I just did a little search through the optimization forum section between some matches this morning. In the first 5 pages, about 150 threads, there are 4 of the 150 threads that are closed and the reason was the thread was in the wrong section or not a valid concern as it was working as it was supposed to be, 2 were closed with no response as to why but were still in pending, 1 was answered and acknowledge as an already reported bug and 1 was answered and told it was posted in the wrong forum section.
So 142 threads in optimization in the first 5 pages are still in a pending status with no response. The oldest one I noticed was almost a year ago, June 2020.

I'm fairly certain the devs know all of the fps drop triggers, we've all listed them regularly multiple times.
So I have to believe they shouldn't have much trouble reproducing them, unless they actually don't have consoles around to test on...

At this point, I don't believe we're gonna see anything in regards to console optimisation. I just wish BHvr would just say they aren't gonna do it anymore

I'm starting to have my doubts that it will given I have had 2 posts in here stealth edited. And what offensive crime did I commit? I @ community managers.
What do I mean by stealth edited? One post was deleted, the other had the @ removed and it didn't say at the bottom which mod edited it. When I at the forum rules, I don't see any rules against @ community managers so I guess my only reasonable option left is to conjure up conspiracy theories. 😒

I'm nervous how the new DLC will be on console. I want to be hopeful/positive but I'm dreading more triggers for fps drops. 😔

Well, I have 2 more trophies to get for my plat. Just gonna work on those and uninstall. Not buying the RE chapter.
I'm frustrated and disappointed at the cowardice of BHVR's lack of a simple yes or no to the core question here. If their way of dealing with problems are ignoring them until they go away, well, it's working.

I asked in ptb feedback for someone to see how he feels with controller. So far only one has responded, said he felt fine to him but doesn't usually play killer and didn't know Blight/Trickster had issues. 🤷♀️

I'm hoping the delay is because they are figuring out what exactly they can tell us without giving us a repeat of the vague/brush off answers we've received previously.

I've noticed that people jumping into lockers is also making the game freeze. This seems new

no, they usually don't, but there actually are a few spots where the framerate drops, for example in The Game map. they are very very few, I think it happened only twice so far, and even with the drop the framerate was better than anything I ever experienced on PS4.
Still, the fact that these drops do exist, make me think it's only a matter of time until everything will break even there.

I'd like to say that's the first time I've heard of drops on the new consoles but it's not. Sad new consoles haven't been out for a year but patches have already started to bring performance issues.

I love getting a frame drops right when i try to turn and end up disoriented like you in the last clip :D

If this forum allowed you to straight up post Xbox clips, I'd have easily 50 clips I could post, I just don't want to go through the hassle of posting them to youtube.
I've played 3 games so far today and no joke have been downed three times due to sloppy butcher straight up freezing my game for a full second.
Just like the post of this hilariously long thread states "It's getting harder and harder to enjoy this game".

That's not unusual,unfortunately.
We already had a similiar thread with 30+ pages and the only thing we got from the Community Managers/Devs was the super helpful "We will look into this" type of response :)

Also on topic, I've noticed performance getting worse with every patch as well - the last few patches in particular if I play for more than like a couple of hours or so it feels like the game gets jittery or something like that.

Apparently that's a memory leak issue,that has been a thing for like 1 or 2 years.
No update on that problem aswell

Ahhh yes if I don't restart the game every 3-5 matches the fps drops worsen badly, and the likelihood of getting the dredded "No Internet Connection" error vastly increases.
Not promising if players have to bandaid over these issues with very frequent restarts.

I've been hoping the delay has been because their pr manager is dragging their feet on proper wording that isn't just another vague brush off response but the longer we go without word the more I feel like they're just going to ignore and hope that someone will pop into this post and give a reason for it to get closed. 😔

I feel like new members keep joining the forums to complain about the poor optimization. I keep seeing new posts pop up from people that haven't even commented on this post.

I even looked at Pulsar's "BHVR read" stat on his profile the thread doesn't even show up on there. Its clear the BHVR devs have noticed and are aware of the thread but have yet to comment on it at all
Perhaps a "wise" thing but in the absence of communication its easy for that silence to be seen in another way

That is even more reason to pin this thread so everything is in one place.
I live streamed dbd this game on Friday for 5 and half hours probably noticed about 4 times frames dropped and caused issue making me loose what I was doing .Lucky I don't take the game super serious lol so didn't bother me but still need addressing especially seeing what pulsar has showed in his clips .
