You guys really went to town on slinger eh
Slow to walk
Slow to aim
32 m terror radius
Just wow. I know he needed some tweaks with the quick scoping into a hit but man you really just pile drived him into the ground eh.
His aim is so slow, survivors can round a corner and break line of sight while you raise the gun, you have to be right on top of them for a good shot or its just too slow and by that point you might as well just swing.
I know its early days but he has been seriously overtuned. I'm hanging up my spurs on him till there is a fix because frankly its not good its just slow on all fronts.

you have to be right on top of them
That doesn't really work, because of his slow turning speed while ADS. It's quite hard to shoot them, if they start to dodge.

That's why I say by that point its better to just swing. Haven't played against him since the changes so thought I'd give him a go tonight after a few games he just feels so clunky.
Something is seriously missing, I'm not adverse to change but it has to be change for the better and this isn't it.
I m1'd most people to death the gun was more of an after thought used very sparingly.

Well, we will se if they will give him anything back in future, or we have Billy / Freddy 2.0
There is quite a lot of complains about his changes, so there is always chance, small tho.

Hes never been OP and now just a trash, I think dev hated him for some reason.

He definitely needed some work but what they did to him made it seem like someone at bhvr had a personal vendetta against the poor cowboy. Just flat out netfing an already not top pick killer without giving him any kind of buffs in other areas was just straight dirty.

They did buff him.
Problem is buffing his ADS movement speed was bad idea anyway, because fake ADS is still viable because of that. Well, it is needed anyway with those changes.
Then they buffed his break chain recovery, which feels good. Problem is that it's just nothing compare with nerfs he got.

Slinger would need something to give him either information or pressure. Sadly non of those things happened and now he just feels clunky and unfun to play as. And this is a problem: People would have less of an issue with the Killer if he was weak but fun to play.
Look at Twins and you see where this leads: Twins are a "strong" Killer. They can get downs, they can snowball and much more. However they are just so clunky that nobody has fun with them...
Now for Slinger you need some kind of "feel good" compensation. As an example would be that the Old Boy gets more range then longer he holds ADS.
However sooner or later you have to address his lack of map presence...he is now a 110% Killer who lacks mobility and has no other way to apply pressure...sad...

Deathslinger is in a really sad state at the moment, everything he does is extremely slow and good skillful shots are not guaranteed downs like with other Killers.
They need to do a compromise, reduce his Terror Radius to 20 metres like the Huntress has, but give him a 28 meter non-directional lullaby. That was one of his main issues, Survivors not getting enough or no time to react to his approach, am I right?
His reloading speed should be slightly increased along with reducing the miss shot penalty, also all of these actions should have increased movement speed to somewhere between 90 - 100% or 3.6 - 4.0m/s.

Tbh I forgot they even buffed that aspect of his kit he wasn't my main and I haven't played since before they nerfed him. So I can only go off what people who do still play say and what I see his gameplay through somewhat else's gameplay and he looks horrible to play personally.
His chain breaking was almost never a problem for me when I did play him for a bit before his nerf so that being his buff to compensate for the nerfs he got, which I Don't even completely disagree with, feels like more of a slap in the face.

I remember when one of the mods said they would be listening to feedback and funny enough they did. They nerfed the ms increase addon whilst aimming to mittigate the increased zoning deathslinger players were doing.
They of course kept the ads as is because its clear there objective was to push slinger out of viability to jam there new ranged killers down our spine. If they really wanted slinger to be in a better state they wouldnt have half assed his changes and left him in such a miserable state. Look at the store page for chains of hate its a a disaster. Which is sad because it originally was a well recieved chapter. Its straight vandalism what they did.

2 games as the newly nerfed Deathslinger was enough to make me hang up the cowboy hat until further notice. He's just so bad now. Slow ADS is just clunky and the Terror Radius nerf made a lot of the more fun and interesting loadouts not work anymore. Honestly the man just... doesn't have a niche anymore. I honestly can't think of a reason to play him over the rest of the cast.

I've been playing Slinger with Distressing lately after the nerf, and I've noticed that people get very confused A LOT. I tend to catch people off-guard more than I would with a smaller terror radius. I might be low MMR, but it's worth a shot.
I run Distressing, Coulrophobia, Nurse's Calling, and either Infectious Fright or Dark Devotion. Very fun stuff.

I've been trying but the mechanic itself is just so clunky and the speed increase while aiming really doesn't add much. I'm not sure I'll fin da build that really works because the faults are at base level, when you are running perks just to counter the faults it isn't saying much.

Totally agree bro... i try to play with him and... Damn man... What a pain...

Actually he was OP bro when he could aim fast but since baby survivors start crying the devs well you all know right...
