SBMM doesn't seem to work as intended

When i play solo q survivor, once in a while, i get good teammates and the killer can't do much. The other times (most of the times then), i feel stuck at low mmr because i die "since my team get demolished by the killer". I'm able to deal with the killer in most cases, but not my teammates who goes down in seconds; what put me in a disadvantage.

When i play killer its the opposite, i get demolished once in a while by god survivors... then i'm paired up (very often) with 10 hours experience survivors (when i have 3000 hours; that doesn't feel logical to me).

It really feels like the sbmm system puts you against the two extremes with no in-between.

That seems to be the normal experience that everyone is getting. MMR increases and decreases by absurdly high amounts, meaning that you will constantly be flip-flopping between high and low MMR.

I love playing DbD, but I'm taking a break until SBMM is reverted or replaced.

Same experience, this artificial balance really sucks the fun out of the game.

Same experience here. Only god-loopers or new players who run arround with no plan. Nothing in between out there.

Mismatches aren’t necessarily due to the ratings being off, it can also happen for a couple other reasons that can’t be avoided

    • If a player or swf has already been in queue a long time they get matched up with the next available opponent. Because outlier high rated players have fewer close matches to choose from this “next available” match happens more often for them than average rated killers.
    • Swfs also often have high rated players combined with their lower rated friends, leading to mismatches where you have high rated and low rated people on the same team and a killer maybe in between them.

Even if matchmaking was 100% accurate the above would still be issues.

The matchmaking I get feels like when during rank matchmaking it would be rainbow ranks - teammates feel like mix of brand new and veteran while killer can go either way. I really wish they'd include more than just kills/escapes.
