@VolantConch1719 , keep up the good work!

I know it's a day early (for me anyway, don't know about anyone else), but I honestly don't know when, or even IF, I'd be able to update this with Blight's actual release. I have too much work to do tomorrow and I like to get these done in a timely manner.
Same goes for Wraith's Archive when it's released in full. It might be severely delayed depending on how much I need to do.

I'm thinking right now. Is there a chance Sally and Evan's stories are linked? Could Sally's husband have been working in the MacMillan mine or is there evidence against it?
0 -
Sally's husband was lumberjack, not a miner.
0 -
was he? i must have managed to miss that then. thanks

I originally wanted to get Algebra of Infinite Night and Philip's final placement out yesterday, but there was no way I was getting it done with 1100 ping.
Sorry for this update being so delayed, but it's here now.

we might be able to pinpoint philip earlier than 1980s:
1 -
Oh my gosh, thank you. I searched up "Nigerian killing crews" and came back with nothing, but this perfectly places his archive.
It won't have too much effect on his final placement, but it will bump it up.

With the MacMillan map reworks, there seem to be screens/monitors in one of the maps. Do you think this means Trapper is from a later time period, or the version of the map we're seeing is from a later point in time?
0 -
It's possible his final placement might change a bit (which is admittedly shaky where it is, due to his age being impossible to decipher). The first monitors like them were invented around 1950ish.
As the maps are taken from the minds of the characters, it's possible that Evan was taken a decade later than I originally thought, or there could (unlikely) be another Killer on the MacMillan Estate that we'll never see, hunting in the realms.

Nice work, this was very well done. Just so you know Heathers bio (You can't make me call her Cheryl) states she was taken 3 months after SH3, so her place is confirmed to be 2003-2004.
0 -
alternatively, the entity puts maps together from memories of various characters, survivors and killers alike. Like, we had the discussion about where Glenvale is, and I maintain the point that the 'real' one was in nebraska, but the entity put it into an arizona like desert, because it's more desolate.
Likewise the MacMillan estate could be thrown together from evan's emories and that of others, even earlier victims of the entity.

I will never understand why Harry named her Cheryl when the 7 year old Cheryl from SH1, for all intents and purposes, died.
Him expecting the reborn Cheryl to be the exact Cheryl he found on the side of the road with his wife is dumb. Reborn Cheryl would have different life experiences even just from the 7 year difference in the world around them, not to mention reborn Cheryl was raised having to hide from the cult.
It's like he was trying to use reborn Cheryl as a straight up replacement for the first one instead of letting her be her own person.
0 -
He didn't name her cheryl he named her Heather, Cheryl is the one who changed her name after sh3.
0 -
No he didn't, she literally says in the last line of dialogue in SH3 "Cheryl, the name my dad gave me."
0 -
Since Heather regained her memories from Alessa in sh3 it would make sense if she remenbered her life as Cheryl as well, so i always interpreted this scene as her way to honor the first name that Harry gave to her.

I spent a couple of hours getting Doors Unknown done, so here it is.

According to leaks by daylight (while this isn’t 100% confirmed they’re almost always right) Oni and Nurse will be in Tome VI, so that might help a bit. Oni could still be uncertain, but I’m sure Nurse will be pinpointed closer

So I just found something interesting about Talbot Grimes. It’s a decently well-known fact that each blighted killer has a tag on them. These tags have a symbol followed by 4 numbers. Well, on Plague’s tag, there’s a symbol that no other characters share. Posting a post on Reddit, I asked what it meant. I was told that it was the alchemical symbol for Borax. Here’s the thing though: it wasn’t used, as far as I know, until 1928. So how would he have known about it?
0 -
I can think of a few possibilities.
This could simply be a case of the devs being anachronistic (which they are no stranger to, as they called Huntress's home "Red Forest," but it only gained that name after the Chernobyl Incident, well after either World War).
It's also possible that they didn't realize this and just put it in as a cool design, especially since Talbot wasn't fully fleshed out then, so his time period was still up in the air.
From a lorewise perspective, time isn't fluid in the Entity's realm, so he could have possibly learned it from another Survivor and put it on the tag afterwards.

Ghostface hes been in California,Philidelphia, & Utah based off from his Add-Ons.
0 -
I would like to offer another possibility, which is that Talbot invented/discovered it in his quest for knowledge, but his findings were lost to time until 1928
0 -
Just want to say thanks for all the time/research put into this. :)
0 -
Well, twins are 1600s. That was pretty easy. Now we just need to narrow it down...
0 -
I think I've found something that can narrow down when their mother was killed, but I have a feeling this is going to be similar to Kazan where it's very vague.
I'll put things together when they come out, since I should have time to work on this then. Maybe something in their skins will give some idea of their time.

Hopefully

Can I pick your brain and ask what you think you’ve found?

A law was passed in 1624 that required witch hunts to be confirmed by the French Parliament, and witch hunts stopped being confirmed in Northern France in 1625, and Élodie is looking for Madeleine's skull in the Parisian catacombs (Northern France) from news reports from this time. It would make sense that the confirmed hunts would be reported in the newspapers for obvious reasons.
Finicky, I know, but it's something to keep in mind.
0 -
Ooh, interesting. Looked it up, seems as though most courts ignored this ruling though. An excerpt here reads “However, it is known that local courts ignored the recommendations of the Parliament of Paris, and those local witchcraft sentences which were never reported or appealed to Paris, is unknown or unconfirmed.“ interestingly, it notes that the last woman to be killed for witchcraft was in 1678, so that shaves 22 years off. Assuming they were born right as the 16th century hit, it would’ve been at least 1605 when Madeleine was killed. Considering they feared with hunters her whole life, she had to have been taken before the law was passed, so I’d say 1618-1625 is when she was taken.

Like I said, finicky.

I know, just spitting my thoughts. Fun to think about though

On the reworked map Ironworks of Misery you can find this calendar on the top floor of the main building:
There are a few loose ends, but perhaps Evan was taken by the Entity in January of 1972? I think Benedict Baker's journals were written in the 1950's, but if Evan was taken in 1972 then another mass murder could have taken place.
0 -
This actually matches up pretty well. By 1972, Evan's father would definitely be an old man that would require some caretakers (at least, in the older lore, since he isn't described as old now), and this would definitely match up with the monitors that were thrown into another map that someone pointed out.
Plus, I think they've completely abandoned Benedict Baker at this point. We haven't seen a mention of him since Clown, I think.
I will update this.

I have added the Twins. Unfortunately, their cosmetics gave me zero help, so I fell back on the finickyness six posts above this.
And don't worry, I will get to Hillbilly's archive sometime before Christmas. I just REALLY don't like playing him.

@VolantConch1719 Wiki have lore uploaded already, you can check it right now, if you want.

I mean, I could do that, but I actually want to earn the Archives rather than get them from an outside source.
It's just who I am. Sorry if this seems condescending.
1 -
The official dbd wiki, which is supported by the devs themselves, says that the hillbilly was taken to the entity’s realm in 1896.

*facepalm*

Benedict Baker is unable to keep track of his own time (starting his journal on September 12, 1956, but ending it in November of 1896). He is the literal LAST source I want to consult for timeline purposes.

His new lore "A man named boy" (I loved the story, by the way) mentions two TV series that Billy/Max liked to watch on TV: Adventures of Superman (which aired from 1952 to 1958) and Leave It to Beaver (which aired from 1957 to 1963). So his childhood and adolescence had to happen between the 1950s and early 1960s.

In the reworked Blood Lodge map you can find a calendar dating to what looks to be January 1920, which is...strange to say the least. Perhaps the map designers had an oversight, or I misread the date. Or perhaps the calendar doesn't relate to The Wraith's timeline.
1 -
This seems more like an oversight than anything else. The sheer amount of evidence for Philip's placement far overrides this.
Azarov, or someone he used to work with, probably kept the calendar around for whatever reason.
1 -
is that actually a 2 or a 7?
0 -
I finally did it. A Man Named Boy is finally done. Sorry it took so long
It looks much more like a 2 to me, especially given the darker line at the bottom of the faded shape.

OP deserves an upvote for the level of effort put into this alone.

Damn man, I'm still impressed you can pull this ######### off

Unrelated to the post, but am I the only one that's kinda tired with old timey killers? every original killer released since plague was alive at least a couple centuries in the past, we haven't had a "modern" killer since the legion. Idk if anyone else has noticed this or really cares but I just hope that they release a killer that is clearly from modern times.

We still have much to explore with Talbot's lore, and I hope that it includes more information on his "transformations". He turns into the True Blight as we've seen, but then he reverts due to the fact that he looks nothing like the default appearance?
The trailer cinematic shows that he's heavily withdrawn on the serum, with a much raggedy cloak than what he wears in the archive cinematics. Some lore with add-ons, mainly the Eternal Blight Event Add-on: Blight Serum, implies that the transformation in the trailer cinematic is permanent as opposed to what is vaguely said about Talbot having transformed several times temporarily prior to the creation of his final iteration of the serum, Compound 34. While I'm certain we should expect more of Tablot lore before the change, I hope we finally get clarification if every transformation was truly temporary, including his "final/permanent" transformation.
I know this isn't exactly in relevance to OP's timeline, but this is merely expansion on what needs to be known about the character.

I think this is a new record for me. Getting Nurse's archive completed on the day it's ending released. I think even Blight was delayed by a day or two.
Also did some slight adjustments to Clown's early lore, since it was heavily reliant on Nurse's somewhat uncertain placement.
