There should be a killer blacklist for Matchmaking
Now that the killer can't switch character, once he's searching for a match, We could make lobbies Killer related. As soon as a killer enters the lobby, the game marks the lobby as [killer]. For example, I play the trapper. I get into a lobby, and now this lobby is marked as "Trapper". Survivors can blacklist killers they don't want to play against and won't get into these lobbies. If survivors join the lobby, but the killer leaves, the lobby stays marked as the killer that joined before, so another trapper in this example can join.
While I know that this would make loading even longer, because you also have to wait for a killer to actually play Blight for example, it would still make the game more fun, if you don't play against 10 trappers in one day. Also you can always leave the blacklist empty

This would never work, to many survivors would just ban out all the top tier killers or organize for the highest chance of getting a noob opponent, which is already a serious issue for killers,

So Spirit, Nurse, Pyramid Head, Freddy, Bubba, Twins, Legion, and Slinger mains would be forced to play different killers? Because I know survivors hate going against them. This means that these killers would become "dead" or unplayable because their queue times would be so long since nobody wants to play against them.

It would, if you can only ban each killer twice then you have to play against him again twice before you can ban him again

There's no way to make this work. I wanted to see the usernames of who is playing killer to avoid toxic players but then it opens up the possibility of survivors knowing the killer and then you'd have a Friday the 13th situation on your hands where unskilled players team with the killer.

Then what about knowing who the killer is in the lobby to decide if you want to play against him? But then your perks are locked, you you have to decide carefully

This...has so many flaws and holes in it. Would never happen, sorry.

Blacklisting players or killers would never work. This game is asymmetrical and sometimes you'll just have to deal facing people or killers you don't want to face.

Not to mention how often you can run items/perks that counter specific killers. Is there a plague? No healing perks, taking Deadhard and Resilience.
Playing Ghostface or Pig? Spinechill.
Nurse/Spirit? Stealth perks.

By this logic I should be able to ban anyone running perks I don't like.
Object of Obsession? Banned.
Balanced Landing? Banned.
Self-Care? Banned.
You can keep your Decisive Strike. Cause I'm fair like that.

Take out bubba and legion. Also ask yourself why survivors dont want to go against them. All of those killers effectively cancel chases which is fun and the only other option to gen sim.

why self care tho? 32 seconds wasted not on gen. Please run it in my games uwu

Could be running a killer who has trouble hitting multiple times per chase or something and prefers everyone stay wounded,

I run Killers that want you injured and it annoys me. My ban my rules!

It's a better idea to tweak those killers, not to give survivors the option to never play against them

Thats what I'm getting at. But the deva keep digging a deeper hole and forgetting that survivors dont want gen sim and add these dumb killers.
0 -
Well long chases are bad for killers you do understand that right? Gen sim isn't fun for survivors but short games and long chases aren't fun for killers and if the devs aren't going to increase gen times people are going to do the next best thing which is pick killers that excel at chases
0 -
The killer can leave the chase if it's too long. Just dont cancel out the chase completely. Also if the chase is long it's the survivor outplaying them. Increasing gen time will kill the survivor playerbase all I'm getting from you is that you only care if the killers have fun.

Nope, all I want is the Survivors not finishing 5 Gens in about 3 minutes. in 2,5k hours in game, I found that the rounds that took 10 to 20 minutes were the best

Leaving the chase means you aren't pressuring anyone and that survivor is free to do gens drop the chase 3 gens pop or at least 2 gens and no hooks
0 -
10 to 15 minute games are enjoyable 20 is pushing the limits. All gens done in 3 minutes is sooo unlikely for pubs stop exaggerating.
0 -
Its necessary to leave a losing chase the fact that you think you should commit to a chase the survivors are winning shows your inexperience. 3 gens wont pop at the start if you arent dumb.

Add Doctor to the list.
Incidentally there used to be an exploit/cheat of sorts that let survivor's view who the killer was (and even who they were playing as) in the pre-game lobby. Of course this was abused quite a bit. (Doctor? Calm Spirit. Spirit? Iron Will and Lightweight. Trapper? Small Game and Slippery Meat. Wraith? Spine Chill and Flashlight.)
EDIT: I wouldn't mind if it was something like the Killer could turn a setting on and in the lobby it says 3 different killers, one of which being the real one. I.E. if it's Doctor it'll say "Legion, Doctor, Shape" or "Doctor, Pig, Hillbilly" So there's a vague clue who it might be but there's still ambiguity.
Either it would be completely randomly generated or as a 3-killer "preset". Like Legion, Doctor, and Shape would always display as such. Ideally the 3 killers in each "preset" would be as far apart as possible gameplay wise (no "Wraith, Ghostface, Shape" (stealth killers) or "Trapper, Hag, Freddy" (killers who set traps)) so you can't tailor a general anti-stealth killer loadout or something.

The exploit happened to be in the DeadByDaylight.log, where every killer had a number assigned. You could quite easily read the number, and display the corresponding Killer as you wanted. But now the logs are encrypted so this would be no problem. On the Cheating side, there will always be a way for users to cheat, most commonly altering your RAM to make the game think you actually have 10k Iridescent Shards or what you want. It would be way too much work to check if it really was possible for you to get whatever you cheated in a certain time, cause there are thousands of players and the servers wouldn't do that
