Tunneling and Camping Incentive Idea
Here's a quick idea for an incentive to reward non tunnelers/campers:
- Three scores when hooking a survivor, one for hook points, one for which stage of hook, and one for it being a different survivor than previously hooked.
- Hooked: 300 sacrifice.
- Caught: 200 sacrifice.
- Entity summoned: 100 + 5 bp per second spent outside of 16 meters in sacrifice. (Or just 200 if they're last to die)
- Sacrifice: 200 sacrifice.
- Fresh Blood I: 200 sacrifice, awarded for hooking a survivor different from last one hooked.
- Fresh Blood II: 250 sacrifice, awarded for hooking a survivor different from last two hooked.
- Fresh Blood III: 300 sacrifice, awarded for hooking a survivor different from last three hooked.
Not saying this would do much, but I think awarding killers who don't tunnel/camp should be paid slightly more attention to, lately it's mostly just punishing campers/tunnelers. Which is good, but I think this could help a little.

You need to prevent Camping and Tunneling. Or make it at least easily countered. Rewards for not doing it doesnt solve anything.

It's often more effective to reward than punish.

Not only did this reward doing well, it punished camping and tunneling by removing a fair amount of bloodpoints for tunneling and camping.

BBQ and Chilli disagrees with you.

I like this. I was thinking about something similar this morning, wondering why they don't reward killers for leaving the hook, instead of punishing them? But then I bit in to some bacon.

I like the way you think (and eat).

I like the idea! Though I think the "fresh blood" should just be that the next person hooked is different from the previous person hooked, rather than having levels up for hooking all four once before second-hooking. Sometimes that simply isn't possible or even the smart move to do. It's great to have everyone on death hook, but that's a lot of time, and they could still all escape.
I really like the idea of the BP rewards for being outside 16 meters, too. There are similar punishments already in the Chaser emblem category:
- -3 points: deducted each second you are within moderate proximity (16 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
- -7.5 points: deducted each second you are within extreme proximity (8 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
However these don't specify if the killer is in a chase, and I think that's a good caveat to have! It's not tunneling/camping if I'm chasing a survivor and they decide to run around the hook person. Or if I've just hooked someone and immediately see/hear someone right there. My attention is on the chase, not on camping. Because 'survivor found' and 'chased' are BP events, hopefully there'd be a way to include that so killers don't get punished for doing their objective but just in an unfortunate location.
But overall, I definitely agree that adding more rewards for NOT camping than adding punishments for camping is a great idea.
