Hot Take: 360's are not necessary. They are a stupid gimmick.
@ me. The new update essentially brought us back to square one before 4.5.0 because most of you are so friggin whiny. I actually enjoyed some of the new animations and didn't want anymore twitchy, unnatural survivor movement to drop frames and screw hits that should land. I'm not talking about Dsync that was awful. But now I don't even feel a difference with the movement at all. You might as well uproot and remove all the other things. I was hoping this would force survivors to learn how to use pallets and loop rather than going stealth the entire game, or being so upset that they got caught within the first minute of the game just so they can DC on hook. BHVR can't even even make a change let alone go in a direction they want because this forum can't accept change without providing good feedback. Like we can't keep the animations and have to sacrifice them for better turning transition? If that's the case then screw 360's, they're not natural. Killer was enjoyable but now we're back to instant killer queues and long survivor queues. 2 steps forward, 5 steps back. This is incredible.

Finally, someone who does understand the true meaning of the game.

@Jarol i know im not alone, but together we can flourish this evil!

Sounds like u all got a bit too comfortable with Killer being free wins for 2 weeks while Survivors had to deal with desync and awkward/clunky movement during that time. So much that you all can't even handle the slightest bit of challenge now (actually, challenge is an overstatement even) which is simply paying a little bit attention when you're about to swing and being patient.
How this became such a hot topic now is beyond me, the counterplay to it is laughably easy. They're not even reliable in a chase and are used as a last resort and generally just because it's fun to attempt, even if it gets you killed mostly. Same with moonwalking. It's all just fun stuff and there's no reason to take it away and if you genuinely have trouble in chase against any of these i don't know what to tell you except get better at the game, really.
The movement before this patch was such a hindrance and mostly got you killed at loops. If it's a super unsafe loop on top of it, good luck.
BHVR made a great decision listening to their veteran players this time. It's nice to see that movement feels great again.

Longer survivor queues and faster killer queues are most likely due to fixed DeSync bug.Not because of 360s being back lol
16 -
@Mert_MK You obviously didn't read my post. I clearly said Dsync was awful. I'm talking about all of the whiners who forced the devs to revert any changes because your ability to flick your mouse in a circle that you spent so much precious time learning to do was taken away forcing you to learn how to actually play pallets.
5 -
Point still stands, countering 360's is laughably easy like i said. You make it sound like 360'ing is so OP and works all the time and that Survivors aren't in need of pallets and vaults at all with it existing.
6 -
@OniWantsUrLocation Right. But people are clamoring and rejoicing to bring back awful twitchy survivor movement and exploits. 360's are counter-able, yes. Should they be a skill or tactic for survivors to use, no. The matchmaking is already awful, I don't remember the last time a survivor ran a jungle gym or pallet with me. They either try to juke out in the open rather to running to a safe pallet or they DC on hook because they got caught immediately. These are players who bring prestige skins too, so although prestige is not a symbol of skill or time investment, they should have some idea how to play survivor.
9 -
@Mert_MK yeah it is easy to counter but is it wrong to ask for survivor movement to not be twitchy, exploitable and unnatural ?
9 -
anybody who claims to like the original survivor movement changes doesn't regularly play survivor. nice try though.
i don't even care about 360's. most survivors don't. it hardly ever works in red ranks and is usually used as a last ditch effort to not get hit when caught in a pinch. it was more about not being able to quickly change directions. it made playing at pallets awful. it made playing against deathslinger, huntress, phead, etc, awful. the game could look like ######### roblox for all i care as long as the movement feels good. on a list of reasons why i play this game, it looking realistic is on the absolute bottom of the list.
8 -
We don't like them BECAUSE they're a stupid gimmick.
13 -
@chadbeastofprey the killers you listed with maybe the exception of huntress are somewhat oppressive killers, those are their problems. Most people DC against them within the first 2 minutes. You forgot freddy as well. Anybody who plays killer who claims to like the original survivor movement before the changes doesn't play killer (Dsync not included). Nice try though.
1 -
Get off this high horse that survivors couldn't win with bad hitboxes. They had the same chances of winning as long as they weren't greedy af at every pallet and window like they usually were.
10 -
When I go for 360s as survivor, it succeeds about half the time, and this is in red ranks.
2 -
dude people say this all the time but it didn't change at all I didn't win more or lose more during this whole update and I only played killer.
3 -
@danielmaster87 thank you, someone with some truth in this cold, cruel world. lmfao 😂😂

@panernaners Right!

Hot take let’s stop complaining about every little thing in the game we don’t like. They destroyed survivor movement in that last patch and you know it. Just admitting to getting easier hits says everything about your post. I got an idea why don’t they just take all survivor perks completely out of the game, next make it so survivors no longer can run but just walk at all times, then maybe they could also make it where everyone dies in one hit and one hook. How’s that? Even then y’all salty baby killers would still find something to complain about. Complaining about 360’s LMFAO 🤪
10 -
In the end you're still asking for the removal of something that's extremely unreliable anyway.
Still put them at quite the disadvantage overall.
5 -
@TattooJake Hot take I didn't get easier hits because movements were jank, i got easier hits because of Dsync. You quote the post but i still think you didn't read it! I play survivor too it was awful! But it would be nice for survivors to learn to use pallets rather than complaining about not being able to flick their mouse in a spinny circle again! are you happy you can flick your mouse in the spinny circle again and not direct focus on accepting change? KEKW 🤣
2 -
Sad truth is these killers you went against were absolute garbage and can't figure out the counter to something that simple.
5 -
I think you tagged the wrong person lol
I mean,i agree that the removal of super twitchy survivor movement was very nice as killer but i feel like it's a needed gimmick in the game, because it's one of the few fun things survivors can do and it raises their skill ceiling a bit.
Not really sure what awful matchmaking has to do with 360s though.
1 -
it doesn't matter if they're oppressive or not? and you don't dodge freddy's power like how you dodge the listed killers' powers??? you're not too bright. :/
3 -
@chadbeastofprey ................... it doesn't matter if killers are oppressive or not? What? Yeah, ok. You want to talk about about bright but I'll pass on whatever you're smoking.

not the full spins, but the ability to fake direction and make snap turns in some spots really does make the difference once in a while and it felt pretty awful having that changed coupled with the awful 5 dollar foot longs. If the hits weren't messed up, I would have gotten used to the new movement. But the bad hits just made it so that if the movement stayed the same, even after the hits were fixed, I would never have been able to play this game again because it would just killed any potential dopamine from it. They're gonna need to wait a month or two before screwing with the movement too much again unless survivor queues are back to 10 to 20 minutes now? in which case losing a bunch isn'tg onna hurt I reckon I unno.
1 -
@jdcabral Ok and? People lost their mind because they had to relearn the feel for the game, no one likes change. I agree with you that survivor gameplay is dull. But I think that's because there is little to no depth or mechanics for survivor and the more experienced players. But 360's is not an intended in-game mechanic or feature. It's just an exploit from horrendous and wonky movement. If more survivors learned how to be efficient and if matchmaking were ideally good then solo queue would so much fun. But I see on here that instead of accepting change they complained as if that their only option of surviving was to spin their mouse or camera wheel was taken away, rather than learning to use a pallet. The movement can be improved upon, but because so many people are so appalled to change, it's like the initial changes are being reverted. Which means all that time and resources that were used are wasted when they could have been put towards something else, like, adding more and better in-game mechanics and depth for survivor maybe?
3 -
This change has reverted bad survivors back to a really bad tactic. Now instead of learning a productive method against killers it's just a bunch of people dropping instantly. The animations might not have looked great but it was a good change for improvement of skill.
5 -
I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or just really that much of a baby. The vast majority hated the animations. There's like 7 of you whining about 360's.
6 -
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU 3000! Oh my god. Finally, you get it.
4 -
@thrawn3054 I take it you like exploitable and twitchy movement and can't stand change and improvements to the fidelity of the game?
2 -
is something else there that u can potentially use and it works at times against average/bad killers and especially console killers , so is something else you can try if u have no other thing to get soem extra seconds or even a pallet or window... so it should be back.-
0 -
it may be worthless against normal killers but nurse gets screwed over by it hard.
0 -
First, it's not an exploit. If it was, they'd have patched it out.
Second those animations were in no way an improvement.
7 -
360's are not an intended game mechanic. Some are but most could have be improved upon.
1 -
I also dislike 360s. To me, it feels like a way to cheese your way through a chase instead of using the environment. And I was generally fine with the new animations. Some of them look silly, but this is kind of a silly game.
5 -
Just stop in place when they start swerving wait .5 seconds step forward and quick attack...
Killer is grossly underpowered and the queues prove it. But 360s are not why. With the other animation gave us killers much larger hitboxes to target, that's why it feels bad now.
0 -
Is not a hot take. PC players realized this years ago.
0 -
uh oh someone got spun and is upset
4 -
Or it's because 360s are just that overpowered. You have to expect it. You don't just assume they're gonna 360 if they haven't done it once yet. It's funny. That's how most OP survivor things are: half their power lies in the killer not knowing you have it.
1 -
I'm sorry but 360s are anything but OP
7 -
LOL in this topic you can tell who the console players are. They're all complaining about 360s.
2 -
what's funny is that guy thought the jankiness would make survivors NOT go super stealth. good chid. that makes me wonder whether or not they're even being serious though. since the logical assumptionw ould be if they had trouble being chased, and mechanics got even worse, that they would figure out how to hide even better instead. that's what I planned to do if the whole 'killer placement' thing hadn't happened and I was still gonna have trouble in chases. I was just gonna start rolling fixate, start using spine chill again, and start playing more stealthy with maybe stakeout or something to push gens faster to make up for creeping around a little extra. I was considering urban evasion too,a nd testing if I could get fixate speed with it or not. If you can't beat em join em. the poor prick would never have seen me tilla tbag at a gate or the hatch if the combo had worked too
1 -
Not all of us >:(
3 -
Maybe you're just bad at doing them. I know I am, but that didn't stop me from spinning killers on numerous occasions.
0 -
It sure screws me up as Legion sometimes.
0 -
I mean, if we're talking natural, then killers shouldnt be able to hit or grab survivors who are halfway across a pallet, killers shouldnt be able to hook survivors with a full wiggle bar, killers shouldnt be able to appear on the wrong side of a pallet when they get stunned, killers shouldnt be able to remain uninjured.
360's have been a thing since the beginning and always should remain in the game. Removing them is like removing any turning as a killer while using an m1. If survs cannot possibly dodge an up close m1 through a 360, then why allow survivors to move at all when they are up close?
5 -
They are still not even close to being OP.
Good killers don't have any problems dealing with 360s.Not to the point that they would call them OP.
6 -
They are terrible and bad for the game but this is just evidence as to how far the company will go to appease whiny entitled survivors, scrapping months of animation work and downgrading their game to the PS2 era just so survivors can cheese the awful animation to be granted another second chance.
I’m surprised they didnt go the usual route of making it a perk
4 -
I played survivor the past 2 weeks and I had no issues, neither did a friend of mine. We were able to adapt pretty quickly and hold out well in a chase.
Perhaps people who struggled just needed to adapt and get good?
