with the current boon meta there's no reasons for undying to not go back to it's original glory
Survivors that use boon perks always boon the hex instead of breaking it, if undying would go back the way it was they would need to break the hexes to make sure the hex be gone forever, if they boon every time it might take them way more attempts and take them way more time, forcing them to break the totems will reduce their ability to set boons everywhere there's a totem and allow killers to use hexes perk again since tbh they nearly always spawn directly on a gen making them useless.

I do not like fighting something wrong with some other things that has proven being wrong.

Yes there is. Old Undying was ridiculous. Boons aren’t.

I think Otz actually talked about this once: If one side has something broken, that's not an excuse for the other side to have something else broken in return. It creates a scenario where you're going to bring undying to counter boons, but if they don't bring any boons they're just going to have a horrible time, and if they bring boons and you don't bring undying then you're not going to have too much fun either.
So instead of bringing back old undying, why not just nerf boons directly or improve totem spawns?

I saw that part talking about it, while I understand his points, I still think it should return for now at least

I'd rather nerf boons than justify them with a meta of absurdly powerful or obnoxious things. That just makes running the absurdly powerful things mandatory.

I mean just do bones? it's not like you have to break infinite amount of totems unlike boon.
1 -
Man, what's the point, just nerf CoH, boom done easy the game is now 7% more balanced.
3 -
Lmao, original undying would be an actual counter to boons. Can't have that at all can we?
1 -
Old Undying was a problem. You don't fix current problems by bringing back old ones.
Also, I don't see how old Undying would actually help? Wouldn't it still require there be dulls to bounce to, which there's less likely to be if everyone's blessing?
And if not everyone is blessing, then just current Undying will help protect your hex from the guy who is...?

I don't understand what one has to do with the other. One broken perk means there should be another? That's bad balance philosophy.

With old undying survivors could have to do up to 5 totems just to get rid of Ruin.
Because this is RUIN we are talking about, a lot of progress on gens will be undone. And during the time that the survivors are doing bones, the killer can find them.
This is made easy by the fact that undying shows you the auras of survivors near dull totems.

broken mechanics do not fix broken mechanics

doesn't negative + negative makes it positive?
i'm joking but that's true, I just think for NOW it should until CoH is fixed
0 -
COH could be slightly reworked (e.g. defined max cap healing speed) ... but the potential need to destroy all 5 totems on indoor maps to remove either Ruin or Devour is not comparable in any way to current boons.

I mean that's like just 1+ gens time-wise, much much less with appropriate perks.
I don't think cleansing 5 totems would be much of a problem.

It is a problem, if you're running ruin and undying. And it's not like survivors don't have to look for totems in the first place.
Sure, totem spawns are crap, but that's an entirely different conversation.

Just do bones and do gens afterwards, it's not a longer slowdown than corrupt intervention.
1 -
Wasn't anything wrong with old undying, booners would actually have to focus on the hexes and bless dulls first to limit the respawning.

4*

5: They could cleanse ruin 3 times, THEN cleanse undying, THEN finally get rid of ruin.

Its weird how survivors say we want a secondary objective because game boring outside of chases old undying gave a secondary objective and then it got nerfed to what it is now. Boons are just old undying
0 -
People who ask for a second objective are really just saying that they want doing gens to be more interactive.
They don't want something that can actively punish you for doing it and makes the game literally unwinnable for not doing it. But that's the situation that Old Undying created.
Also, doing bones has always been a thing. Old Undying just made it a headache.

Oh yeah true, but this only has a 3.125% chance of happening, less than a self unhook
