Why FNAF? There are so many other horror game franchises that would fit better with maintaining that dark and grim atmosphere. And yes, FNAF may have some of that but aesthetically, I don't think it can work.
7 -
I think adding a jumpscare element would be different, killers now days aren't exactly scary so adding this would also get people nervous and more cautious

Sorry but I just don't see it. I enjoyed some aspects about fnaf years ago until Scott was literally making all these half-baked "stories" up as he went, and the fanbase drove it into the dirt even faster than he could.
I also don't see how you could make something like springtrap good or interesting. A character that comes from a game that literally keeps you completely in the dark about the enemy movement and behaviour, and never even shows any kind of attack on the player except for the ultimate, completely expected jumpscare that has absolutely not been done to death now, which is the only thing FNAF has going for it. It's just a worn down suit, with very little to actually start to think of some good ideas for it.
2 -
i see no reason to not add him so, why not.
3 -
In that case they should just add chucky if you want jump scares, he does that alot
3 -
We don't need more then. Furries are some of the most pretentious people I've ever met.

I wish I simply misread the title, but it is indeed a FNAF post.

Springtrap's canonical means of killing wouldn't really fit as a power; maybe as a mori. A number of the animatronics in FNAF have a dual nature of being both an animatronic that moves around automatically and a mascot suit a person can wear and walk around in. In order for a person to put it on as a suit, the robotics on the inside have to be folded back and locked into place with springlocks. Springtrap generally kills by luring children into a back room, putting them into one of these suits, and then triggering the springlocks so that all the robotics sudden snap into place puncturing the victim from all sides.
It's not really suited to be a power. If you were to base his power on the FNAF games, a reasonable power would be to some how inflict survivors with debuffs that require them to perform a specific action; if they don't complete the action, then a jumpscare would pop up, cover the majority of their screen, and cause them to scream. His physical attack would probly be just swiping an arm at the survivor much like the Hag.

I'd be all for it, I signed :)

i know what Springtrap or other animatronics power should be stealth based crawling in air vents on they map should be the only killer to be able hide in lockers
that mean tho adding air vents to all maps in some way.

I see but his name is springtrap, and his good at engineering traps from I understand. It sounds like he could punish survivor's on gens as well if he had an ability where he could trap generator's to lock survivor's onto the gen with his traps, what if two mechanical arms grabbed the survivor's jk ,or some type of trap like trapper but it's more of like arm bolts that trap survivor's the can alert the killer because of failed skill check but would not receive notification if survivor is trapped it would appear as regular skill check. the jump scare can be his passive ability so when they are attacked from the gen theybecome frightened. I'm not sure how this can be triggered?

i think we already have 9 year olds, how some people act and play.
15 -
Buddy I don't know if you noticed, but half of the forum's are full of kid's ^ at least. I believe and most of the games I'm in are kid's go figure huh? maybe not tho there's adults believe like fnaf to like popular streamers,I'm not sure if they'll pick up DBD just because of that reason tho.
2 -
This franchise is still a thing? I stopped hearing about it after the third game.
1 -
Call of Duty is also rated M, but that didn't stop Little Timmy from roasting my mom in Modern Warfare 2 lobbies.
Jokes aside, I don't really think many 9 year-olds play FNaF anymore, considering:
A) FNaF fans that were 9 year olds during the games' peak are now 15, so it wouldn't be weird to assume there was a maturity growth there.
B) Newer FNaF games don't attract as much of a younger crowd, since the newer games are developed by AAA studios, and have more horror in their environments and aesthetics rather than just jumpscares.

No thanks.

I think this would be a nice addition to dbd.
3 -
Almost 7500 signed now, Woah sure is alot of people wanting this.
1 -
That's pretty impressive ngl.
Hopefully it gains the devs' attention. 🙂
2 -
Springtrap would fit perfectly and I would definitely use him because I am a killer main and I like fnaf but I am a free to play so it would be great to have him as a chapter but you can buy him with iredescint shards
2 -
No licensed character so far has been buyable with iridescent shards (on pc/xbox/ps4) and I doubt it would be any different for a FNAF chapter. Certainly because it's a very popular franchise. Much money could be earned with a chapter like this.
0 -
I know but maybe after a while like two chapters it would be nice because I know that their not going to do this because it seems really fun playing as your favourite movie or game killer
0 -
Survivors if you voted you have possibly brought this upon yourselves

Dude they bought License that had cost way more then just Fnaf could have gotten, the game got some popularity but it isn’t a icon of horror or thriller by really any means. I wouldn’t say it would be worth a fortune
an example of something that would be worth a fortune and very difficult to obtain would be the alien franchise, that is worth a fortune and is ridiculous to pair that with Fnaf
EDIT: did some digging and Fnaf net worth is 27 million, Micheal myers and the halloween franchise is 640 million. Alien is 1.26 billion, fnaf really doesn’t compete

That's the same picture that made me say NO
Oogaa Boogaa

I don't really think it's fair to compare fnaf net worth right now to other popular movies that have had decades and decades of time to grow and get money. Fnaf is like 6 years old and only really exposed to the internet because it's a game franchise. A very popular game franchise but still a game franchise.
Maybe you should wait for the fnaf movie to come out and let the franchise be exposed to the public before comparing it to the other horror icons that came in the theater. Not saying that the others aren't great horror icons with lots of money but it's just not fair to compare fnaf net worth when it hasn't had the chance to be seen by like idk a 40 year old who doesn't care about gaming on the internet. After all, if stranger things wasn't even a horror icon and got in, I feel like Fnaf can slip right in.
1 -
Im not arguing about what Fnaf can make the post I was responding to made it sound like Fnaf was worth way more then it actually is, saying how costly it would be for BHVR to acquire the License. I have no idea if Fnaf could earn more I’m just saying that it costing a “Fortune” will definitely not be an issue when we have licensed killers that most likely cost BHVR more money then Fnaf would. Though overall I’m against the FNAF chapter either way.

Numbers have already passed 7,900, do the devs even know about this?
1 -
I feel like this image was kind of a cherry pick. It's not even an official render. This would be a more accurate portrayal (excluding the colors).
3 -
Unlicensed killers are much better imo
Spirit
Oni
Deathslinger
Are all cool recent DLC killers.
0 -
I mean, we have stranger things and ghostface. I'd say FNAF fits perfectly fine by now.
3 -
Man imagine having 0 imagination. Oh wait. You cant....
Scott made up ######### to keep pumping out money. After 4 it was obvious. Doesnt preclude springtrap considering he was in the first few.
Also, "not seeing his movement" the whole time is a perfect example of horror that's not just "kill em all bang bang slash" gore fests.
0 -
It's could be like demo where he could place the vents. Or that could be his way of using lockers. If your playing a Springtrap then instead of hatchets being in the locker it's vents and he could teleport (crawl through the vents) from one locker to another. (Give a viable reason to use iron maiden lol)
3 -
Funny considering the people that were that young when it came out have grown up quite a bit. And there shouldnt be 9 year olds here PERIOD, but stranger things has already brought them in.
3 -
You forget that it making less overall, means its cheaper to obtain, and therefore, BHVR can make more money on profit.
The less they pay to be able to sell $10 DLC and $15 skins, the more they pocket.

It's not scary though, there's tons of choice other than fnaf in games what happen to all of the resident evil fans,Fear they could get Alma ,A killer from Siren I don't know much about the series but it's scary there's just so many better choice's I'm sure there's multiple characters to be into then eventually youll have a favorite character, but fnaf is not scary and goofy.

I believe Resident Evil actually has a game with an asymmetrical pvp mode. It's unlikely they would help out their biggest competition in that field. I've never played Fear or Siren, but are those games more popular than FNAF?
3 -
i like that

Yes and no in the late 90's and early 2000s these games were all the hype. I understand it's more of a generational thing but there's tons of other monster's scarier and more suited for Dead by Daylight. Resident evil resistance isn't doing to well either they could do a cross over with that company to boost rer playability by putting Nemesis or Whatever the rezy fan's want by having to games one that's competitive and casual could co exist.Fear is pretty awesome for an fps and it's very creepy Alma is a ghost or spirit who want move on from this world because she want's revenge. Scientists did awful in human experiments on her but this gave her psychic kententic powers which she used to bind her self to this world idk ,I don't know much about Siren but I'm sure someone here played it ,I did play a demo and the people were much like the re4 people. they are possessed and really trying to kill you they move very eary,I was young I played it so obviously I just couldn't run out and buy it but it must be something there, but fnaf come on guy's seriously.

Personally resident evil one and the Tyrant original probably would be more frightening *oh but look Im not making this about race also but people wanted another male Spanish survivor if they do something like this pack, they could get Nemesis,Jill, and Carlos?*
0 -
Surely we can have both.

Plus one. Furries are very, very pretentious

More than 9.000 signatures already!

As if this petition is going to really do anything.
Change.org is a joke.
Side: Also someone acting like PH and Springtrap are some how even close to equal. lol
6 -
Also a friendly reminder that it takes like 5 months to make a killer.
So if the devs take intrest in this it won't be the next 2 killers
2 -
its reached 10,000

Almost 12.000 ♥️😏
