Object of Obsession (Relax... I know it's not getting reworked or removed...)

If you want to say that OoO is not strong or annoying, don't waste your time and watch this https://youtu.be/jD2Dk3kPD3s

As much as I dislike the perk and it's effect on game I have to admit that design wise it's pretty cool concept, especially when putting all Laurie's perks together - and because of this I don't think it will ever get reworked (watch Scott's video I put link to, he explains devs way of thinking).

What I would like to see however, is small nerf, as object is giving information even when it shouldn't, at least in my opinion. When OoO activates, you and killer both see each others auras. If killer is undetectable, survivor doesn't see him, but killer does see survivor for as long as he is looking in the direction of killer and is within range... which is fair considering how broken OoO is against non-stealth killers. Stealthy killers should be stealthy and if you literally are object of their obsession... You get the idea?

What is broken here is fact that perk lights up when it activates... so even though survivor doesn't see the killer, he does know that killer sees him and is withing range (and effectively the direction at which the killer is, there is other perk for that - called premonition!). This little bit right here is bad design. If survivor running OoO wants this information, they should run Spine Chill... Which is god tier on it's own anyway.

Spine Chill does destroy stealth killers and OoO shouldn't now.

Please, make perk not light up when it activates... It would indirectly buff spine chill and especially premonition.

Also, please remove notification of being under oblivious status effect... Oblivious means oblivious, not aware!

I don't think OoO needs this nerf. The range is basically the whole map, so knowing where the killer is withing a 90 degree cone doesn't seem very strong at all. And the problem with it is how it interacts with SWF coms, letting the entire team know basically exactly where the killer is and where they're going, which this also reduces.

Also, I don't think they should remove the oblivious status effect icon, because otherwise survivors need to know before the match what causes oblivious or it will be very disorienting and likely often mistaken for bugs or hacking.

@Endorb You are joking, right? You want to tell me, that being able to tell from which side Ghostface, Myers, Pig... or any killer that somehows became undetectable, is coming for you isn't strong at all?

All I am going to say is that there was Huntress win rate increase when her lullaby stopped being directional.

Back to OoO, it's swf interaction is obnoxious and everyone knows that, but I don't believe devs will ever adress it. I'm being realistic with my pleads. Besides, there are actually perks meant to do just this - spine chill and premonition.

I also do not agree with your oblivious argument one bit. The very point of not hearing terror radius is to make killer able to sneak up on survivor... Tell me, did you even jumped when you knew that person wanted to scare you right at this moment?

It would be exactly like killer got notification when survivor is using distortion. Hanging someone and see only 2 people with bbq... but there is notification that someone had distortion... so even though you don't see 3 people with bbq you know that there is noone near the hook. No one would ever again use distortion outside for intentionally bad builds.

I really am against any kind of notifications in this game, but the oblivious one just make no sense what so ever. If you know that you are oblivious, you are not oblivious. Maybe except notifying teammates about Vigil, Streetwise, Leader, Proove thyself and We'll make it - those are good.
