Killers are lazy nowadays

Yeah, cause EVERY survivor is out to make your life miserable

And actually yes again, four survivors being free causes gens done in literal 5 minutes, no exception.
Like, what else beside generators survivors gonna do? do they break bones? open chest? wandering around for no reason? NO survivors do that, it's always chase or unhook or generator or heal, there is no inefficiency.

I love this absolute Sith-like statement.
"Without exception".
No one ever does bones. NO EXCEPTIONS! No one ever opens chests. NO EXCEPTIONS!
What world do you live in?
0 -
Probably the world where survivors are good or something, I guess.
0 -
Sucks to be that one guy, but it makes way more sense to do it that way. Total survivor actions are cut by 25%, hooking someone else means that you can get EVERYONE off gens (someone needs to unhook and you chase the third). It gives the Killer the opportunity to take control and thus win.
Spreading hooks around on a full team without some way to pressure multiple people at once is a really bad idea.

I literally had a game last night where we did all 5 bones and NOED never got a chance to spawn. This stuff isn't unicorn level.

Gotta get that MMR grind brother
Don't hate the player hate the game :D

stereotype
0 -
Bam exactly. This right here is why. Survivors constantly complain killers camping and tunneling takes the fun out of the game. You know what else takes the fun out of the game? Survivors splitting up on 3 gens and ending the game in 4 minutes.
2 -
I do that, I never use my time efficiently, lol
1 -
Yeah but if you're gonna tunnel one guy out, might as well tunnel the rest out
0 -
Eh, but why? There's no need. And at that point, may as well avoid BT/DS.
0 -
Because you want to win
0 -
Imagine complaining about chases, while being the only person chased for the whole game and still winning.
Sore winners are the worst.
0 -
Actually, you win less with determined tunneling past 3 survivors.
Most survivors simply goes suicide when hooked as last two, so three survivors are minimum amount of survivors to actually farm hook count.
0 -
Yeah... they suicide... which makes your job easier because you tunneled? I don't think I'm understanding this
0 -
Maybe because neither leaving all 4 survivor alive as long as possible and then having the game ending in less than 5 minutes without having to put in multiple times more effort than the individual survivor player nor tunneling and camping all four nor having survivor give up at the slightest sign of hardship are fun.
0 -
Sacrifice emblem needs 9 hooks minimum, and you need chase emblems too.
You have to try to keep them alive as long as possible while hooking them evenly.

People got confused and through flapping your arms wildly meant come and get me.

But if the killer really cared that much about winning that they tunnel out one survivor they obviously find it fun
1 -
Then why tunnel one out?
0 -
I tunnel people out hardcore, and that's because I will usually have 2 gens done before corrupt is over if the team is good. So I am losing 40% of my objectives for 8% of mine. You have to play catch up when the gens are getting rushed that hard. When I basically flawlessly down someone at the start of the game, and im STILL losing after that, it gets old quick. It's always time to tunnel. And the sooner you get rid of their DS the better. Eating a DS at 3-4 gens left isn't a big deal, it's game losing eating it with 1 gen left or at the endgame.

I remember in my day when the Entity would make me walk barefoot through snow to the Trials uphill, both ways!!! Lazy killers these days...

I'll leave a serious comment too. I'm going to use a game I just had to show the problem with both sides argument.
So, the killer tunnels out a person right at the beginning of the game. They spend so much time tunneling that three gens get done. The killer then starts going for me and one gen gets done and part of the last while I run the killer. The last gen gets done while I'm being facecamped on hook not less than 15 meters from where I was hooked. The two other survivors know what they're doing so one distracts, the other unhooks, the killer targets me trying to go for a 2K, I get flashlight saved, and I book it out of an exit gate. End result? 2 hooks, 1 kill, terrible BP for the killer.
If the killer had applied even a little bit if gen pressure that could have been a 4K. I mean, it would have taken 3 seconds to walk over to a gen and the killer didn't. Instead, the survivors did the gens uncontested and now the player of the killer may now feel gen speeds are too fast. Regardless of if they are or not, if no gen pressure is applied gens will be fast.
Now, on the survivor side, when people are being unhooked I see, quite often as both survivor and killer, people unhook and then let the unhooked person fend for themselves. Survivors are a team; take protection hits and hook trade if needed. A killer can tunnel all they want but if people work as a team then the killer can be delayed enough to get at least some of the survivors out. Being facecamped sucks but don't blame the killer; take the protection hits, hook trade and watch your escape rate increase.
Also, if you gen rush, that's great if you find it fun but, in my opinion, you can't really complain about queues or the grind if you play in a way that's unfun for the other side and gives the least BP. In my opinion, that also applies if you facecamp and tunnel as well.
I think MMR has made people sweatier overall but, honestly, it's a number we can't see and doesn't give us anything in return. I don't care myself but some people do so try to see things from both sides because both survivors and killers are only reacting to game mechanics. No shaming please.

According to the lead dev, camping is skill, since only kills matter.
3 -
Maybe i want to go on a game on my phone while I'm keeping an eye on the baby david until the entity comes to pick him up
0 -
Again, not when it becomes a necessity to get a trial that is longer than 5 minutes without having to sweat your ass off to pressure as the killer.
I personally don't care, i play for BP and avoid all efficient tactics (tunneling, etc.) and killing but my survivor can expect next to no BP when they try their hardest to escape in 3 minutes. I won't tryhard.

BHVR are the reason for an increase in tunnelling/camping when they made it absolutely clear that only kills matter, as that's the only thing that contributes to MMR for killers. Adding in CoH which destroys the Hit & Run playstyle and there is no point to a killer not following a survivor down until they get them dead. Anything else is pretty much wasted time.
1 -
Because that way you are almost guaranteed to hook everyone else too, if it's done quickly.
We don't need four person to farm hook counts, three is enough, so we will remove one immediately.

mmm...
My 4-man SWF (with 4k+ hours each) play fair, but the second we see the killer camp or tunnel especially if the game is still relatively early, then the killer should expect us to do that the entire game + anything that killers don't like.
So yes, you reap what you sow.
2 -
What the ######### is "fair" in SWF with 4k+ hours each, something like don't share information and don't bring items and don't use any coordinated perks?
game is designed for SoloQ with no voice comm, while having at least one or two of not so good players, how can you call it "fair" when you are stacked with 4k hour each SWF, and why are you expecting killers to throw the game just so you can win.
It's not even "deserved" or anything, game is unplayable without utilizing tunneling/camping against even decent survivors, stop playing sweaty.
2 -
I’m sorry but how is the game unplayable without “utilizing tunneling/camping against even decent survivors”? You’re literally going out of your way to make the game unplayable for someone else who probably didn’t even do anything.
0 -
Because if you give 400 seconds of free time across all survivors, gate will be powered and all remaining survivors will escape.
You have to pressure survivors long enough while killing at least one of them quickly, because normal killers realistically can't pressure more than three survivors at once.
even if you keep one hook one chase for entire game, a survivor is always free and can finish gens to end the game in roughly 7 minutes.
It will be even faster because there is three survivors free during first chase.
0 -
Yeah I mean really, most people on the forums complaining about camping/tunneling just don't play killer at high MMR. They can't, and they would get absolutely slaughtered following their own advice. Or maybe they just main 1 super strong killer and play like 1 killer game a month against potato's.
You wanna play a low tier killer and win? It's camp / tunnel town. There is literally no other option, especially in MMR days.
0 -
Yes, if survivors keep a hand on gens they will win quickly but this is precisely why camping and tunneling are not always optimal. If a Killer is camping a survivor and it would be hard to extricate the best move is to do gens.
1 person hooked, 1 person going for the unhook and two on gens means a faster game for the survivors. One person on hook, one person slugged and one person in chase means either two survivors are about to die or no gens are being done.
Similarly, two survivors healing, one on hook and one in chase also means no survivors on gens.
The only reason facecamping works at times is because the survivors go all altruistic and nobody goes on gens.
Tunneling is a different story but if you have a survivor healing another survivor and then one in chase then there's only one on gens. If the Killer runs by a gen and the Killer doesn't abandon one chase to chase the person on gen off the gen then the loss is on the Killer. This is the most common mistake I see when I solo queue.
Also, if the person being tunneled is a good looper or the survivors brought borrowed time, decisive strike and know how to take protection hits tunneling is a lose proposition for the killer.
The Killer's strategy has to change with the circumstances. I'm unsure if you're saying camping and tunneling are viable strategies, which quite often they are against solo queue survivors or overly altruistic SWFs, or if they are viable strategies all the time which they definitely aren't.

Because realistically you can't down two people at same time, only nurse can achieve that.
without removing one of survivors quickly, you will make no progress toward goal of killing survivors, even if you slug four people at once they can very well come back and 4e if they have unbreakable.
0 -
I do down two people at the same time often. I down someone, look for the survivor going for the flashlight save or bodyblock, down them, see if there's a third to down and then pick up the first. Slugging puts more pressure on the survivors and nothing says I have to pick up someone as soon as they go down.
Unbreakable doesn't work that well either unless I commit to a second chase. Otherwise, they stand up, I smack them down again. Also, if the whole team comes in I now have three survivors injured and one on hook. That's more pressure.
If I play around BT and DS by getting the unhooker, I've also just wasted two perk slots. I also now have a survivor who needs to heal and another on hook. And if someone says they're high MMR but BT and DS aren't super common perks for the survivors I doubt they're high MMR.
0 -
That's two down from over altruism, no different from 3king in basement bubba.
No "good" survivors waste their time by bodyblocking or flashlight save, they will stick on gen and go to save once someone start chasing.
eating DS is much better than playing around DS because you only need to commit four chase to kill a survivor, and if you done it quickly, you are pretty much guaranteed to win with slowdown perks and 33% increased pressure on survivors.
0 -
And if they're good at chase your strategy has just lost the game. That's why I'm saying it's not always the best option. Thinking that camping and tunneling is always the solution just means the Killer is losing games they could have won if they realized that circumstances warrant changing your strategy to match the circumstances.
1 -
If they are good at chase you will lose no matter what, what happens when there is four survivors who can chase for at least a minute? you will lose, doesn't even matter what you do or bring.
There is pretty much no situation tunneling become sub-optimal, unless survivors has weak link which shouldn't exist or used as foundation of strategy.
0 -
Tunneling can be sub optimal. It will have less sub optimal situations than camping but it definitely can be. Try out leaving some survivors slugged instead of tunneling and see if you get more pressure that way.

It was a Nurse so I really doubt they had any intention to kill everyone in that game and could even be new. Nurse is also a pretty boring killer the better you get with her so I can only imagine there's a reason they let you go.
As far as veteran killers go, we already know the reason why. No need to beat a dead horse. The game needs a fix, not a band-aid or new killers with more perks that don't solve the problems in the game. I don't even want to see another perk try to solve issues with game balance.
Simply balance the game and the rest will sort itself out as far as perks go.

Slugging is worse option unless you can immediately start chasing someone nearby.

Who TF said we were playing sweaty?
So everyone who decides to play with their friends and has supported the game since launched is considered sweaty?
Want us to move to another game? Want to gatekeep people from playing SWF now?
We load into a match, do gens, loop for a while, unhook who needs unhooking, make plans according to the situation, leave those who can't be saved... what do you want from us huh? Don't go out demonizing all groups of SWF when most of us just want to play a game.
WE ARE VERY WELL CAPABLE of playing sweaty and we have done so in the past if the situation calls for it, but we're just friends who like DBD so if you don't like us being nice, then cool your choice, but don't act surprised when we retaliate.
2 -
Yes? "just playing with friend while sharing information and coordinating everything you bring" is considered sweaty, and having consistent and reliable teammate as is is already extremely sweaty enough.
Game is clearly not designed with survivors having REAL coordination in mind, you are exploiting game design flaw and get mad when other side do same thing? it's ridiculous.
1 -
Because camp is skill due to the mmr
0 -
Never knew that pressing the square that reads "Survive with Friends" that was made by the developers themselves was wrong. We should've known better. How wrong of us...
I guess we should just delete DBD now since our mere existence is too much for killers to handle with.
0 -
Honestly yes, existence of SWF is worst thing DbD has, especially when this game is balanced around SoloQ survivors.
Because of SWF, SoloQ suffers, killer suffers, only SWF survivors can have fun and actually win in this game.
"survive with friends" is only there just to stop SWFs from lobby dodging countless times, not because it is intended way to play this game.
They know they just can't stop them.
