Here's my report:
Update did nothing. Freezes MAY be SLIGHTLY less common than before. Other than that, nothing changed.
Except for removing the cosmetic glitch, thank God for that.

The Resident Evil map can also randomly show up in ranked matches where it will then most likely crash your game, so that's cool too!
So essentially this patch removed the cosmetic glitch, which was bothering absolutely no one, and also made it so that sometimes you can get the new map which will crash your game. Instead of fixing anything of note the patch made the game even worse. Incredible!

The plan was wait and see if it got any better iirc. As it as not, in fact, got any better, I think Pulsar is gonna reach out. If not him, then I'd try to find time to email people despite college deciding that it'd un-cancel about a months worth of canceled days two days before the first was about to start

Neat,the hotfix didn't fix ANYTHING of importance.
Only thing that slightly improved was Nemesis performance.

I hate to say wait but I do think it would be best to wait until they finally "fix" the performance issues that came from this patch. Currently they are listed as a known issue. Reaching out too early BHVR could say 1. It's known issue or 2. "next patch will fix performance issues" which would completely ignore the optimization from before that we've been pushing for with this post. Usually the first patch after chapter isn't a good one, as they have said it's mostly crap from ptb not from live release.

The console people have been waiting for well over 2 years for the devs to act on their word (goal: 60 fps on all platforms) and not only have they not delivered on that, they made it worse so now even pc players are affected by their disregard for game health. I get your point but many people are outraged, and rightfully so.

I am a console player, I know we've been waiting. I've participated on posts since last summer complaining about the poor optimization on console.
Yes, it is worse right now and even pc players are pissed BUT we don't want to jump the gun and have them JUST fix the issue's from this patch and continue to ignore the optimization we've been fighting for that is 2 years old. If go to media now and they then reach out to BHVR the focus will be on THIS patch performance issues, BHVR will easily be able to then brush it off when the performance issues from only this patch are fixed and pc is fine again. It's better to wait for the current issues to be fixed so the old issues can be focused on and there is nothing to distract from 2 years of brush offs.

Remember everyone the devs fixed cosmetics first. So, they definitely got their priorities else where.

This situation is unfortunate, and it is a shame that none of the glaring issues got a fix. Hopefully, the developers are releasing a fix for the performance issues soon so that all players can enjoy the game issue-free. I have been experiencing consistent performance problems since the patch, too, and have hardly touched the game because of it. Dealing with frequent game hiccups is frustrating, disheartening, and makes me feel that I am better off spending my time doing something else.ย
Honestly, I wish there was more communication from Behavior to keep us updated throughout these issues. Don't get me wrong, I genuinely appreciate the effort of the mods who are working hard to help where they can, but I miss the days when the Community Managers interacted with everyone more. During those times, it always felt like we had a more direct link to Behavior and that they were constantly acknowledging and reporting issues to the developers, which was a positive thing.ย

They've acknowledged some issues, but haven't resolved them.

First match and it seems to be better for me no frame drops just a weird flicking light at the edges of the screen will play a few more of nemmy and try other killers too

This right here. The devs were "working on it", yet they were clearly fixing dumb bugs like this instead. "Just wait" is just ignoring evidence at this point. Their priorities are honestly awful.
Licensers, imo, should stop working with BHVR until they get their act together, no other company has this issue, and Evil Dead needs to try and compete with DBD.

Second match as nemmy and frame drops are creeping in can't be the map either because I had blood lodge twice in a row so God knows it's not as bad but if it worked perfectly fine match one now second match I'm getting issues then doesn't look ๐ท๐ญ

Now look, after playing a few games, As a survivor I have not had problems in fact it improved, but from Killer, Nemesis in Autohaven God, I think they did not improve it, when turning in loops I kept blinking and when I hit now I'm going to test it for the 2nd time since I updated the drivers.

I wish my experience was as good as yours. I have played all of 3 games today and had to quit because the frame drops when a crow would fly away or a survivor was hooked then led to me suddenly rubber banding backwards by about 5 feet in game, or led to a missed skill check because it wasn't in sync at all. It's honestly not better for survivors. My friend on PC mentioned on her stream how her game would 'freeze' while levelling up a character - as in she couldn't select anything or switch characters and had to go into the match as the one she was frozen on instead of the one she wanted (frozen on Nea, wanted to be Bill for BT).
I will say it's ridiculous how they try to fix fecking cosmetics but not ANY of the optimization. Hmm...

Okay, played a match as survivor and as killer. I didn't notice that much stuttering, but then the killer didn't have any perks and I was on a hook when the last gen popped.
As killer I didn't get much stuttering.
BUT MY GOD! STOP THE DAMN FLASHING!!!
The game is now worse then before with all the flashing of rendering and unrendering stuff. That was made 100x worse then before. I'm gonna fear to even play now, since I get really bad headaches from too much flashing lights (that's why I don't like to face a doctor and will just play for points and nothing more, sorry team).
I think I now have to put away the game for the next hotfix, because this is costing me my health :/

The flashing is horrible. Honestly I thought I was seeing things since the chapter patch - like maybe the freezing was just playing with my eyes, but seeing someone else mention it confirms it's an additional issue.
I played handful of survivor matches today. I noticed start of match it seems OK until the killer uses their power. Plague puking on something/one, Hag setting trap, Freddy setting snare, etc. Once they start using their powers somewhere on the map the freezing starts. Also gets worse from match to match. Nemesis really didn't notice much of a change against him, still freezing same amount. Anytime I would go to search a chest I'd get freeze when I started, freeze when it opened, and another freeze if I picked up the item.

Yeah, the hotfix made it for me (personally) even more unplayable. How can this stuff even happen?
At this point, I will gladly test their game on my ps4 FOR FREE before an update releases. I don't want anything for it, I want a game that is good to play.

3rd game on pale rose nemmy only frame drops owith a Leon that was using flashbang and frame drops when I'd turn to chase him only he's the only survivor I experienced the frame drops with
Also it seems so inconsistent like I'm trying to pin down actually what's causing it to no luck guess nemmys still just has those frame issues guess I'll try piggy to see if I get any problems with her ๐ค๐ท

I feel like it happens around freezes. Before the hotfix they were nearly at same time so not as noticeable but now seems like the flashes are happening more while you aren't freezing so they stand out more. For me they are more frequent when playing against Nemesis.

If anyone here is on PS4 I've gotten word in my web that Sony has a software update for PS4, and updating will help with most DBD framerate issues. Nothing for Xbox players but I'm diving deeper into Twitter.

I do not remember the record, I think I was a wee young'n back then and I can barely remember what I had for breakfast 2 days ago.
I have yet to play some PC games, been busy crying + thinking about how everyone hates me. I'll log-in in a bit, play on native on usual graphical settings + send it here to see if it's better. Any particular killer you want me to play?

I haven't played against a Nurse yet, luckily. I think the flashes are probably tied to the freezes when a killer uses their power. Would make sense you'd get a ton with a Nurse, probably from the amount of blinking. Nemesis probably from his distance attack and zombie combo. I had it more while asleep with Freddy than awake.

I recently got the game on Switch and killer is literally unplayable without shadowborn, because it acts like stretched and helps a lot with frames (not something amazing but at least playable)
