I don't what having a fear of spiders has to do with this but I am not racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic. I have no problem with drag queens irl, I just think that having a dbd character who is a drag queen would just be out of place.
1 -
Actually being serious for a moment rocky horror could be pretty funny in the game. lol. I can't take dbd seriously, so something like that or willy's wonderland or fnaf I'm starting to think might be more interesting and entertaining than their poor attempts at being scary in their newer killers.

You know what, if the backstory was good, sure thing. I think it would fit nicely. What I don't like is this as a survivor:
0 -
Why? What's wrong with this? How is it so much worse than this? I argue both are perfectly fine in this world.
2 -
How old are you? To retaliate like that is just childish.
2 -
He's been pissing me off for over an hour. I would have sworn but mods...
0 -
LOL continuing that mature streak I see.
Seriously, what's wrong with a drag queen having a beard?
2 -
That is an outfit from a Mexican festival and I don't think it looks out of place.
1 -
Imagine how funny chasing somebody around lookin like that would be though on the one hand lol
1 -
NOTHING! NOTHING! IT JUST WOULD LOOK SILLY IN DBD.
1 -
Exactly my point as to why I don't want a drag queen survivor.

You know what, you have your closed minded opinions. Keep 'em. Hell, dig your heels in and make SURE you ingrain that opinion in your head. After all, now you have these pesky LGBT people actually pressing you on why it'd be out of place in DBD and you can't answer other than it just is.
I mean, this isn't out of place of course:
But a drag queen with a beard is.
hey man, it's cool. Dig your heels in. We get it. Cheers to you.
(also, I've done myself up with a glitter beard. So I take great offense to it - not that you give 2 fuuuus, but i'm just sayin').

dbd isn't a serious game though. there's already people running around dressed like santa's little helper, christmas presents, bunny rabbits hell even wearing their pajamas too I think out of some of the cosmetics. It would stand out among default costumes for sure, but, it probably wouldn't be the oddest compared to many of the cosmetics. you got people dressed like aristotle now in the game even. oktoberfest, mardis gras or whatever, all sorts of weird costumes already in the game. For some killers, it might lighten up the mood a bit chasing them around and getting some laughs out it. hell knows they need more opportunities to sweat a little less and relieve the tension sometimes in the game.
On Ash I often wore the hardware store shirt, with the shorts, wearing a muppet over the glove arm. the weirder costumes make the game more fun sometimes.

That's nothing compared to this
3 -
My god if they made this a skin for a killer, I'd buy it, day effing one.
Are you kidding me? I WOULD LOVE TO CHASE SURVIVORS IN A DRAG OUTFIT!
1 -
Alright as funny as that is, I wouldn't want to see you in dbd.
0 -
And that is your opinion
0 -
I think he means just have the drag queen design as a skin, not the default, the thing is the ridiculous outfits for others are all skins that need shards/auric cells, but if this character is a drag queen by default then yes it would be a little ridiculous, and if that sounds homophobic, then maybe I am and i never noticed.
2 -
Thank you, you absolute legend
2 -
please tell me that wasn't gorilla glitter
respects for showing face, especially to the players of this game lol
0 -
Yes. You know what my opinion translates to? Dollars.
1 -
The point he's probably trying to make is that wouldn't be satisfying for him since he wouldn't connect, I mean, I don't really play girl characters that often unless a challenge appears, not because I hate women because I do love women, but I also like playing character that I can connect with more like for me that's Jake and Ace as an example. Also I might be a little "homophobic" according to this thread, but it wouldn't it be better if the character's sexualities weren't specified but allowed fans to have their fiction, like I know Davida has tons of gay fanfiction but also allows straight people to enjoy him more without fully knowing he's gay, so everyone's happy, they have their own lore.

XD It was not gorilla glitter LOL
All anyone would have to do is google my username to find my pic LOL I don't hide. These kids can't say anything I haven't already heard before LOL
2 -
Your welcome,
Isn't Jane Mexican though? I think that would fit her culture like how Yui has a cultural outfit too, that's not just a costume, that's related to their belief in the dead (the day of the dead I think?), so no that's not the same thing, although I see what you were trying to go for.
1 -
Looking hella great! <3
3 -
He's not simply saying he wouldn't connect personally. He's saying it doesn't fit. There's a difference between "I don't really play girl characters" and "Girl characters don't fit in the game."
it wouldn't it be better if the character's sexualities weren't specified but allowed fans to have their fiction
We already have heterosexual relationships in this game's lore, so that's already a non-option.
4 -
These kids can't say anything I haven't already heard before LOL
Quantum tunneling on a macroscopic scale would be like saying that if you were to run into a wall a sufficient number of times, you'd eventually appear on the other side of it for no apparent reason.
How's that?
2 -
I thought that the picture was humorous. I hope that we can part ways on good terms, I assure you that I am very pro-LGBT whatever you may think and respect all of your opinions and thoughts expressed in our discussion.
1 -
I see this thread is quick to label everyone something negative for having a different opinion with "phobic" attached to it, we're all worried about leaving a better world for our children but what about better children for our world, it's way too sensitive right now, Butcher shouldn't have had to tip-toe his opinion here, he's not actively using slurs or wishing death on the LGBTQ community, because that's hate speech, but he just has a different opinion, so why are the rest of you so quick to label him?
2 -
Problematic opinions can exist without the need for blatant hate speech or death-wishing, no?
3 -
Fair, but then what's the excuse for David?
It's a man, wearing makeup. It isn't a drag queen of course, so I get the point, but ultimately, if your entire schtick is "I don't want to see makeup on men or wild makeup in game" (to be completely fair to him - @TheButcher6641 stated many times that he only feels this way about the game, NOT real life - I give him mad props for that. It shows, at least on paper, that he just wants his game to not be devolved into... drag queen-ness) then these things completely negate that. Most of the survs have wild costumes you can wear. WHICH IS AMAZING.
3 -
blush thank you!!
2 -
I'm sorry, who called him homophobic?
1 -
a survivor wears a costume that isn't very masculine. must be gay.
1 -
We're good man. You get props - you say you're only concerned with the game - so I take you at your word. I don't think you're a homophobe, my only statement is, I only hope that you see that sometimes, just sometimes, even drag queens with beards play, and yes, even they would like to see a little bit of themselves.
The LGBT community is and always has been very connected to horror - from Nightmare on Elm St 2 (Not "intentional" but still) to Dragula and before and after those. We just wanna see ourselves sometimes.
And I get it - you think it's out of place in the game. I do - I understand.
2 -
A) that hurt my brain to think about B) you're right! Thats a new one! And C) really? I guess I've never considered quantum tunneling on a massive scale, since we can't do it on a micro scale yet, can we? I don't keep up with science like I should. Too busy with dumb politics. /eyeroll
0 -
Sort of, yes. And yes, we can do it on a micro scale.
1 -
I think it’s very hard to understand just exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why.
In your ogirinal post you say you wouldn’t be opposed to them adding something in a “discreet” kind of way, now you are saying that you’re ok with them looking either masculine or feminine. Just not..... in drag?
So, first off. You do know that drag is just a “character” right? Like even drag queens themselves will tell you they are a dude in a wig and a dress. So just because there might be a cosmetic that is done creatively (think they were taken by the entity on a night they performed-type of thing) that is interesting! Not just for cosmetic purposes but storytelling.
Because then you could have them in something that could resemble their art, and maybe have other cosmetics where they are out of drag. You follow?
Also, you do realize (as others have pointed out) we have “silly” looking costumes already. Kate Denson looking kind of “draggish” in this ensemble:
2 -
Bruh chill, the new LGBT survivor will be Hank Hill.
1 -
You say this then ignore literally every other crazy cosmetic that doesn't fit the dbd aesthetic. Don't try to hide behind excuses, you clearly DO have a problem with it.
1 -
😂You win the day. LOL Damn youngin's always tryin to show the old people up! 🤣
0 -
As long as it isn't overdone I would be content with drag survivor.
0 -
😂😂😂😂😂😂
1 -
Kermit the frog is already established as kids/family friendly. However, if you were telling me a man who happens to play with puppets is going to be killer then yes that will still be able to follow the horror theme. As him playing with puppet is just his career. Part of his backstory. Same way a drag queen could be part of someone backstory.
0 -
Why are you thanking them when you have clearly stated more than once that you don’t want somebody in ‘crazy make up’ with big eyelashes in this game? You haven’t once said that you’d accept a Drag Queen cosmetic if it wasn’t the default choice so please take several seats.
2 -
And here we go with assuming what the new character is and what bhvr is gonna add. A drag queen has not been confirmed.
1 -
The games story is very short. Entity bad, takes people into its realm, endless cycle of trying to escape or killing and its feeding off the hope of survivors.
That's it.
Some character stories are nice yeah but most people don't really care. As long as you know a bit of a background (for example adam is a teacher) most people will leave it there and be satisfied. I am sure there is less than 1% of players that actually read the archive entries. I completed all challenges so far and never read any entry because I couldn't care less and I haven't found a single person who enjoys reading those entries. The cutscenes are nice hto.
0 -
It's good that most people don't care, just means they have no reason to oppose stuff that will be in the lore.
1 -
Yeah. It might make for a fun outfit in the store or something. I think having the base outfit being something outlandish just panders and plays right into stereotypes.
I mean, I'm queer for sure, but I honestly don't care if they add a queer character. I don't need that kinda fluff.

I think you opened back pandoras box
