95% of people say the killer is weak... who could have predicted this?!
The forums are laughable right now, 9/10 post are people talking about how frustrating and useless the new killer is. Its almost like i heard this already from anyone who had 2 brain cells to rub together BEFORE the PTB even.
He's slow, his knives are useless and his power makes him almost more useless.... he has recoil for some reason.
I fail to believe that all 300 people at BHVR.... even half were like "Ce tueur est vraiment fort"
Cause he is not strong unless he's against brand new players with less then 10 games played. Players with 5k hours struggle with him... how do you think players with 1000 hrs or less are gonna fair?
This killer sums up BHVR, completely disconnected from the community. Its well known that most of the devs at BHVR either dont play the game or dont play it at high ranks.
SO HERES AN IDEA
Use your "fog whispers"! Use the people you trust with 5k hours, if EVERYONE says a killer is weak... but BHVR says " we reject your reality and substitute my own" and clearly think a killer is strong then who are you trying to convince?
You have a TON of smart and talented people on youtube/twitch who give very valid opinions and ways to make an aspect of the game better.
Tru3, Otz, Monto, Scott Jund, etc...
You have an amazing reddit community with creative outfits, perk, and killer ideas....
You have a PTB.... USE IT. lol test perk changes, make a killer slightly op to assess better what could be changed vs putting them on there weak and broken and trying to see what could be down. Stop wasting time changing Useless perks to make them Very Weak instead... Ive never seen a big studio, do so little and be so disconnected from their game and community.

Yup. Its so sad they don't listen to people like Otzdarva or Scott when they're amazing players and really care for both sides of the game, wanting balance and fun gameplay.
But instead they just reject every single idea, or take months to even implement it. Blight's FOV should've been fixed in between the PTB and sending him to live, but it took 6 months instead. Just one example of how lazy, stubborn and petty they can be.
Trickster, if lucky will get a buff mid-chapter at best. If not, probably give him a year sitting in D tier with no one playing him because he's THAT bad.

Like, with the other chapters that were/are deemed week there was at least SOME work put into it, if you get to it. Here? It's honestly laughable. It's all glamour and no remarkable substance. but hey, kpop pretty boy and oh-look-how-much-we-engage-with-the-community... it's trying so hard, instead of... trying to actually do good work?

I didn’t wanna comment until I tried him since I’m console, but wow is he literally worthless. I think I got one kill in 15 games only because of rancor. I try to use his power as much as I can and it hinders more than it helps. It needs to not decay away

The forums are swamped in people saying trickster is weak, all of the fog whisperers (even the ones that shill) say he's weak, pretty much everyone says he's weak....yet if you watch one of the devs stream you'll be told where all wrong and its all smoke without fire

If i remember correctly, they nerfed his bounce addon to make it so you dont get any extra laceration for hitting it while bounced, but made it bounce twice. There may be another nerf or something, ive stopped paying attention to this game

Main events even weaker. It has a 1 second startup to activate. Makes trickster slower, Has a 2.5 second stun and blocks off knives for 15 seconds when the power ends. And i think has a 60 second cooldown? Just don't use it in the 1 second startup you could have already landed 4 knives.

Scott? Nah. The guy is one of the most obnoxious survivor main that try to pretend he is not and one that ONLY want killer to be kneecaped at every possible opportunity.
Also, yeah, the killer is terribad in every possible aspect, ESPECIALLY when you start comparing him to other ranged killers like Huntress, Deathslinger or Plague (especially plague funnily enough).

There's some truth to this. To be fair though, that's usually what it takes to pip.
Hell, you can get four kills and STILL depip if you're playing a killer who doesn't do long chases.
BVHR is really good at telling a killer they're trash if they don't 12 hook every game.

You do realize Scott is a killer main right? He mains Oni, Blight, and he is known as an extremely good huntress as well. He isn't a survivor main in the slightest lmao.

I've said this before as well, but I have to agree with what everyone is saying about Trickster. He is garbage at the moment. I still find him fun to play, tho.

That's what he likes to repeat, but anyone that have watched any of his videos would know that's not the case, like at all.
Tru3 is a killer main, Otz too. Scott is a survivor main that will pretend he is a killer main to use it as a starting point for is constant whining about how killers are strong. His video "An Idea to Make Flashlights More Interactive" is the perfect exemple of survivor dishonesty since it's real title should have been "An idea to make flashlights way stronger".

They're scared to buff killers; whenever they improve an aspect of a killer, they reduce the effectiveness of another. Latest example is Wraith: faster movement, but painfully slow uncloak.

Oh I am a fan of Jund's and I catch his streams sometimes as well and I never see that, the ideas he proposes arent ever pro survivor, and in that video he just gave an idea on how flashlights could be more fun, flashlights, as they are now, aren't very good anyways, very easy to counter and play around.

It literally makes no sense that they don't do this as part of his base kit, 2 traps on start & can always carry two.
A minor buff technically, but would make Trapper dramatically more playable without needing to farm the web every damn game. Quality of life, barely a buff.
Hell they could give Trapper 4 traps at start with green dye and he'd still just be a mid-tier killer. Overshadowed still, easily, by spirit and nurse.
Why are Behavior so damn slow for obvious changes?

The saddest part is that ALL that recoil is perfectly uneeded. Not when you have already a swap stance time window, a wind up, no crosshair, a travel time, a fall off and a ammo count.

There's also the fact that, in all honesty, Main Event got nerfed, too.
Sure, you auto-throw knives. Sure, you can cancel it. Sure, you no longer lose ammo. But it's still so garbage that you'll rarely want to use it because of that godawful movement speed. But they forgot to mention the change where you now eat a Legion fatigue after Main Event is done. So it's now worse, haha.

also when you have 5k hrs in the game, youre more of a main of any aspect of the game then people with 1k hours in the game lol especially if you play 50/50

The Trickster would be alright IF for th we'd fact that he is supposed to be a professional knife throwing expert. And honestly, how is knife throwing going to have recoil? His Showstopper is redundant. He loses it if Trickster doesn't use it right away, why? It's rapid fire automatically, where as holding the button to throw is already a thing. And I haven't yet gone against him. But his endgame running animation is as if he is supposed to be faster than 4.4, which makes it seem he's running with slicked soles. If even you use an addon for a speed boost, it's still not speedy enough for a chase. When he's a regular athletic human being whose been captured alive by the Entity according to his lore.
All-Kill, is All-around just redundant from his actuality from his perspective ability. Deceptively slow for a professional performering artist.

Agreed, I main Legion as Robbie the Rabbit for shits and giggles and never use Feral Frenzy. Seems if I use Trickster, it's about to be the same tactics for me. As why bother using a useless "superpower"

It took me 5 minutes in the PTB and live servers to realize how slow and weak this killer would be, his time to kill is just awful. His just overall design in the game is just plain BORING. "Oh but he's hot"...yeah cool, no one cares. People want fun gameplay not pretty boys and girls in florescent colours and if you don't like him you're "homophobic". I made videos and posts about why they should delay this chapter because it would probably just lose them money and no one would buy it and the amount of people who have claimed to uninstall the game since chapter 19's release is hilarious. Well they got another lackluster chapter than everyone got bored of after 1 game. That's what happens when you don't stick to the core games iconic vibe and making a whole chapter. Sad to think Silent Hill was the last good chapter we got.

With the exception of having bad games I don't exactly have the problems everyone has. I've been able to maintain games and get consistent 2 - 4k games with Trickster, at worst 1 kill. This is all in purple - red ranks.
He's definitely not as bad as people say but he is weak in many regards not having any pressure. Get use to his aiming and take a bit to really learn from what works and what doesn't.
He's definitely fun but agreeably he is possibly the weakest killer in the game though not downright terrible. I don't exactly understand where some of this hate comes from as this chapter as had a lot of detail put into it aesthetic wise while working at home.
