A Buff For Solo Queue Survivor
A really simple way to buff solo queue survivor without being overpowered is let survivors see what their teammates are bringing for their loadout.
Survive with friend groups get the same information, so it's not really any more advantageous than playing with a group.

I'm not against this at all

they just need to get the mmr out already, its the skill of your teammates in most matches that is the brunt of the setback.

We already have that on mobile it's really useful knowing which teammate should go for the save with BT. Or which you can save knowing they have DS or which you can leave since they have UB. Or which will heal you with Botany or We'll make it.

Honestly, I don't know if MMR will fix anything in regards to solo queue.

this will be a big buff to swfs, i think buff where u can see ur team mates when somebody is on the hook is good without seeing the killer aura, unless using kindred.

it should! In theory you'll perform worse in solo queue, have a lower skill rating because of it, and you'll be matched up against weaker killers.

This is no different from playing SWF already, I can tell my friends I'm running a healer build so I'll find them and heal them, or my friend telling me she's running a breakout build. etc.,

Right, but either way eventually you'll plateau out on your MMR and run into the same issues with solo queue.

I agree, this is kind of needed. Solo survivor is so bad at the moment I don't even play survivor anymore unless I'm with a group of friends.
Make Kindred base kit or at least give us the ability to see each other's perks in the lobby and that would significantly improve the solo survivor experience. It seems like they don't really care enough though because they haven't done much about it. 🤷

Why would you run into the same issues, though? You should be a better player than the people you're getting matched with because your MMR was set while you were at a disadvantage from being in solo queue. The weaker players you get matched with should balance out the disadvantages from playing in solo queue.

Better survivors doesn't mean they automatically understand what you're running or what you're trying to accomplish in a game, it's a rank not ESP.

I'm not sure what your point is. Are you worried that your MMR will stabilize and then you'll be screwed if you want to run a weaker perk build than usual and bring a weaker item than usual, or something? If MMR gets us to the point where are biggest problem is that we might lose if we try to meme instead of running meta perks, for example, then that's honestly an excellent state for the game to be in. That'd be way better than the current system and it would give solo players a much better chance at having a good match.

The point my idea is to give people information who aren't on comms about what others are running, for example if someone's being camped you know the random Kate has BT when the others don't, so you should let her save.
And no, I generally run meme perks and builds a lot without having to worry about dying, it's dead by daylight not survive by memelight MMR being introduced won't affect me in that regard.
MMR also won't be a fix-all just like dedicated servers aren't.

I like your idea! I'm just responding to your comment about MMR not making a difference for solo queue. I agree that MMR won't be a panacea, but if the system is good I do think it'll make life way better for solo queue players.
The brief period when MMR was live a few months ago was easily the best time I've had playing solo in this game. The killers I was getting matched with were all over the place, like some baby killers, and some very good killers. It felt more or less random. That said, though, my teammates were consistently excellent. It was a blast playing with teammates I could actually count on for a bit! I'm optimistic that that'll happen again once MMR comes back.

MMR felt extremely random for both sides to me. I had different levels of varying skill where we'd realize someone was a baby.

Ah yeah, that's no good. Hopefully it comes back better!
