The Nemesis - Progressively Underwhelming

I'd like to start off saying that Nemesis is one of my favorite adversaries in gaming, when I found out that we were getting a Resident Evil chapter I was beyond excited and hyped. The early gameplay looked promising, and the addition of AI's to assist him fits and is an extremely unique feature.. BUT I can't look past his flaws.

1) The speed boost on contamination

This has to be one of the worst design decisions I've seen. I understand that this was probably done since contamination can only be "cleansed" 4 times, unlike plague, but it still is an awful intentional nerf that isn't needed (not even plague gives survivors a speed boost when they're put into the damaged state.. LOL). Having to hit someone twice to damage them is already annoying, having to hit them three times is just too much.

2) Default mutation rate being horrible

Without addons getting to level 3 mutation is ridiculous, even if you're killing every zombie that walks near you and exclusively using your tentacle strike it will take forever to level up. The "moderately increases" addons make it EXTREMELY easy to level up though. His default needs to be increased and the addons need to be decreased, there's a terrible balance to the point where you almost need to bring a mutation rate addon in order to use your power. Needing addons to use your power efficiently is awful. Its the same story with Windstorm wraith, which thankfully was balanced out more so that you don't feel like you need it in order to play well.

Aside from these two major flaws, the killer is pretty good. He has the potential to be amazing, but with these intentional crutches he's nowhere near his potential. I've played him since the beta and I've already P3'd this killer because I love his addition to the game, I've easily clocked over 100 hours on him on the live branch and it's become clear that survivors have learned his caveats and his weaknesses are much more apparent.

But ... each tentacle hit gives a whopping 0.25 seconds of hindered! 1/4 second! It's like 1/10th of a clown bottle that's much harder to land, and that also gives them a sprint burst. Clown confirmed OP

But seriously, I definitely agree with all of that. I'm disappointed with the state Nemmy's in, but it does feel like he can definitely be salvaged with a few changes. This doesn't feel like he's in need of a full rework or anything drastic, just some common sense adjustments. I'd also like for T3 to do something more meaningful than add 1m of range, but that feels like less of a critical issue

100% 1M of range is honestly laughable when comparing to someone like Pyramid Head
