So Mori's arent ok?
But SWF and Keys are? Things that horribly imbalance the game and unfun for killers to play against? Sure thing BHVR, Fair and Balanced. Can we at least get a ranked mode where only Solos can play and a casual mode for SWF? League does it, every competitive online multiplayer game does it. But not this one? Why?

Pretty sure you can squad up to play overwatch or league competitively
Also keys are being changed soon :)

keys are definitely bullshit
I've had so many survivors escape through hatch WITH A KEY in front of my face
if hatches had open animations like gates or chests this wouldn't happen and it would be slightly more fair

Honestly I don't care about moris anymore they aren't a problem for me on either sides. The thing they probably could have done to correct this was to hook every survivor once maybe idk. Moving it to after 2nd hook makes mori's useless and kinda fair because getting moried off of first hook was not fun and I didn't like it as a killer either because it just make it seem like im actually horrible at the game by taking the easy way out of things. Sometimes I like to spare survivors but if they really annoy me then they will get moried no if ands butts about it.

keys should have been changed the same day as mori change
6 -
While I would have liked that I just hope they are putting the time in to rework them properly

Keys are getting changed but Moris were still more unhealthy than they were considering how easy it was to use them. Also, since BHVR already acknowledges keys as a problem and are working on them, you cannot make the argument that they think one of them is more fair than the other.
And no. No splitting game modes for swf vs non swf. They need to buff solos to swf level and then balance killers.
1 -
Moris had the problem that they unbalanced the game, if the killer managed to hooktunnel mori a survivor of his first hook, turning a game designed as 4v1 into a 3v1 too early on.
keys dont have that potential. In most cases, keys come into play as a backup in an already lost game. Does it rob the killer of one or two kills? Yes, it does. But it also saves the solo survivor those team got hit by (serious, not the i-got-downed-so-i) dcs.
Moris could turn an undecided or even a lossing game into a win, key´s cant. They just let people survive, but not turn it into a win.
However, the emblem system doesnt reflect that, as well as it doesnt reflect the win if a killer kills all survivors on first hook with no gens done.
Swf, on the other hand...yes, thats the most op feature in the game, and they are not going to do anything about it. And as bad as i think it is, i understand the decision. Balancing the game but alienating 50% of the player base doesnt seem like a good tradeoff for a game thats not really designed for competition anyway.

Hatch should only spawn under 2 conditions.
1. All five generators are repatired.
2. Only one survivor remains in the trial.
Also Mori's should offer a higher bloodpoint score than hooks. Then they might be worth using the offerings.

Soon(TM)*
I only play survivor and Keys are out of control right now. lol

I don't think any reasonable person disagrees that keys need to be changed/removed. But I really struggle to understand why SWF is a problem. There's only so much communication can do for a group, people don't become unmindgameable gods because they're on discord with each other. Even when I'm not playing Nurse, my main, I have a hard time distinguishing a 4 man SWF from a decently organized solo queue team. Besides, most people play with friends to have fun, not to practice for competitive tournaments. Some SWFs are even easier to kill because of that.
Splitting queues like that would kill the game. Killers that are scared of the almighty swfs, which it seems are the majority, would obviously always opt for going against solo queuers, SWF's queue time would get too long and they would only go against 1/4 of the killer roster all the time, they would drop the game for something better, and it wouldn't take long for solo queuers to start quitting as well given that solo queue is provably the weakest role in the game.

Yes, but there it is 5v5, this is 1v4. What advantage does the killer have against survivors right now unless they are Nurse and Spirit, how break the way the game is normally played?
0 -
Not all SWFs are almighty, but all SWFs cant ake or find a key and take the hatch if they are losing the game. There is no counterplay to this. And the fact is, this game is still running off a design that was not intended for voice communication. If they changed how the game worked and made it so that it voice communication in mind, then groups on comms would not be as much of a problem. It makes an already frustrating mechanic even more frustrating.

Moris were game breaking, period, and the what aboutisms on this forum are pointless and boring. And as a solo survivor, I can promise you that you get a lot of kills because of people bringing in keys and letting their teammates die so they can get hatch. I can't tell you how many games I've had where everyone would have been out if people hadn't decided to settle for hatch and screw over their teammates. They've done far more harm than good.

Pretty sure they have more mori changes coming, and considering how utterly useless they are it's hard to imagine it's anything other than a buff. Time will tell though, they have nerfed weaker things before after all...(looking at you gearhead.)
0 -
yeah, "soon"... see you in 3 years...
please, when it comes to killers, BH is fast to act( just when it's about nerfing), but when it's about the surv... eheh, they taaaaaaake their time to "balance" the stuff.

Trickster got buffed a patch after his release
Demo and blight got buffs next patch after his release
Spirit still hasn’t been nerfed yet
I could go on
2 -
But they didn't take the time to rework moris properly.
now they are USELESS

Moris are in a good spot right now. They don't end games in half the time anymore and are pure for fun.
People complaining about them are probably the same people who bring a map offering to Haddonfield with balanced landing
0 -
Mori’s are fine now imo. If you want to avoid DS or sabo/flashlight plays on last hook bring one. An offering shouldn’t affect gameplay too much
But I will be pissed if the key rework is meaningless
1 -
If moris were "fine" then why is no killer using them?
Because they are ######### garbage right now.
That change was lazy and no one wants to use moris now. Making something useless is not how you balance something.
"An offering shouldn’t affect gameplay too much" and yet a key which is an item that can be found for free in a chest can give survivors an easy escape. That's fair
0 -
Did I ever say keys are fair?
Mori’s as offerings shouldn’t affect gameplay much. The most a survivor offering can do is make hooks spawn farther away
0 -
Lol no.
Survivors can also spawn hatch at killer shack which greatly increases their chance of escape WITH A KEY
on top of making hooks farther they can also put in that mist offering making it harder for killers to find survivors.
There is 4 survivors so 4x annoying offerings.
A killer using a mori is fair
0 -
you can't seriously be saying that ignoring 66% of your objective was fair?
0 -
Keys are fine, it's the hatch spawn conditions that are the problem.
Spawning when there's just one survivor left, or when all gens are repaired, is absolutely fine. But there's no need for the hatch to spawn when there's multiple survivors left, and there's still objectives (gens) left for them to do. It just allows them to bypass their objective, something the killer can't do.
Old Mori's were a form of objective bypass (for 1/8th of the killers objective) , but with it requiring two hooks now, it's nothing compared to hatches at 3 gens (allows all remaining survivors to bypass 100% of their remaining objective)
Even the recent nerf did nothing to actually hamper their use. When you're opening the hatch with a key, you're already making sure all survivors know about it, and are ready to jump in. You never needed 30 seconds, 10 was always more than enough.
In addition, give Mori offerings a BP bonus multiplier for non-hook kills, so that using a Mori might actually be worth something.
1 -
People don’t use them because they’d rather run bloodpoint offerings. I see moris about as often now as I did before they were changed, once in a while but not super often.
How would you even know nobody uses them anyway? Do you play a lot of survivor?
0 -
Its not just that BP offerings are worth more than Mori's, but that a Mori kill actually awards LESS BP and emblem progress than a sacrifice, so you're actively hindering your progress to use them. When you gained a hook state for using them they were worth using, now all they offer is a slim chance at dodging a DS, which no one is concerned about anymore anyway.

Unfortunately its they are really dragging their heels on the key fix cause....reasons
1 -
Considering how long it's taking for keys to get reworked maybe it means BHVR has a big plan for them. Maybe they're gonna get reworked harder than moris but we'll just have to wait for the information.

legion had a bug about his power that wasn't working as intended, took behaviour almost 2 months to fix him
pyramid head had a sound bug with his power, they fixed it like 1 month ago and he was released in 2020..
blight had a pov bug since his release, and got fixed few weeks ago, not to mention all the other bugs he still has, like the hitboxes
demo was released in 2019,he got buffed in 2021
DS was nerfed after 4 years of pure abuse..
i could go on..

I dont have any problems with Keys, its part of the game and they need to complete at least 3 gens to even be able to see the hatch or correct me if I am wrong.
I think Mori's are okay too. Part of the game.
0 -
But why take more time on them? They are just as annoying as Moris where before, but they have been left at thier current power level for years now, and months after the Mori nerf.
