Small hex buff / rework
I think that hex totems should be seen as dull totems by survivors. For the survivors to see the totem lit they would have to search for a clue or something for 1 or secs. If the survivor doesn't want to search for the value they can cleanse random dull totems to remove it . I mainly thought of it so hex totems don't get immediately cleansed and have some value.

Hex is not meant to be hidden. It's a high risk high reward mechanic. They're powerful but can be taken out of the game once found.
Though totem placement is smth I totally agree in changing/buffing for killers, simply making them look like dull totems will bring more harm than good.
Imagine it, all 4 survivors each cleansing dull totems they come across just to make sure one of them is a hidden hex. That would reduce the overall totems effectiveness i.e. Undying and also ruin the chances of NOED going off at end game.
Be careful what you wish for.

totems should definitely get a blanket buff (running totems without undying is a joke in 9/10 games lmfao), but i don't like that idea. maybe in perk form with some kind of activation condition, but by base i think there are other reasonable solutions.

Just make it so the Hex only appears after two minutes into the game. There's no reason why killers should lose an entire perk slot after barely loading into the match.
The situation is so stupid now that there's no other reason to run any other Hex that isn't Ruin or Devour. I really wanted to test that Blood Favour buff that happened in Mikaela's patch, but after losing it without even getting value once FIVE matches in a row I just dumped it into the trash just like the other Hexes.

A good portion of the hex perks do not feel like high reward for high risk

but from my pov people dont cleanse dull totems for no reason ( unless they got a perk) so it would be helpful to hexes that require tokens or ones that are not obvious like ruin. I would agree about the high risk high reward but survivors have boons that can be relit.

I wouldn't say that boons and hexes are on the same power level... Boons are limited to a confined space while hexes are global, so on that note I can understand why boons are allowed to be relit. But I think the range on Boons should be reduced. 24 meters is just too much, especially if there's more than one boon. Maybe 18 would be fine.
Hexes should remain the same (except for their placements. Those need buffs). With other hexes like Undying, you have backup totems all the time.
