You have officially made this game unbearable to play with the addition of mmr to matchmaking. It is so unfun to play killer at any rank because as soon as you have one good game you might as well never play killer again because your life will be miserable. I guess the game is really only balanced around survivor gameplay because if you spent 5 minutes playing killer you would realize that the game is so unbalanced for killers. I guess you guys just don't care to attempt to make the game balanced at all and just want survivors to have fun. Since mmr was added i get one game that i have fun playing to every 50 because 1 4k games i guess in mmr translates to you had your fun now just be miserable for the next 20 hours. Maybe to add a little balance to the game you could give the killer of 2 or 3 perks that survivors can;t use for that game because its gets really frustrating at endgame seeing every survivor have iron will, ds, deadhard or sprint burst and borrowed time. The game has never been in a worse state than what it is now. I sincerely hope you are happy with ruining your game

What I notice with mmr as Killer once I roflstomp for an ez 4k, the very next game the survivors roflstomp me for an ez 4 escape. It's literally a back and forth cycle.

Im not a killer main. I used to play killer and survivor pretty evenly but anymore i dont want to play killer because it isnt fun. And based off your reply I can only assume that you only play survivor

It’s not toxic to tunnel or camp, only whiny crybaby survivor mains complain about it because they’re just bad at this game.
This forum is riddled with crybaby survivors who can’t handle loss and have to blame their opponents for their own shortcomings.

I play for BP and for the chases. Kills are not my primary goal. That just happens naturally if I made good choices or if survivors made a mistake. It usually works out and it is a less stressful way to enjoy the killer role.

Oke so from killer main to killer main tell me our honest opinion what can a survivor do to "get better" if you want them dead sooner or later you will catch the survivor and if you the face camp and tunnel of hook there is no getting better. And I don't say there aren't situations where tunneling or even camping isn't a OK tactic and justified

I think it's more instead of being able to have the two sides on equal playing fields mmr matches you up with people who might have the same grade as you or it will match you with higher grades which in terms equals everyone using meta perks.

Considering the population is 1 killer for every 4 survivors, I'd say it's filled with entitled survivor mains more than killers.

I’m never have and never will be a killer main. I’ve always been a survivor main since I’ve started this game. I go so far as to role play when I’m in a trial.
There are plenty of things survivors can do to get better. First they can have situational awareness and pay attention to their surroundings so they don’t get caught in a dead zone. They can learn how to loop efficiently and chain tiles together. They can learn how to break LOS and evade the killer and they can use one, if not more, of their second chance perks that can reset a chase.
If a survivor goes gets hooked before two gens are done, that’s on them and their teammates. The game provides plenty of things that you can use to waste the killers time. Heck, I’m terrible at looping and prefer stealth yet, I’m able to buy enough time at the start of the match to get two gens done just by running across the map, away from my teammates. and pre dropping a couple of pallets.
Barring all that, your teammates can actually come in and take aggro by blinding the killer and make scratch marks in order for you to get away. They can also body block and sabotage hooks to prevent kills.
This isn’t a 1vs1 game. The killer should always have the advantage against a lone survivor, and just because tunneling and camping may seem like the “easy” choice, it’s only as easy as the survivors allow them to be.

But you said if someone is upset because of tunneling and camping they do it cause they are bad. Even if face the top tier survivors I get atleast one down doesn't matter if it takes one or four gens and when I have you on the hook and decide to face camp you are screwed and there is nothing you can get better at to prevent it or do you really want to say survs just need to advance to a level where they don't ever go down

Its a 1 vs 4 game, you are not entitled to have an easy escape and not die on first hook. The only thing you’re entitled to is to have a chance at escape, which the game provides plenty of.
Not everyone who complains about tunneling and camping are bad, some are just entitled because they think the have some inherent right to dictate how the killer should play and if the killer doesn’t, they’re somehow the bad player.
Just like killers aren’t entitled to a 4k every game, survivors aren’t entitled to escape. Looping the killer well or holding M1 at a gen doesn’t entitle anyone a win, the only thing that entitles them a win is passing through the exit gates.
You can argue that getting tunneled and camped are not fun, and I would agree, but they’re an inherent part of the game, just as looping the killer around the same structure three times, the chaining the loop to another near by structure only to then use Dead Hard to loop even more, isn’t really fun for killers.
Finally, if you caught and camped a top tier survivor, that is your right and you earned that kill. You invested the time in the chase, caught them and gave up pressure on their teammates. I would call that a fair trade.

SBMMR isn´t the problem. It actually just shows what veterans have been saying for years: the game is as survivor sided as it gets.
So getting rid of SBMMR wouldn´t solve the problem, it would just mask the issue, like it did for years.

The camping and tunneling increased for a bunch of reasons. Mostly because of survivors bullying killers and idk something called bboons. Yes survivors bully killers. I hear so many survivors talking about it and their bully builds etc. Survivors want to create imaginary rules and impose them on killers but dont give back any kinds of "respect". Survivors have earned what's been happening. Point blank

Probably because, before SBMM, you'd have one or two people running another combination of perks. If you were lucky, somebody was memeing, or trying an interesting build. While the meta was still the meta, it's just the only thing you run into now at high ranks, with all four survivors running near identical builds. You'll have somebody running a boon now to spice things up.

Lol no, even in games where everyone is playing solo and no one is "bullying" (whatever that means these days) the killer, there is a lot of tunneling and camping.
Everything is "bullying" for some of you these days. Looping? Toxic. Dead Hard? Toxic. Boons? Toxic. Flashlights? Toxic. SWF? Toxic.

The fact that people actually think you can just generalize mains of a certain role and then say one side is much worse than the other is so hilarious to me.
Both sides have their toxic, entitled players. And both sides can have hypocrites as well.

There is no such thing as a fun casual match any more.

I've been improving my camping and tunnelling skills because of Boons. I haven't been this "toxic" since the original Mettle of Man.
MMR isn't even on the radar for me. Matches as killer don't feel any different from the old system. It's the same old SWF, same meta perks, same lightning speed generators. At least the fast queue times make dodging easy.

You are mostly right with your assertion.
What always gets me thinking, and which I talked every now and then about here in the forum:
Killers are often more altruistic then the survivors. When a killer gets the ball rolling and totally stomps the enemy team, they might feel pitty for the survivors and give the last one the hatch. Or they might meme around and carry the last two slugs to the exit game.
But the hight of altruism a killer can expect is not to get BM or that the survs leave in a timely manner. Only once did I get a pitty hook from a survivor and I guess the concept is pretty alien to most, even though I would guess that everyone experienced a hatch gift every now and then.
And then you got this killer destroying swf groups that are hellbend on making the killers experience as miserable as possible. Oh well, I don't want to get rambling again, but I guess that more killers show empathy for the other side then the other way around.

Its more, every game has become that rather than it being around for years. Without mmr I saw FAR more perk diversity than what is with meta today.

You're remembering wrong and I see no difference. When I left a year and a half ago and came back when MMR got implemented I didn't even notice. Actually meta even changed with the addition of boons. Still meta though but not the usual 4 meta perks.

Straight up. The game was not designed for SWF, it is not balanced for SWF, and every time something gets nerfed or buffed to make solo play better, SWF profits far, far more than solos.
They don't want to put limits on SWF and they don't want to buff solos with something that SWF doesn't also get, but they're plenty happy to knock down killers to help solos even if it means that SWF just walks all over them.
And, based on the last date they shared from a year or two ago, over 50% of games have at least 2 people in a SWF group. It's a systemic problem and the Devs are happy to just pretend it doesn't exist.

On a more serious note, my escape rate as solo survivor has never been higher. Of course, my perception of the game might greatly vary from everyone elses. But, for example. When Otz played survivor. His escape rate was also drastically higher than what most people claim.
Maybe survivor just isn´t as hard anymore.

Go ahead and quote me. I hate tunneling and camping, butI know it’s part of the game. I do hope we get a fix for facecamping, though. Survivor is harder than it used to be... We have less pallets, nerf to toolboxes, anti loop killers, etc. Killer has definitely gotten easier over the years. The game is far from perfect, but it’s definitely more balanced than people want to claim.

The implementation of mmr is exactly what has made me stop playing the whole game.
I was already sceptical about it when they first talked about it but went into it with an open mind.
But soon found out that it was exactly as bad as i thought it would be.
The higher you get the more you need to sweat to secure some kills.
Now don't get me wrong as i don't mind sweat games at all, but game after game after game is getting annoying.
Sure the old matchmaking wasn't perfect but at least there was a mix of chill games and sweat games and anything in between.
Till a few months i to the mmr i was playing both sides, but after a while and only getting sweat games i switched to survivor only.
Sure it was fun for a bit but only playing that just isn't something for me.
I want to play both sides and all killers and not have sweat games as killer and chill games as survivor.
Yes there are some games as survivor where i had to try just a little harder, but that wasn't every match and it wasn't sweaty games.
Long story short, the implementation of sbmm/mmr was good on paper but a bad idea in practice and should never have been put into this game

We got a fix for facecamping years ago (swivel hooks).
Killer has gotten easier on some points, but harder on others. Killers getting their first hook by the time survivors completed 3 gens wasn´t a widespread phenomenon until recently. Despite toolboxes and BNPs getting nerfed. Survivors just learned that holding m1 is the most effective strategy.

Im a good killer and your statement isn't that true. All it takes is 2 people running every boon to make a match seem impossible. The game is survivor sided. Always will be. More survivors play. Killers get compleatly gutted because survivors will show their frustrations online. More then likely because they dont want to learn new strategies etc

Game needs to be balanced around hooks, not kills. Someone who got 2 hooks but killed those 2 survivors with it, looks balanced on the stats, when the game wasn´t balanced at all.
Never said kill streaks are a sign of being balanced. But people take things from over a year ago, when they claim that killers are currently OP. The end of kill streaks just proves this. Oh and since you ask, some of those streamers are doing escape streaks. Even after the sbmmr started. Balanced, huh?

Where in my comments did I say killers are OP tho? I don't believe anything is "OP" in the game, besides some perks who need adjustments and some maps.
I find it funny that a week ago there was a thread where everyone was saying we shouldnt balance the game around streamers because Otz said playing killer wasn't as bad as everyone says, but now people agree with him again. Curious.

Well i dont see killers saying they're running a bully build. Because the "bullying" people reference isn't in the perks it's in the actions of survivors. Perks help with this. I don't think any perks are "bullying" etc. Run whatever perks ya want. A simple google/YouTube search shows a plethora of "bully builds"
