Anti FaceCamp

We all know that facecamping is toxic to the community as a whole, so I would like to see some measure to discourage it. If there's more than 1 gen remaining in the map, if the killer stays within x amount of meters from the hook, the hook timer is paused.

That way, facecamping can happen during the EGC so killers can try to get a kill (which Im fine with) and discourages facecamping which in turns depips red ranks survs.

Can there be a week of not a "big brain" posting a simple solution that was already tried and failed?

They tried implementing this in the PTB, the change was: If the Killer was nearby too much around the hook, it would pause or something like that, so Survivors abused that and keep staying around the hook.

I see some people don't see these problems, either because they don't play Killer or are just ignorant. Survivors tend to rush to hooks for unsafe rescues, of course the Killer won't allow a free rescue in their face, mainly if there's more than 2 survivor close to the hook, it's a perfect strategy to defend the hook, and in this situations, where the Killer is forced to protected the hook a.k.a "camp", he would be punished with your "anti camping" idea.

It could be that the hook timer resumes when the killer actively enters a chase or if he spends too much time near the hook.

Even if the surv keeps the killer near the hook, wouldnt it be a dangerous rescue since the killer is near the hook? (If the hook timer pauses when the killer is no farther than 10 meters from the hook?)

The survivor that isn't on the hook would loop around the survivor that is while the other 2 do gens. It is definitely abuseable & I don't know if this would be a good idea.

Like you said, ONLY if the killer is not in a chase should the survivor timer be paused.

A simple and easy solution to face camping is that the timer doesn’t go down until the killer is 32 meters away from the hooked survivor, and the timer will stop degressing if the killer has been in that radius for 10-15 seconds. The perk insidious should be nerfed so that it doesn’t activate within a certain range from the hook after a certain period of time as well. If survivors were to loop the killer within that radius while someone is on the hook, it should go down though.
