How do you hit survivors on the other side of a pallet as Victor?

Every time I try to pounce over a pallet, Victor gets stuck on the top of the pallet and doesn't hit the survivor.

  You have to pounce at just the right angle and at a slight distance from the pallet. Go into a custom game with the cat figurine and try it out. It isn't hard once you get use to it.

  Back up a little, Victor needs a couple meters to reach maximum height. Looking up helps too.
