Nemesis Buff Thread.
So I'm just going to cut to the chase and say Nemesis' power is horrible for mid-late game. And this is mostly due to the fact that you have to infect survivors multiple times at random periods in the match. This means that any infected survivors can deny you your power in the 1v1. This isn't a terrible thing, though, as it provides counterplay at the risk of not having a chance to recover from infection later. It also punishes your team for playing badly and spamming syringes at the beginning of the match. Because once all 4 syringes are used you're vulnerable to potential tier 3 Nemesis, which is a scary thing. Along with zombies but that's honestly rare that they do anything significant. Essentially my biggest gripe about Nemesis is that tiering up is only beneficial for the range. Outside of that there's no reason to even bother infecting survivors late game. How come my reward for landing hits with my power is to give survivors a third health state and a speed boost?? It makes no sense. In late game scenarios you want to eliminate survivors as quickly as possible. With 1-2 gens left, there is no time to waste. So my proposed buff is simple. Remove the speed burst from infection OR have tier 2 and tier 3 deal damage on the first hit. This makes Nemesis more lethal in chases. Both may seem like small and simple changes, because they are! Doing this would make him more intimidating and fun to play as/against. Weak killers are usually boring to play against, because there's nothing thrilling about the chase. It's just loop by daylight again. Strong, well balanced killers, make the game interesting and less mundane. Keep in mind the "well balanced part". If this buff makes him less enjoyable to interact with then the community will definitely let you know bhvr. Worst case scenario is you have to revert him back to his old state. Which may or may not be extremely taxing for developers already tight schedule, but idk anything about that. Still I hope you consider this from someone who loves having Nemesis in dbd.

I find Nemesis rather well balanced. You should probly only be using his power through windows and pallets and regular hits otherwise.

Only thing he needs is removing the speed boost from infecting survivors and a slight buff to his mutation rate gain while also nerfing the addons accordingly.
Some addon changes to make them more useful would also be great. It's just kinda sad that he doesn't have any really good addons

the devs said they don't want to remove the speed boost because he would be "tOo OpPrEsSiVE" but what they could do is massively increase the hindered status he inflicts with a tentacle whip if the survivor was not infected before. Right now it is 0.25 seconds (+0.15 seconds if you use licker tongue) which is laughable

The speed boost needs to stay.

I wonder what rarity it would be worth if there was an addon that spawned new zombies next to generators exclusively.

I'd like more zombies please

how come?

As a Rank 1 Nemesis camper, I can assure you that he needs no buffs at this time. I'd argue he does not need any nerfs either.
His weaknesses are nothing related to the pace or phase of the game. His two sole weaknesses are survivors who protect their unhooks and his other issue is line of sight; if he and his zombies cannot detect you, he can do nothing to you.

I'm not sure how you can see Nemesis' power as being lackluster mid to late.
Nemesis is weak early when his power has no threat since it can't even break pallets, but as you eventually tier up and gain the ability to break pallets you'll start cleaning up the map very quickly. By late game, vaccines will be exhausted and pallets mostly gone and many window vaults aren't even safe due to his power.
Nemesis can struggle reaching to late game, but if you do manage to snowball he can be very oppressive.

I would also like to know the answer to that. Nemmy will always be a far weaker version of PH so long as the extra speed boost is in place. If PH is widely considered A-tier by the community (strong but balanced), then Nemmy is undertuned in his current state

Huntress is an example of a one-two punch. Throw the hatchet with hindered, melee for the immediate follow up.
If Nemesis tentacle strikes did not speed boost upon contamination, the succeeding tentacle strike(s) would occur too quickly. This would be overbearing for unhooked or already injured survivors. The ole one-two punch is not something that Nemesis needs in his toolkit and he would need to be needed if he could inflict contamination, damage and downs so consistently and so quickly.
Nemesis enjoys a very brief cool down between tentacle strikes; rather than afflict him with more slowdown, it's intuitive to speed the survivors up and give them some chance at a chase. Otherwise Nemesis would be far more oppressive than he is already.

Nemesis > PH

Sorry, I think I should clarify - I'm only talking about the speed boost on the first tentacle hit (when the survivor is not contaminated and takes no damage). I absolutely agree with you that a tentacle hit on an already contaminated survivor should give a speed boost, as it's doing a damage state. It's more an issue of Nemmy giving survivors a free sprint burst with the first tentacle hit, while not really gaining anything (other than he is now allowed to damage survivors with the tentacle). If either the non-contaminated speed boost was removed or the first hit does damage, then I think it'd be fine. As it stands now, Nemmy needs to do an extra 8 health states per game compared to every other killer. Considering a 12 hook game would be 24 health states, an extra 8 on top is A LOT
Hmmmmm... methinks that is a minority opinion about PH vs Nemmy. I wish Nemmy was stronger but I just don't see it

Nemesis has a 2.5 second cooldown for his tentacle strike versus Huntress 2 second cooldown. Also the hindered effect from Nemesis only happens when you deal no damage and just contaminate a survivor.

No clarification needed. I was referring to the first strike as well. Nemesis tentacle strikes should always cause a speed boost to survivor contaminated or not.
