I haven't played killer after the update, but the auras seems way worse than before for the survivors, so I will assume it's the same for killers.

Jesus Christ, who the hell came up with the new auras design?
They are SO BAD to the point it's infuriating. I've had several games as a killer where I used BBQ and I COULD BARELY notice there was a survivor repairing a gen in the distance(you know, the aura of the survivors being glued to the aura of the generator, you couldn't make a difference between those 2), heck in a match on Lampkin Lane I've had a survivor with OoO and only after a couple of minutes I noticed he has OoO because I literally didn't see his aura or his aura was so weak I didn't make notice of it...
The new auras are so WEAK and BLURRED(sort of transparent), that it's actually a PAIN to keep tracking them. In one match I've had to look for 15 seconds at the start of the match to actually find the location of my Hex:Ruin because I literally couldn't distinguish the aura of the hex...
Please, for God's sake, revert the auras to how they were before...This is YET another change you implemented that WASN'T NEEDED at all!

For survivor its not bad i just played a game with OoO to see how it look like i could see the killer aura but because we were on ormond never he saw mine so i think those aura greatly favor the survivor

it is 2020 aura colors should be able to be chosen, intensity as well. Simply allowing color choosing of auras would aid with color blind players too.

I played in coldwind farm with BBQ and I was not able to see the auras of the other side of the map. Seems they are merged with the generators. Such a bad update

there should be a way to go back to the old aura systems, this new one is terrible I can't see anything, all the contrast is gone and you can barely see the auras

I'm done playing this game until auras are fixed. They need to be just as visible as before.
I can "live with" not being able to notice blood on the ground. I can "live with" invisible scratch marks on Ormond (though i might d/c from the match). But auras being this invisible on every single map? Nah.

I played both sides and it's about what you'd expect for both sides. I'm not sure if I'm really a fan of it or not but I can definitely tell you because they're less clear aura reading perks like BBQ are gonna take a huge hit in viability. Especially since most auras can be read only for a few seconds tops
It's just more noticeable and in a certain sense, worse for killers because they're stuck in that first person POV and can't see as much on their screen. On top of that killers generally see more auras on their screen than survivors because they see the auras of generators, hooks, exit gates, etc. all at base and you have to distinguish these from each other especially at long distances.
Especially since survivors are naturally smaller, a killer reading a survivor's aura all the way across the map will be harder to tell than a survivor seeing the killer's very tall and distinct figure across the map. Especially if that survivor is repairing a generator, then the colors kind of blend together and you have to make an educated guess / hunch that you think you saw somebody working on a generator over there. Usually you're probably right, but the fact that you're uncertain and you second guess yourself isn't very comfortable for killers who need to be micromanaging every single moment and every single action in order to maintain pressure.
Honestly, I don't think I like this change. I wouldn't at all be opposed to it being reverted back, even just from an aesthetic standpoint they don't look very updated and brand new, they actually low key kind of look worse because they're more grainy and faded.

a change to auras only affects killers it seems....despite the fact that survivors have tons of aura reading perks, and the fact that pictures on this very forum show that survivors are struggling too.
The bias and conspiracy theories on here are insane

Isn't it hilarious? People can't seem to fathom that a change can be bad for both sides. Just because it's bad for one side doesn't mean it's automatically good for the other.

I agree they need to put it back the way it was. I have vision problems as it is and for it to be like this now and I use Bond and Kindred its absolutely terrible.

I dont see the problem if they would use it for the aura reading. it s what someone quite of a newbie should say or new to the perk. bbq is used for both bp and aura reading. i have the feeling you mean that it s too OP and unbalanced the way you said it.

Trapper pretty much became hide and seek with his own traps right now, holy cow.
I can barely spot those without the guide, I don't know how the trapper mains are gonna manage this atm without being disgusted.

I found that Feng's Alert doesn't work sometimes, like yes the auras are crap right now, but sometimes Alert's aura doesn't show at all

seriously! Why fix what's not broken? Its bad enough that every map is 20% darker but now if you run BBQ its near impossible to see a survivors aura in maps like Ormond or The Game. I dont know who's idea it was to make this change but its overall a bad one.

In the picture you can ,,clearly'' see the auras of my team during dream state. Didn't see freddy once using alert this game, aswell as my teammates on empathy. I can't imagine who in the hell at behavior thought this was a good idea to begin with, you can't properly use BBQ, kindred and other aura reading perks.

These two threads in the Q&A forum are to try to get the devs to address this, I sincerely ask anyone who's frustrated with this change to vote them up so they're more likely to be picked by the devs to answer on the Q&A stream.

Yeah, these auras are terrible. Way too hard to see on either side. Killers and Survivors can maybe finally agree on something? Maybe that was the Dev's plan all along. Unite the community with something everyone hates.

I can clearly see the injured guy tbh. You are just tripping for who knows why. It is better now you don't have big glowing stars on your screen and they are less distracting.

Easy fix is to increase saturation from 5% to 100% and brightness from 25% to 100%, just so I can actually see these damn things!
Heck, increase the darn opacity! Why are they less visible than cloaked Wraith from 60 meters ?!

It's "supposed" to redo the old auras and update them to be the same, which should result in less bugs being associated with them, but they accidentally made them way too dark to see.
I could take them a day or two, but they will most likely wait an entire week, if even.

If there was one issue I had with auras it's the ######### alert bubble. Perks like Bitter Murmur or Furtive Chase coupled with Nemesis are rendered useless because you can't see the frigging auras through them.
I have yet to bare witness to the new auras yet but I presume that they're going to be even worse an issue than before.

I had a hard time around when Ghost Face was released with the Auras for Gens, Hooks, and Survivors on Ormond, they were so hard to see.
A bit after they were fixed and actually visible. But now they are back to how they used to be as of P Heads update.
Anyone else having a problem?

Try ormond resort i was running devour it was such a small light red pixel i could barely see where it spawned

I can't see them most of the time, especially through certain objects. When playing as killer i literally could not see the aura to the exit gate, it was completely invisible.

Yeah, on Ormond I could NOT see where a survivor was hooked when I went for the rescue. I was running Kindred. It was just way too hard to see.

Billy is alright i just got a 4k with him and didnt overheat onece (you have to rev for like 50 secs to overheat)

Yeah there’s always been a problem with auras on this map since release. I remember reading patch notes once saying they fixed the issue but that doesn’t seem to be the case...

I had to squint to see someone with BBQ, and not to mention Empathy was also absurdly hard to see? Whats going on over there devs?
