Why is Freddy still not nerfed
First things first I can't be asked to deal with toxic people today so if you have a toxic reply just move on and leave us people trying to have a good time alone
OK now that's out of the way Freddy is by far the WORST killer to go up against and I'll explain why
1. His power to teleport easy to dodge however it can still be faked
2. He also has dream pallets and snares to slow us down that's just adding insult to injury on maps like Lerys and Game
3. He's got the highest kill ratio on the results list which easily beat spirit it towered over her which says that spirit is way more balanced than Freddy
4. Can you even outrun Freddy I mean even without his snares he is difficult to outrun but at least possible but with snares you instantly get caught after vaults and drops
5. Sleep timer a nice little mechanic but should work like pigs and only have 4 spread across the map so I don't have to waste half a match traveling to wake myself
If anyone has any ideas to help balance Freddy let's put them out there because in his current state I just suicide as soon as the clock appears along with two others in my match
And to all you Freddy mains who wanna cry about this post stop playing a pay to win killer and actually learn to play a killer who requires skill

Y'know how some killers, like Pig and Demo, have a little bit of some things?
Freddy's problem is that he's got a lot of everything and every gen is a 3 gen.
Unless you decide to spend like half the game waking up, you predrop every pallet and crouch behind a tree whenever you see blood spurting from your gen, feverishly praying he's not thorough while he looks around.
Which is to say, it's super boring.
It'd be better if they made waking up actually something worth trying to do.

As easy as is to play Freddy, still takes more skill than to play survivor.
And Freddy isn't even that good if survivors know how to loop

I think the teleport and passive sleep timer are the two mains things that need to go. As oppressive as he is in chase, he doesn't need map wide pressure as well. Survivors should only 'sleep' after he hits you, not just get his power for existing...every other Killer has to DO something to obtain their power

That's why you just have to predrop. He's like clown, if he could teleport and uncoil his arms like goddamn springs.

Yes, don't tunnel the survivor that got out of the hook and it's doing a gen in front of the killer. Seems legit

You realize that 90% of killers power is anti loop ? Trap, hatchet, tp, jump over, hookspear, vomit, shred, etc... Mindgame being the very best of all.
And his tp is what make him VIABLE not op, mobility killers is mandatory vs high rank, sfw or not cause you will be genrushed for sure, ruin or not, pressure or not, 3 game on 4 cause TIME TO MAKE A GEN IS TOO LOW.
You need 80s to make a GEN without items, Freddy tp native is a 60s CD, meaning that when he tp and chase 1 surv, 3 surv have the time to do 80% of 3 gens if theyre not dumb (2 gens if the chase end quickly and 1 have to go save) before he can tp again.
I only play Freddy for daylis.
My main killers are Clown, Wraith, Myers, Plague, Legion and Blight, and i know that when i play the first 4, i will suffer unless MM decide to put me against boosted surv or beginners but idc, i play for the thrill of the chase.
Lol, yeah at high rank, DS is Just a free 60s i can do what i want, gens or protect another surv, THEY WANT to be tunneled cause it make KILLERS loose time and this game is all about time management for killers.

The problem with it is what do you do when the person with ds starts working on a gen in front of you and jumps in a locker when you try to chase them off the gen.

He's not that hard to go against, unless you're inexperienced. Just don't go screaming to have him nerfed into the ground. He shouldn't be made weak against because survivors refuse to adapt.

The original Freddy design, the one that lasted week at the end of September 2017 was fine the way he was. Streamers and casual players complained nonstop instead of learning how to counter created this mess.

Again it's on a timer should of just left her alone on floor to be safe she must have had about 2 seconds to use it left unlucky happens to the best of us but the biggest problem is his perks what a waste

Hatchet, hookspear, vomit and shred don't actually do anything until you hit them and require line of sight, and a smart survivor is going to have something between you and them the entire time-- they can cut loops short, but if you think a huntress slowly waltzing around even a small loop with her hatchet ready is comparable to a dream snare then you're gonna have a hard time explaining the several dozen Ring Around the Rosie medals i've handed out to huntresses.
Traps and TPs require stopping, looking down, and taking the second or two to actually set the trap which gives the survivor ample time to just piss off. The great thing about Freddy's snare is that he doesn't have to stop, and doesn't even have to look away while also guaranteeing continued use of the loop is death. Soft anti-loop up there, hard anti-loop down here.
And if you think there's ever any situation Freddy's going to have to wait out the full 60 seconds of his cooldown, he's actually got this weird mechanic called "the dream world".

Cause they don't know how yet for the keys and cause they don't know how to deal with camping/tunneling so they keep DS as it is. I can give u million ways to nerf Freddy without even changing anything that much. He needs adjustments that I can't even say its nerfing. For example it is just stupid he can spam his traps like that while ... hes moving. It is also strange how he puts u in dream world by default in 60 seconds but the wake up time gets longer every time for some very unknown reason cause ? I mean that could be a really good addon I think but base ...There are so many small things for freddy that can be just adjusted and it will feel way more ... normal
And to answer the question in the topic why ! If you haven't noticed by now devs include the really good perks and killers in paid only DLCs. You wont see the good perks in the shrine any time soon and these killers won't get touched as long as they can hold the line /aka how loud people are on the forums about them being op /

Freddy is easy to play and that is why he have high killrate in any rank. Spirit have lower because she takes time to master fully. Same with Nurse both Nurse and Spirit is stronger than Freddy.
If you get better at the game no killer will be a problem for you. When you are screaming for nerfs something is wrong.

Most people say the killer is tunneling when they just didn't feel like they wanna go down right now. I even heard people say tunneler to a killer that just commited to a chase. Or someone saying the old Legion achievement before rework (hit a survivor with frenzy, hit another survivor with frenzy and down the first survivor within the same frenzy) would require tunneling.
This discussion with so many people about which perks are fine and which are OP and all the short sighted argumentation really exhausts me. I became massively less active on this forum because 80% of the threads are exactly that.
Regarding the title, this thread was answered with the first two posts. What happened after that? Exactly...

If you are playing Freddy you have a reliable timer to know exactly when their DS runs out. If they are asleep and you haven't hit them off hook they are fair game. After all, can't be tunnelling if you never get DS'ed right?
