Corrupt Intervention

But when I play survivor I see Pop or Ruin WAY more then I see corrupt

This perk is really only a massive pain in the indoor maps. Gens are already hard enough to find in the game and Lery’s.

I’m very gen efficient so to me it’s somewhat of a wasted perk slot, and I’m all for it. I have 4 other gens & 5 totems I can choose to work on, in the interim. Every match I proactively try to avoid getting 3 genned. CI is more of an inconvenience than it is as a hindrance, IMO.

If I have it as my chosen killer, I use it.
It's the go-to slowdown perk. It gives you time to set-up (Trapper/Hag) or track down your prey (Myers/Oni) while lessening the risk of a pinball machine 2 gen pop in the first minutes of the match.

Mmm werid. I haven't actually gotten a ruin all weak tbh. Pop a bunch, but Corrupt was just on a mad 11 game streak over a past few day span.

It's not even used all that much, but the reasons would be like you said balance. Big maps mean you loose and even on average maps if all survivors spawn separated you can lose gens fast even in a quick down. I dont blame killers using it, but by no means is it strong at all and I wouldn't even say it's over used. If it's not OP and people use it often that's saying theres another issue... early game. It's an alright perk sadly there arent more like it.

I run corrupt on my huntress along with nurses, BBQ, and IM. Love it nothing but success but then I run it on Legion and everyone hides because they know if I hit one they all get hit. So I swapped it on him. Myers and trapper I really want it but still has not showed up uhhhh fml.

Corrupt tells you where to go early game and helps set up a 3 gen for end game most of the time...and it isn't for free you give up a perk slot which weakens you later by helping you in the start to apply pressure and not lose gens immediately to survivors that spawn next to them

Different kind of hate

EVERY PERK TAKES A SLOT to be fair and most need requirements for a payoff. I don't hate the perk, it clearly is being overused in the higher rank games. It's no the perk, it's more of the reliance of said perk
It can help in end game by setting up a three gen situation. You can be offendsive till it's gone and then be defensive. It is worth that ONE SLOT to the point I get it very often when I go play survivor.

And with hex perks about to get slaughtered with the new dlc what else can a killer really use...I know I am going to be gunning for ruins and devour hopes with those new perks

MAYBE IF GEN RUSHES weren't so easy

now we are complaining about a perk that can be litearally counterd by not doing nothing for 120 seconds wich is easy while playing with friends. if not it just gives the killer some decent gen defense early game wich is necessary to build the power if the killer needs to.

Yeah playing killer at higher ranks is a joke vs a team that gen rushes correctly...killer always loses

I'd stop using things like Corrupt entirely if exhaustion perks weren't in play every single game to waste my time with no skill on the part of the survivor.
2 -
Ah, but you see Corrupt always has two survivors next to those block gens somewhere. You were seperated.

Its a balancing issue. Like 4v1 are survivor favored, but 2v1 gives the survivors no chance of getting gens done.

Corrupt is an incredibly powerful perk and those claiming it's bad don't know how to utilise it properly, tbh.
But, some maps do cause it to have bad spawns...however, those maps are generally much smaller and as such, its purpose isn't even necessary. It's just a bandaid perk for big maps however can become very oppressive on the more balanced maps in terms of size, which is problematic, imo. No idea how to fix it.
That said, it's insane how often spawns bug and cause the survivors spawn separately on gens randomly dotted around the map, and Corrupt also serves to minimise this issue, too, since this alone on a map like Disturbed Ward or Mount Ormond Resort can net an almost auto-loss if the killer gets unlucky in these large maps.

It's not a bad perk, but I just don't think it's pivtol to the point where I encounter it in every match.
It's not even a fun perk either Imo.

I encounter it a ton, and it often carries killers. When I run it, most games it carries me by making it easier to find a survivor before a gen has even been touched because I got a lucky spawn. Although I only really run it on Plague because while she's P3, I haven't bothered to get all perks on her yet. Too many millions of BPs when I have other killers I enjoy playing more.

Corrupt can go either way to be honest. It can either:
a) force survivors into the centre of the map and delay that initial rush of generators
or...
b) needlessly elongate the game as experienced survivors will know it's CI straight away and stealth until the 2 minutes or whatever are up.
It's one of those perks that isn't guaranteed to work, but if it does the pay off is pretty big as it puts the killer in a better position earlier on in the match.

Corrupt is fine, if anything. Survivors can just wait the 2 minutes out, or move to the other side of the map and do gens.
It's no Ruin, it's a nice perk.

Maybe we make a perk so survivors can clear things that entity blocks. Once per trial thing. So if you use corrupt I can tell you to hey, not cool and I waste a perk, plus you would know where I would be.

Then there would be no use for Corrupt, as most Killers would probably use Ruin Undying Tinkerer/Discordance and Thanataphobia...
Oh wait Counterforce exists now.
