Gen balance

A kick should regress gens be 10% per kick base + regression

It would disincentivize survivors running back to a gen and tapping it to stop regression as regression stops it from being kicked by killer and killers wouldn't feel so inclined to bring gen perks or to camp because they cant contest gens when survivors can stop regression by tapping the gen while passing it on a chase.

pop should stay the same and apply a single 25% reduction to one kick per cooldown before going back to 10%.

and it should take 3 seconds of use to stop a gen regressing for the above reasons i think stopping a gen regressing should take more commitment than a quick pass tap on the use button during a chase.

Thoughts? new enough to the game but do like to theory craft

    It needs to be 1.5% per kick if a survivor touches it before 10 seconds past the next kick goes to 3% maximum per kick until the full 10 seconds has past otherwise 3% per kick will shut it down fast. It solves tappint gens too and is fair.


    10% per kick is too much. It would incentivise gen rushing to a extreme.

    Love the fact someone else believes kicking the gen should do more than just passive regression. :D

    I believe gen rushing is already incventivised to a extreme degree but my perspective comes from people 99ing gens and a single kick of 1.5% not going to put a dent into that. but i can understand the thinking that 10% is too much for a single boot

    Well it's not even that if a generator is left alone for a specific amount of time it should automatically regress, 30 sec - 45 seconds when not within a 5 meters or 8 meters max

    But I am speaking if they tap the gen each kick is woth 1.5-3% if they tap it before 15 seconds then for the next 30 seconds until left alone that long every hit is worth 3% unless they manage to go undetected. If necessary you can even add a 5% repair penalty to speed if they touch it before the full 30 seconds. But Generator rushing isn't my issue as much anymore it's the fact that I literally have to stop using totems as they are completely obsolete and useless of one or even two people are using small game. Why there are other perks for finding totems is beyond me, as this one is the only one needed now.
