So true ive bought every dlc and some cosmetics and completed each bp but all i ask is for cross progression so i can go over to my pc or just ya know make the game playable on console ive probably given the devs 200 dollars for like a 30 dollar game.

you don't see a reason why BHVR should stop adding bugs and fix console framerate instead because you don't play on console.

There is little to no point trying to reason with the white knights who will defend bhvr no matter how egregious the issue is. Well said, but that guy will be in another thread apologizing for bhvr in 2 minutes probably

If they have no interest in optimizing console they 1. Should not have said they were going to optimize console and 2. Pushed ahead with crossplay with PC knowing there is a disadvantage for console. Console players have bought DLC, cosmetics, and rifts - they are paying customers being ignored. Console said hold off on crossplay until they fix optimization issues so it would be balanced with PC, devs pushed ahead anyway because PC complained about wait times. Console players put money toward the game to not see the Devs work on making console a better playing experience.

The most infuriating part of all this to me is the lack of timely and clear communication about current gen console optimization, far more than monies and cosmetics or whatever.

Semi-zeroed in timeframes
Basically, hope
If the focus is now the next gens, we kinda need to know that too. Without cross-prog we are very much stuck, in addition to feeling forgotten and possibly abandoned.

I’m not defending anyone, I’m stating that people blaming bhvr’s releasing new content and cosmetics for the lack of optimization is both short sighted and an unrealistic assessment of the situation. Funny how it’s relevant when you people are calling for the wolves but not relevant when someone points out the flaws in the argument. Being loud and passive aggressive achieves as little as making ignorant claims but I suppose it helps people vent their frustrations.🤷🏻♂️

Ok I'll try again: you play only (or mainly) survivor.
If I'm wrong again there are two possibilities:
1- you are masochistic, if you are ok with how things are
2- you are lying
EDIT: just to be a little less tranchant. You are not the only person with a bit of knowledge in Game Dev, you know, but even if you were you would be missing the point that this is not just a problem of game tech development, but also (and probably mostly) a problem of communication management.
BHVR announced that consoles would get 60 fps, and they announced it more than 1 year ago. Now, I didn't believe it for one second, exactly because we know how development goes, and the only way to more than double the current performance was to basically rebuild the game from scratch. There are obviously too many dependancies in their code for it to be that optimised without this work.
However, when you, as a Dev, announce stuff like that, at the very least you cannot make performance WORSE (actually: much worse) as time goes by.
If you don't see the problem, and you don't see how this needs to be fixed, no matter what, you are a bad developer (and this time I'm talking about you, since you are excusing the current situation. At least BHVR is silent, they are not saying "it's fine as it is. Here, new content instead") firstly, and a very bad consumer secondly.

just played another game on lery against pc survivors... false saw, 10 frames, had to lower down my sens, but it doesn't matter i had to quit.. can we disable indoor map? at least even if the frames are bad killer is playable on other maps..

Speaking about survivor...ive been playing survivor alot more lately just cause I dont wanna deal with killer fps...lemme tell you..people werent lying when they said sloppy gives you fps drops holy crap..I ran into a killer that had sloppy today and the stuttering was real.
If anyone is on ps4 playing survivor on dbd. Pray that you dont run into sloppy butcher lol

Or have another survivor open a chest and watch as you either miss a skill check or miss mashing the struggle button because of a worldwide FPS drop.

I've had it from survivor cleansing a totem, dull if nearby or lit from anywhere on map. When Doctor uses blast across the map. When a gen gets completed, especially annoying if you're on hook with adrenaline with plenty of struggle time left. When people bring up skill checks instead of button mashing on hook I just think I'm still going to die from the same crap that causes the mash to mess up. 😂

What like hey guys buy the brand new thing that will probably cost over £600 then rebuy the game if you want that nice frame rate.
I know there is a pandemic going on and your screwed money wise and we know you'll pull through.

I gotta say, I'm willing to wait patiently until the next patch comes to console.
After that, I'll thoroughly test the frame rate, and if it didn't improve (god forbid, it worsens), I won't sit here that patiently.

The devs wont forget this thread, it'll lurk on the front page for as long as console framerate is an issue. If it's an issue for the rest of the games life then it looks like this thread isn't going anywhere. If this one gets closed then another about a similar topic will probably be made.
Me and as I can tell a lot of other people are very passionate about console optimisation, so the thread will keep on going.

Playing the game these days gives me a headache, and that has made me decide to stop playing until there is a minimum of performance when playing it and my head does not explode.

Maybe they don't care about us. They promised to solve the problems of the console version 2 years ago. Do they take us for fools maybe? At this point I don't even want 60 Fps, give me 30 stable and granite so that I don't feel bad.
Yesterday on Lerys the game seemed to be slowing down, I was getting a headache trying to navigate the map or hit the survivors.
It is disheartening that BHV, known for producing games like Bugs Bunny Lost in Time in the past that made a good impression at the time, is unable to run DBD on ps4 following minimum standards.
I am a patient person ... but if they are trying to solve the Frame problems on ps5 instead of ps4 after their promises, I'm sorry but I don't spend any money on it again to get better performance

That’s like saying “imagine if my car salesman would divert their time to redoing my plumbing in my house”. Two different things. You could maybe argue diverting funds from cosmetic design to hiring people to work on optimization

pretty sure all console players would be able to P3 all survivors and killers, and max out all perks on everyone if we were compensated via BP (that’d be the bare minimum level of compensation imo)

Probably as the framerate issues have not been addressed for years hence why every patch degrades performance even more.

Even if they have different teams working on these different things, I think it's a matter of poor prioritization and resource management.

It's baffling that the issue has gone on as long as it has. Framerate drops when you gain bloodlust, play certain killers, play certain maps, or mist offerings to the point where it's headache inducing. How much worse is it going to get before something is done about it? Can we at least get an official response? Honestly, if there is no chance for optimization, can we at least know about it so we don't hold false hope that the game will be fixed?

I don't think they'll say they won't optimize console because if they did they could lose portion of console player base. Also doubt it will actually be improved for next gen, they're not saying anything because they hope people will buy on next gen since people are already assuming it will improve. I keep seeing "they're not going to optimize with next gen coming" but the silence from them makes me think it won't be and they don't want to discourage people from getting it on next gen.
