Just revert whatever they did in the 4.10 patch. At least make it playable - I don't expect anything groundbreaking for this generation of consoles especially with next gen around the corner.

Hi @MandyTalk - is anyone going to address this? recent changes are making the console versions near unplayable.

Playing doctor with all that electricity on Lerys is so painful.
Also teleporting as Hag... I'm not gonna get into how bad the fps drops at times when you do that.

It will be opt-out, so crossplay will be enabled by default and you have to actively disable it.
Otherwise, the devs would have told us it's going to be opt-in.

Why would they close this thread? All we are simply and politely asking for is an answer in regards to if they are aware of how really bad on consoles the game is running and what happened to that promise of optimisation.

I don't have any update about the fps issues you are facing I am afraid, as soon as I do know I will communicate it but for right now, I have no information I'm afraid.
I think you'll find censorship is not something that is done on this forum - if posts are within the rules, they stay.

Hi, @MandyTalk thank you for acknowledging this discussion. My post came out of frustration if I'm honest as the fps issues on console have fallen upon deaf ears for a long time.

Thank you Mandy for the response. We are concerned because we haven't received a response from any of the devs for something that is seriously ruining the experience of console players - to the point where I don't feel like playing killer (in particular - though survivors are also affected) until this is resolved.

Especially when you gain a Status. There seems to be a huge lag spike when Myers gets Tier 3 Exposed or someone goes download due to NOED the first time.

Thanks Pat. Is the team also aware of memory leak problems on consoles, especially on Switch? I made a post about it on the optimization subforum months ago and I'm wondering if the devs are working on a fix for it.

Not to be a Nancy Downer here (despite the profile pic), but the reply was "the team will take a look at it". The existence of this thread was what got acknowledged, not that fps are highly problematic.
I don't even want to start about actual dates for improvements.
(Disappointed PS4 player since June 2017 here)

A major memory leak came with the Stranger Things update. That has been almost a year ago. If the devs haven't found & fixed it by now, they never will.

The point of crossplay is to shorten queue times so that we can actually play, let’s wait at least a week before asking for this feature because then we would just be denying PC players the best bonus of cross play.

Not at all pony you always have very valid points and what you just said is sadly very true apart of me thinks that us console players might be back here asking the same question down the line.

I'd say a fair match for console players is not less important.

I'm looking at it realistically. Actions speak louder than words. After 3 years I want to see changes happen to the game, not somebody telling us "the team will take a look into it". This reply is not worth anything.
Please note: I have nothing against the community managers or the mods. They are just the messengers and not the ones responsible for the horrible state the console version is in.

The FPS on console has been awful for a long time. My PS4 has no issue running The Last of Us or Red Dead 2 which are both way more visually demanding so why can't it run DBD?

True, I also just remembered it’s impossible to tell which system you’re playing against so there’s that, I guess it would be the best best solution since I myself haven’t played Killer that much since it feels ugly on my eyes. We can always make another 9 page thread supporting the console only cross play :)

If the devs see our reasoning and give us console-only crossplay, then we might not have to go to 9 pages. ;)

The sub-forum for performance issues has been existing for half a year and I haven't seen anything happening.

Seriously tho. The memory leak that forces u to close app after so many games sucks. The fps drops on bloodlust sucks as well.

While it is true that @PatBrutal reply doesn't say if and when our issues will be solved, I don't think this is merely a ok, we know there's this thread. Tech Devs have better things to do than read posts on the forum (especially mine lol), so if the thread has been passed along I have to assume it's because there are some information here that will be useful for them - may it be a mere "console players are actually struggling guys, you need to do something".
I understand that we were promised a lot and we got close to nothing, performance wise, but again, here there's probably some bug behind the scenes that plummeted our fps. I think they can fix it.

on another topic: today I tried a bit of cross play and I gotta say: PS4 survivors play the same, if not better, than PC players, from the little that I saw. To be more precise, console players seem better at juking, while PC players seem better at pathing and looping.
In fact, PS4 survivors 360s are much, much more difficult to face than PC ones - console players know how to make a killer struggle due to the low frame rate (even if they don't play killer, they just learned that something worked), while PC players know that moving left and right is often just a waste of time, making our lives much easier.
...also pc players are much more toxic :D - they really, REALLY love to tbag at exit gates for some reason lol.

That's cause you can't 360 every killer on PC, or wiggle right and left, as they don't lose track of you so easily.
They don't have to fight the terrible performance us consoles killers do, and iirc there is no aim assist to fk you over as well.
Thus , PC survivors play the game in a more "intended way". They have good pathing, while console survivors are kinda of "exploiting" the devs inability to make the game run properly.
About toxicity, yeah, I agree.
I faced my first "mouse wheel flashlight" today, how daunting. Home come the devs allow such thing boggles the mind.
