Reminder that Groaning Storehouse now has a literal infinite/near-infinite.
2 windows in Groaning Storehouse's main building create a loop that is so insanely big that chase can break, creating an infinite. It happens to me every single time I play on that map either as killer or survivor. There is 0 thought needed to loop that disgustingly strong window (I have turned my brain off and just held shift + W+ pressed space so many times to force a killer off of me), yet it can waste minutes of the killer's time and there is nothing they can do about it unless they're Nurse, Spirit, Blight, possibly Slinger, potentially Huntress (4.4m/s around that loop, eughhh), maybe Doctor after a massive loop or two (possibly less with addons), and maybe Pyramid.
It's funny how it was added AFTER the graphics update, meaning this stupid window chain is a modern-day DBD loop.
Even if you could eventually get close enough to keep chase going, you could probably waste 2 minutes at that window with no counterplay available except literally just leaving. The breakable wall also does nothing. I'm pretty sure going through the breakable wall opening might be the same as just going through the window. That sounds exactly like old god loops lol.
If you don't believe me, go in a KYF, play any killer/have your friend play a killer that can't attack from high range or catch up insanely fast like the ones listed, and see how long your time is wasted chaining those 2 windows at that main building.
What's even better is that the gen spread on that map is so big that there is almost nothing a killer can do to win if they spend enough time at that window/give up chases at the window/give up the main building gen because of the window, because protecting the gens is near impossible unless you're playing a killer with insane mobility, and even then, you can get screwed over. It's hard to patrol on that map even as Blight because the gens are so far apart and in the weirdest sections of the map.

This is where you should post, if you want the devs to notice it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/suggestions
General Discussions is where most forumgoers post, but that's where the devs usually go to read about issues like this.

Thank you, I wasn't sure.

It has been brought up multiple times. Survivors said its fine so don’t expect anything to change.
They weakened this window in early 2020 just to bring it back in late 2020. Then they added the fat shame tree as the cherry on the cake. Its an intentional choice.
Also the small window is an infinite against Deathslinger and Huntress.

*laughs in Nurse scream*
In all seriousness it is really annoying, just leave the survivor alone and go find someone else, its all you can really do. Or again play Trapper, Hag, or Nurse.

Just played haddonfield with Mike an it spawned the basement window and the survivors loved it. Was able to catch one an chase one off in tier 3 but outside of it no chance. Spawned more pallets than usual it seemed too.

Is this when the secondary window is that larger one with a hole in instead of the tiny side one?

They're both open at the same time (the tiny one and the large one with the hole). Even if they weren't, either would still be busted, but the fact that you can chain them makes it 10x worse.
Unless you're asking something else?

I'm just wondering if you mean the small window by the door or the one near the large opening (not the breakable wall one tha talways spawns). I assume its the latter as I can't imagine that other one being an infinite in a million years.

as both sides player - this place is aids. Im happy there is not much survivors who understand how to run it

I hate this main building so damn much.
A ton of killers can't really deal with it and it's so damn boring and cheesy.
I rather want to see those 2 windows nerfed and the 2 pallets that were there before to be added instead

Don't suppose anyone could explain why this window was brought back? it was removed now it's back. What gives? escape rates of the map?

Isnt this the one with the breakable wall next to it? Its annoying to HAVE to break the wall to remove an infinite but I've never had any issues with it after the wall has been broken. Or am I mistaking this for something else...?

I made a little picture.
I assume they're talking about when window 1 is open and 2 is barred, as window 2 is worthless coming from that side.
I actually haven't seen this one recently myself but it definitely seems like it could be a near infinite. There's some blocks that the survivor has to run around by the breakable door window, but the time saved from the killer having to go long around window 1 (or vault it) would definitely make up for the distance lost on each vault for the survivor. Bamboozle or go home for this setup it looks like.

The breakable wall doesn't really do much thats the issue, it's too far from the door. I think blood lodge has the same thing where theres no point to having a door because it's a mile from the window.
I've never seen 1 and 2 open at the same time but 2 being looped becomes an infinite against 110% killers

Wait survivors get to decide whats fair for both sides, that doesn't sound fair at all

That's not how it works, the other user was just trying to make an anti-survivor and anti-dev comment.

I forget text doesn't convey sarcasm very well
