feeds NOED at the end. Would like to see a 3 gook minimum (as in 3 different survivors) and NORD spawns even if no dull totem is left after 5 gens.
You guarantee its use and reward the work.

this is why noed and camping are valid strategies
don't blame the killer, blame the game

In my limited experience:
Across 55 games with NoED, 22 sacrifices were made thanks to the perk. That's an average of .44 extra kills because of the perk. Of course this is in part due to the fact that some killers got the 4K before NoED even activated. So NOED doesn't even always activate.

If he is camping and especially if he has NOED...yes leave. I played this camping scrub Myers (and is there some rule every Myers has to be total trash?) get me in the basement with insidious. I told my swfs not to come and save me..do gens. The rando tried but okay he didn't know but one of my swfs tried too and he ended up with a 4k, instead of a 1k. Punish trash killers by escaping rather than giving them a 4k...do gens, open the gates and then be toxic as nuclear waste at the exit gate..tbag...flashlight blind, spam him in chat. Go write trash on his profile...whatever...but don't give him a 4k when he doesn't deserve it.

I'd support that but I go after gens with reckless abandon and have the perks to find them. I do 3 and 4 totems a match...wish my other 3s (and it is worse when I am solo) could do just one or two of them so NOED is moot.

Same to me.
Legion that catch me after 5 minutes of chase and facecamping me (i accept that).
Last gen pop.
Legion get 4 kill for Noed and over altruistic play.
Noed is the most unfair perks of DBD, but until the devs don't fix, just escape to the gate.
Don't give satisfaction to this type of killer.

When I play survivor, which is less and less lately, I hit totems hard. Sucks when I hit 4 totems and NOED still goes off.

Sure does doesn't it...you are thinking what....you three can't do one single totem? But to be sorta fair...I have seem them literally inside bushes, bags, small alcoves behind walls and without help (e.g. detective's) not always the easiest...then sometimes they are sitting out right next to a gen...gotta love RNG.

I've seen some truly devious totem locations in the Dead Dog Salon.

For me, and I think a lot of people, a crazy game where you go for a dumb/risky save and 2-4 people die instead of 1, it was still a much more enjoyable end to the match.
Leaving with people in the hook is never fun, interesting, or satisfying. It's just boring. It's the "smart" play... but it's only smart if you care way too much about 5K BP.
If the killer actually chased one guy, hooked him after 5 gens, and then facecamps him with NOED, that means you spent the whole game doing nothing but gens. And now, at the end, presented with an opportunity to actually play the video game and interact with the killer to get your teammate out... you just leave? "No thanks, I had too much excitement from those skill checks and that one time I heard the terror radius a little. Five thousand BP is much too valuable, think of all the thing I could buy with it."

I think it was the Asylum map...that or the Game. There was this pile of trash and a bag on its side. The totem was inside the bag...100% obscured from three sides and the open side faced a wall and just a narrow path way between the wall and the bag. Without detective's I would have never found it--it was a dull totem, but it could have easily been NOED at some point. And yes at Dead Dawg too...totems placed inside support structures and impossible to see on three sides and only by luck or perk/add-on would you ever find it.

I think the NOED meta is really starting to backfire. It is not the only reason, but I've seen way more SWF lately. 9 matches in a row.

I'd rather have a team of specialists. I don't want to interact with the killer...I don't want to even see the killer. I want to do gens, and heal and unhook if I need to, open the gate, and eventually leave. Let someone loop the guy all game while the rest of us do gens and we all leave alive.

I agree it's more fun, and I will often give myself up to save a teammate, especially if it's endgame and it's literally their first hook that is almost unfair to them. But against NOED it isn't fun or brave, it's just rewarding bad play and encouraging that player to keep using NOED.

Yes because players in this game clearly make perk choices and gameplay styles based on what will make them pip and never based on emotions. You’ve figured out humanity. Congrats.
People use NOED just so they get that one kill or two kills. And NOED Can keep you in purple ranks forever. And purple rank killers are matched with EVERYONE. Your theory makes no sense.
Want to stay in purple forever? Tunnel one survivor till they’re dead. NOED kill the second one during EGC. Success. Nothing wrong with the “win” conditions of this game at all... /s

Then ######### on hook otherwise it looks like you want to be saved
