Deathslinger Is Boring
Dont get me wrong. Im not saying he is OP, he is just too boring to play against. His map pressure and mobility arent good but his 1v1 is way too strong and boring to go against. I think the devs need to do something about boring killers and make them fun to play as and play against. Your skill doesnt really matter against deathslinger he will just fake his shot and if you try to dodge it you will get hit because you will lose distance, and if you go in a straight line and try to make distance he will just shoot you and you will lose all the distance. As I said, think the devs need to do something about boring killers and make them fun to play against.

Being looped for 60+sec also very boring.

Then just go for a different person or patrol gens.

Just rush gens against a Deathslinger, and you can play against a loopable killer

Yeah, I hate him for the same exact reasons. I understand that nowadays Killers need to have some sort of anti-loop as to not get looped for extremely long periods of time but when it becomes the whole focus of the Killer then that's when it becomes unhealthy. They should be fair and balanced like Blight, Oni, and Hillbilly, these Killers have very powerful anti-looping abilities but they give the survivor multiple chances to juke them or outplay them. Despite this they are often considered as some of the most balanced Killers in the game and are also almost always positively received when it comes to fun (playing as and against.)
Killers like Deathslinger, Spirit, Trickster, Nemesis, and others are often negatively received due to survivors finding them extremely unfun and unfair to go up against and Killers suffering in the 1v4 causing them to lose multiple gens despite fast chase times. I for one just can't stand these types of Killers, the most fun part of the game is the chase and when you cause one side to be overly oppressive what do you have in the end? Just mindlessly holding M1 and walking around? That just isn't fun for anyone.

I wish the devs strengthen the killer's 1v4 ability instead of their 1v1s. Chase is the only fun part for a survivor and making killers like twins who down instantly but take loads of time just moving across the map while the survivor has nothing to do but hold M1 is just boring. It's why I like killers like blight.

Im talking about his 1v1 not his 4v1

That's on the killer player. Maybe they should focus on improving their chasing skills?

Survivors should improve their looping skills then?

How do you loop something you can't physically react to

There are definitely things smart survivors can do to give a good slinger a run for their money. It's not an issue to delegate to one side or another, just like playing against a really strong huntress, it takes practice on both sides to make for a more interesting chase experience.

There's not really anything you can do unless you gut the basekit..
Which would piss off alot of Slinger mains like myself cause i already find him fun.
It shouldn't always be based off survivor's Fun.

Difference is even a god huntress has some counter play in a chase. A god slinger is just hoping that he misses

+1

That's not true. Just break line of sight while holding W, learn when to dodge (usually around corners) and predrop pallets, because he can't hit you over them unless they are really unsafe. His projectile is really small, it is not hard to sidestep it.

Deathslinger is boring but he needs that strong 1v1. Otherwise he sucks hard. Because he has no mobility and no great snowball. The other two pinnacles of a strong killer.
1 -
But, Huntress is still stronger though of course.

There are people that play game's like apex, hunt and league that would laugh this statement off. There are players out there who can juke and evade at the drop of a hat. Evo moment #37 demonstrates just how fast we can react to different stimulus. In other games a fast moving projectile evasion is considered a read, in dbd its apparently luck. Really speaks to the kind of people that play dbd vs those who branch off and play more challenging game's.

Yeah she definitely is. Her slugging and basement play puts her up

If you’re consistently dodging his harpoon it’s not you being good it’s the slinger being bad. Any shot outside of 15m is unreactable and this has been tested.
Good slingers will just ads wait for you to dodge and then shoot. If you don’t dodge they just shoot anyway

is not that hard to react to deathslinger
1 -
It is reactable at least with Dead Hard and it is definetly predictable. I am Deathslinger main, so I just side-step when I would shoot at me and it works quite often. You can learn patern, some waits while ads, some try to always shoot asap.

Just learn to make reads and learn when Deathslinger is likely to shoot or not, and mind your positioning.
This argument is already tired, tedious and meaningless. Yes, you can't react to a close range shot from slinger. You don't have to. If youre out in the open you make your movement as unpredictable as possible, it should be a deadly position to be against a ranged killer anyways. If you're at a tile you need to make a read for when he's going to shoot based on how a Slinger player has been playing and how Slinger as a character is supposed to be played. His shots are predictable in a lot of situations and survivors who actually know what they're doing know this. The time frame a slinger has to actually check if you're going to dodge or not is actually very small in a lot of tiles so a slinger player is also constantly making reads on what survivors will do.
Literally just watch slinger mains play and see how they miss their shots and listen to when they explain why they missed. You'll learn exactly what you have to do in a match against that killer.

Right

Let's pretend those games don't have an actual hit detection working in background with much more precise hitboxes too on par to dbd

a problem with that is people find killers with strength in the 4v1 but not in the 1v1 super unfun as well. a prime example of this is hag. lethal trap-setter but sucks ass in chase

Hate the word boring. Usually means "I can't win against this killer nerf" imo. Gunslinger has a chance to miss like many ranged killers. He only has 1 shot and has to reload. Bait the windows, make it hard to shoot by moving around alot, drop pallets early so you get more distance, and don't do obvious plays like jumping through the window which most survivors do. Hes 110%, gen pressure isn't his strength his 1v4 isn't great but 1v1 is. And killers aren't here for your amusement. Go play something else you find "fun" dont bother someone to play for your amusement.

I thought better snowball was another reason.
