I got CJ tech'd by a filthy Jeffery Epstein main, unbelievable. Lol at this point I honestly wouldn't be surprised with anything they've already proven they're dumb enough for this type of scrutiny to be warranted and accepted throughout the entire community, even the people who defend BHVR are fuming, it just leaves you asking How much hotter is this dumpster fire gonna get?

Who are the NFT"s even supposed to appeal to, from BHVR"s end that Boss Protocol thought it'd be a great idea for BHVR to promote them?
Who in their right mind is going to spend $230 and burn down a rain forest in exchange for a chance at getting the a DBD Chapter and a skin that costs what... $15.00 combined? Yeah, it comes with a bunch of other stuff that you allegedly™ own. But nobody from the DBD end of things is going to go "Man, Can't wait to spend $230 and burn down a rain forest to get a chance at getting a DBD Chapter and a skin that I could get for $15.00"

Check any of my recent posts. I was saying it was real. You can't make crazy outlandish claims like "we are partnering with BHVR for Pinhead NFTs" without expecting some serious backlash. Some lies are too big to tell. This one wasn't a lie. You don't have to be a genius to see that

If you ask me, it's likely for 1 of 2 reasons
Either they've been told not to respond to these threads, likely because they think it'll be like pouring gasoline on the situation
Or they have nothing to say, because it's out of their hands. They can't say much apart from "We're sorry you feel this way" or something akin to that.
Maybe both but that's my guess.

You get an NFT of a pig nerf. It's like an actual pig nerf, but completely worthless and meaningless in reality!
He left in August or so I believe? He was a programmer, so it's entirely possible he was left out of any conversations about the NFT deal, but the alternative explanation is that the entire NFT deal happened in the time between August and now, which would be ~2.5 months.
Either the entire deal was super rushed (seems unlikely to me to be honest) - or a lot of the people working at BHVR likely didn't know about this deal and are only finding out about it now or have found out rather recently.

So yeah this NFT stuff. I can barely believe it honestly. Outside of dbd Twitter getting hacked I don’t see any way of them saving face here. This isn’t my first time being disappointed in BHVR but this is probably the last time since if this is real I’m done. Which is a shame too because I really did think this next chapter would be cool. I don’t know if it’s just me but it almost feels personal this time. We’ve known about this for awhile but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and said it was a rumor or a scam. And a few days ago BHVR supposedly addressed our fears and confirmed it was fake. Only to just a few days later basically just say “just kidding lol” I understand not everything makes the cut that you promised and I can deal with bugs. But when you just blatantly lie it feels like a punch to the gut. I’m honestly so disappointed right now. And unless this is confirmed to all be an elaborate scam I’m done for good.

As far as I saw, many people believed that to be some form of troll or what not. You are right that it seems quite ridiculous to make such a claim, but on the other hand it also seemed pretty ridiculous that BHVR would actually do something stupid like this.
My main point was just, there's a difference between assuming and knowing.

There is also a very high chance they didn't know about it until very recently and are waiting for an official response from management that they can post. Threads are being merged into this one, so someone is reading the forums. I think it's pretty normal that no one has responded yet.

To be fair- in any outcome here Park Ave and Boss Protocol did all the heavy lifting, so to speak, so it's entirely possible the majority of BHVR didn't know about this until the last minute.
Not saying that is what happened, I don't want to extend that much goodwill assumption without evidence, but it's a possibility and I don't like leaping to conclusions, personally.

When your game is potentially in a position to be removed from an entire platform right before an event is about to start with new paid content and cosmetics dropping it's your responsibility to inform people hey we're moving platforms, before they go and spend money on something thats about to be ripped from them that's pretty much theft at that point and imagine how much at once it would be with everyone on the steam platform buying the new chapter

Of all the things to unite the differing sides of DBD's community ill be honest in saying I wasn't expecting NFT's to be the thing to do it. I'm here for it and am eager to see how bhvr will deal with this ######### show. Also ######### NFT's

To be fair this really doesn't surprise me at all, BHVR charges more money for skins then their own new content, and then jumped on the battle pass train, NFTs are "popular" right now so it's the logical next step.
Doesn't excuse their actions at all but I would be lying if I said this is a shock.
Also very excited to see how they respond to the truck load of backlash they're gonna get over the next week.

I gotta say, my expectations for BHVR were low, but holy #########.
Getting involved with NFscamTs, lying about it, doing a 180 in a matter of days, risking getting banned from steam a day before a new dlc and with an upcoming event. Pretty good job so far, frankly.
Anyway, on to more joyful and light subjects.
Uninstalling right now. Any suggestions for other games to play?

I'm enjoying Friday The 13th on ps4. It might be a bit buggy but it's really fun. Other games I've been enjoying were Superhot and The Forest

Totally different game but I will always shout out Tales of Maj'Eyal when given the chance. Full size roguelike (so 9-12 hours to win once) with over 20 classes and more than a dozen races, four campaigns, 9 difficulty settings, and a super friendly community. Only about 300 playing at peak times and I genuinely think that's criminally low. It's a great one and I look forward to it no longer competing with DbD in my most played games list.

Before I go off, sorry in advance to all the individual staff who weren't involved in these decisions - my advice? Quit. Higher-ups and decision-makers never learn lessons after they screw their staff over. They always, always double down. Now, uh, for the higher-ups and decision makers, here's your message:
When I saw that Stranger Things was being removed, and when I saw the Pinhead voiceline drama, I thought: "Wow! It really seems like whoever's in charge of making licensing deals at Behaviour doesn't have a single clue what they're doing!"
Well, unfortunately, despite struggling all this time to believe that you were just trying to do your best... I was right, I guess. "Having to do this ######### finance scam bullshit to get a character" wasn't worth it. You should have known better.
When you'd been bothered about accessibility features for so long without saying a single word? You whined about it and said "People need to trust us, these things take time."
Reasonable, right?
But now you say "we've spent months working on NFTs" and we still don't have accessibility features? Wow! Thanks for saying we needed to trust you! I'm sorry, but you've done literally everything in your power to be untrustworthy!
I am uninstalling Dead By Daylight and putting a refund request in on steam. I'm sorry I ever defended you, saying "balance decisions are hard", yadda yadda, when after all this time it turns out the people in charge really do care more about jerking off for the finance crowd than making a functioning game.
Thanks for wasting my time. I'm ashamed that you're a Canadian company. It is taking every ounce of my willpower to not say something even less polite at the end of this post.

I've always been a huge lover of Dbd, for the longest time I tried understanding them (at times).
But this, this is hard to understand and I'm shocked they would even think this is okay.
