Blight takes NO Skill

So we can look forward to more nurse buffs coming, nice.

How can y'all even say that? He does have a complex ability. Needing to bump to hit people, understanding how hard you can turn, baiting out Dead Hard, etc.
5 -
If they nerfed his number of slams and have more cooldown after using it as well. He can make so many mistakes and not punished.
2 -
Actually getting afar as is is biggest punishment for him.
1 -
I agree with increasing the cooldown after a slam, but not for reducing the total number.

It proves the thread is wrong about him taking no skill, that's for certain. You need to know the maps inside and out to do well as blight, and then have strong mechanical skills on top of it.
Your average DbD killer probably doesn't even play this game that long to ever develop that level of knowledge. DBD is is League of Legends if League balanced around silver elo. But then they put in MMR and left Platinum+ a total mess.

compound 33 and Ring doesnt take any skill. base kit blight takes a lot of skill, thats why i agree with nerfing alchecringe ring and compound 33, potntially double speed blight could get tweak down.

Yep. We all laughing about it :)

I'd say ignoring collision when there should be collision is also an exploit

Blight is well balanced. That build is fine, i used to run it on Nurse sometimes (Surveillance - Tinkerer - Ruin - Undying) and actual good teams knows how to work around it. It is only a problem to uncoordinated teams and to avg and below avg SoloQ players. And don't throw the SoloQ argument at me, this game ain't only SoloQ, and the Killer ain't there to baby sit a player just because he's a SoloQ, get over it.
Killer that can abuse the game mechanics as well, im talking about that mouse DPI
Using DPI ain't an exploit and not abusing, but if you want then coms are an exploit too.
Getting clapped by a good killer with good build that you don't like isn't a reason for it being nerfed to your level. Take a deep breath and accept that you're not as good as you think you are, there's no shame in it, accept it and work on getting better rather than getting tilted.
Nurse and Blight will have it hard against equally good opponents. But sadly you only view it as ( Good Nurse/Blight Vs average Survivor ) instead of using equal sides, therefore you think they are unstoppable.
Here is Ayrun having it hard against only one tourny player https://youtu.be/6Z-vk9tQ4J8
Your other comments shows that you're far from being a good player thinking that clown is OP and only low tier killers are fair. So hopefully you will learn more and feel comfortable taking on competent killers and not just fodders.
And i still hold my stance, this is a skill issue and not balancing issue.
Anyway don't expect another reply from me, i'm not active much. Cheers

Yeah, this whole thread is pretty absurd. Blight and Nurse have high skill floors, for sure. Many of the best killer mains out there will agree, but some salty surv main is going make a compelling case to the contrary? Yeah, no. Blight has some op add ons, but to say he takes "no skill" is high comedy.
Some people just can't cope with killers who make them do anything but basic looping, and get bent all the way out of shape when they get owned a few times.
Every killer has a counter, but for some loping isn't it, and mediocre survs can't cope. That's really the bottom line here.

So BHVR reworks, what, 2 killers a year? And at least half of them end up being net nerfs. So by chapter 50 or so, maybe we'll have 5 killers at the same power level as the top 2. Good luck with that plan.
Much easier to say "hmm this window is a guaranteed 30 seconds of holding W for 80% of the killers. Let's put some boards over that or a breakable wall."
We've already had the multiple Spirit nerfs recently. If they were intent on buffing killers to current top survivor power, those wouldn't have happened.
"Hug Tech" was confirmed as a bug. Patching that out would be a good start. A better move would be fixing his stupidly oversized hitbox so you can actually stand a chance of juking it. And then knock down some of the broken add ons like, well, half of them.

I've been a killer main since I started and blight is by far the most fair killer I have played, you feel rewarded for doing it right but you have counterplay in a way that a survivor with +15hr in the game can play around it and both sides have to work their best to win a game
Some of his addons are kinda busted (alchemist ring) but if you say that blight is braindead its clear that you dont play it
1 -
Probably because he doesnt want to play killers that make the game boring for survivors. You dont even need to play Blight to realize that he is overpowered. Just play against a High MMR Blight who abuses the game mechanics and your opinion will change.
2 -
I think it's actually Low MMR blight because you sounds like Low MMR survivor.
3 -
I don't think any of Blight's add-ons are OP, especially considering their rarities. They make a strong killer better, but not by that much. And he is undoubtedly beatable, not just by top % SWFs, but even by decent survivors.
2 -
Play high mmr with blight and get a 4k vs a high tier swf
1 -
Sounds easy to me. Even High MMR SWFs might lose against good Blights.
1 -
I disagree.
Sure, blight doesn't take as much skill as nurse, maybe, but he does take more skill than other killers, mostly m1 killers. You still have to learn his power which is more complex than just pressing m1 to attack.
2 -
Then do it.
2 -
Oh jeez...
1 -
Idk. Sure it was called a bug by mclean long ago but you cant speak for bhvr now as they can think what they want since they dont have the lead designer of the killer there to say what is a bug or not. Also I think long term fixes are way better that "oh this killer is overperforming lets do an entire rework/nerf to their addons" when what makes blight and nurse good is being able to read their opponents for nurse and looking for what to bounce off of as blight.

Wait so 5 seconds before that clip was posted, every Blight main on this forum was repeating "the dev that designed Blight says it's intended". But when he says its actually not intended, suddenly his opinion doesn't matter and the devs should ignore him.
If you look closely, you can see the goal posts moving off in the distance.

- I wasn't with the group that said that
- It's still in a grey area if BHVR still thinks hug tech in intended or not since the person who made most of the changes on him considered it not intended but then left a couple months later. It can very much be that the person who works on blight is fine with hug tech
- I'm sure Mclean wanted to keep adren vial how it was to be this true pinball playstyle but someone at BHVR wanted to change the addon as of low usage/kill rates with it. So whether or not Mclean wanted to keep adren vial that way he has no power anymore to do so since his opinion there objectively doesn't matter anymore.

This is the comment I was looking for. OP and this dude seem to get upset at anything killers have.

Not everyone, but people make out only SWFs do well against high MMR or strong killers that require good coordination, and that isn’t true. I play both sides a lot - I go against well-coordinated SWFs (I know this from watching the VODs of said TTVs that are in the lobby), who get outplayed due to becoming overconfident or just making too many mistakes. I’ve been rinsed by solo Q. On the flip as a 99% solo Q survivor (and when not, there’s my fiancée and I) - a lot of my games you see the other survivors are actually familiar with the map, coordinate well, work around perks… and it’d be interesting to see how many killers think we were on comms in a 4 person SWF.
just because it isn’t your experience, doesn’t mean everyone in solo Q doesn’t play well or isn’t cohesive within the team… but I guess it comes down to paying attention and being alert at all times, not just “how many gens are left”.

I just complain about the unfair things killers have.

😂 nice joke bro, quite laughable
2 -
Yes…thats the idea. I would definitely hope one of the best killers in the game can beat well-coordinated SWFs.

@Mileena_Kahn what is your idea? That 3 gens should pop before killers down you?
You want to be a survivor, who tells the story how you were chased for 5minutes and then escaped using tbags?
Wall clipping and spinning 360 doesnt bother you I assume.
What bothers you, that you either in loops/gyms your movement is just predictable and you get slapped. Or do you just prefer to hold shift W and then you get downed?
To me it seems, that you just cant or dont want to learn blight, to see, how he is not OP as you describe him, and it is fairly easy to activate 3 brain cells and juke him a bit around which will lead to wasted rushes or blind flicks.
You as a survivor are not entitled to play against m1 myers only, and proceed pre throwing all pallets and hoping that gens meantime will be done and exit gates already powered up.
If you last 10 seconds it means that you either cannot position ur self or you were caught in the open.
If you last a minute, congrats, you are amazing. Now hopefuly ur team has used the time to progress the gens and they will hopefully get you safely unhooked.
And then again, have a look at the last killer chart. After all, blight is not OP
