They are trying Myers for the first time maybe and returning player? It still takes into account your overall mmr if I'm correct so it won't be low if that is the case.

But (big one) this can also happen if you are completely new to the game or never played killer. I saw it with my own eyes when I afked as killer on my surv account for a few games. Last second switchers, map offerings and purple perks even tho I played killer only once on that account.

    System is bad.

    Also not enough killers.

Did you have a killer dodge your lobby?

SBMM is pretty bad no matter what, and if queues are long then the range will keep expanding until it finds someone to fill the lobby. However, if a killer dodges a lobby, then I think the system goes into a panic mode and is like, "Ohmigod, these survivors need a killer NOW!" and it ditches any cares about matchmaking ranks, sticking in a killer as fast as possible.

    Pretty sure it's not skill-based matchmaking, it's whoever-has-waited-the-longest matchmaking.

The system works like a meat grinder. They don't want to keep paying customers waiting to long so eventually the mmr opens up and throws the next available killer to the wolves no matter what level they are.

Killers are matched anywhere regardless if their mmr is low.

Weekend nights are bonkers - I'll go from a 3man TTV SWF with 6000 hours between them to a full lineup of newbies with 8 hours a piece.

It's probably a matter of too many survivors on at once.

Just got out of a solo queue game 4 man Escape against a ranked one spirit she got two hooks. And yes I know rank dont matter so I'm not sure why I said it.....oh to point out wasnt new but could have been new to spirit.

I wasn't paying attention but that does kinda make sense and sound possible, when a killer dodges you get a new one pretty fast.

    Just bad.

    Always has been.

It seems to be at times where there are either very few people playing or too many - this seems to increase the delta between survivor and killer numbers and all sorts of shenanigans start to happen.

It's why weekday mornings and weekend evenings (too few people and too many respectively) are where the absolutely bizarre matches happen. Weekday evenings and weekend mornings are actually pretty reasonable for the most part.

It’s bad, very bad. Old grade system at least can ensure you this kind of silly mistakes won’t happen
