Boon: No One Devours Hope
Press and hold the Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem. Soft chimes ring out in a 24 meter range.
Any Survivors within the Boon Totem's range with the Exposed status effect will be granted the Endurance status effect. Survivors in the Deep Wounds state wil be put into the dying state when hit.
You can only bless one Totem at a time. All equipped boon perks are active on your Boon Totem.

Surviors in the Deep Wounds state already go into the dying state when hit

so a 110% terror radius worth of zone where myers/ghostface/all exposed perks+addons get completely screwed? don't know about that one
5 -
Then just do bones and get rid of it...
0 -
so an unlucky t3 myers should have their entire t3 blown on injuring someone with a yellow bar and then have to drop chase to wander around whatever sound-obscuring building like the asylum the blue totem that he didn't know was there to punt it and have it relit shortly after he leaves the building, to then go on and probably lose the game all because you're a potato that can't handle noed and its 0 to 4 but likely 1-2 instadowns
6 -
Weird how this only works on some one-shotters but not others.

Would be better if it was something like the next hit that would put you from the healthy state to the dying state will instead make you injured but with a deep wound
This way the survivor can't use it to have 3 health states and have to be healthy in order for it to work, also wound be a good counter to NOED
2 -
Beyond stupid
2 -
that sounds way to op the game is already too survivor sided it doesn't need another broken survivor perk
5 -
Especially not YET ANOTHER second chance perk (or triple or quadruple, since it's a boon that can be reapplied over and over, or on multiple totems if more than one survivor brings it)
1 -
Fine but no other boons can be used when this one is in play. This one will deactivate all other boons.

Whats next flying surviver. 🤣🤣🤣Screw that you want that use mettle of man. Balanced

Without that stipulation, an exposed survivor would never go into the dying state because if they're constantly exposed then they're constantly hardened.
It's supposed to behave like Bazzajack described it. "The next hit that would put you from the healthy state into the dying state will instead make you injured with a deep wound."

Oh, but it's fine if survivors are unlucky in cleansing Devour Hope and end up giving it more and more stacks by being out in the open looking for it while exposed, just to get morid. "Just do bones LuLzzz..."
0 -
chad yes, absolutely and unironically
if you get rolled by a 5-stack devour and the killer wasn't hard proxycamping it (i.e. it's the only totem else they don't know where it is) then your team probably just wanted to push gens even when 3-stack was revealed which is almost always loss unless literally on last gen
i.e. potatoes

I would cleanse your totem but it appears to be in a deliberately chosen uncleansable position. Its also relit multiple times.
Meanwhile my hex totem spawned in the middle of the map out in the open and I cant relight it. If you compare a boon totem to a hex totem, boon totems are clearly superior as the relight clause gives consistent value and the effects are significantly more powerful then hexes which often requires the totem to not randomly spawn in an obvious location to fufill conditions to get value from them.
Dh, huntress lullaby etc. Is not even close to the immediate value of circle of healing and shadowstep. You dont even have to earn its activation unlike dh where it promotes leaving the hook and building up 5 hooks for moris whilst also trying to defend it.
Also again reiterating some totem locations are uncleansable. Because the devs didnt account for killers size when implementing cleanse range of totems.

So it's only okay if it's in the Killer's favor... Got it

3+ hook saves outside a radius (i.e. survivors don't hookbomb you which completely and utterly dunks devour hope) and not having your hex ganked in the meantime and then turning the instadown pressure into a game-swinging moment while keeping it up and trying to get to 5 and put a nail in the game's coffin
at what point is it okay for a killer perk to do something in the killer's favour when it could be sniped at any moment with your back turned or gone immediately at the start of the match if someone spawns on it, exactly? so embarrassing
0 -
So you're mad that the survivors took your advice and "did bones" 😂
0 -
no, most of my survivors genrush and get clapped by devour when i run it, or trigger haunted grounds when they spawn on a hex because of course you gank a hex when you spawn on it or it's visible from the first gen you find
how would it feel for you if killer basekit had one of your perks disabled from the start of the match though just hypothetically
'cause i get the feeling you might have a bit of a survivor biased mentality about this game
just a slight, slight feeling

Yeah nerf Myers and Ghostface, they really need this.
0 -
Myers and Ghostface have feet. They can stomp on totems. I don't see the problem
0 -
Holly crap killers don't have the time for that, survivors have to get this into their head.
Also as killer I don't hear the boon totem until i'm 2 meters away from it, that is BS
1 -
We would...But given that most totem spots were never designed for a killer to interact with there's a massive amount of unbreakable bones for the killer.
Nothing screams fair like an unbreakable totems...
