Accidental skill check failures

To preface, this isn't about failing skill checks due to just missing the mark.

What I'v always had an issue with are those moments when you are trying to get off of a gen, or stop healing someone, and that is the moment that a skill check starts. You have no idea its even starting, but they coincide and boom, failed check, killer alerted, and there was nothing you really could do to prevent it.

What I suggest is that the progress bar should get subtle glow around it a second before a skill check is going to happen. Knowing a skill check is going to happen wont help someone Great Success it, they are gonna do that regardless, but it would help against this issue.

Since I see no changes to this coming, best bet is to get off a gen right after you hit a skill check. This guarantees you won't get an auto-fail.

but you cant always garuntee that. A killer is coming your direction, so you get off, oops a skill check just happened now it blew and the killer KNOWS you are there. Similar when a survivor comes up for healing.

Yes obvious exceptions of course. At least my way helps 50% of the time 😏

Gens blowing up is good. In high mmr, this is the only way to get failed skill checks to happen, pushing a survivor off a gen.

If the issue is too much for you, there's a perk for it

They should do the same that they do with Overcharge: allow you to do the skillcheck while running away. That would make more sense.

While that early warning isnt that bad of an idea, its quite "abuseable" and makes skillchecks avoidable if you get your warning before the skillcheck-jingle.

Atleast you didnt try the "let us let go during a check"-route.

Why did you make another comment instead of using the reply feature?

I disagree, having Skill Checks randomly pop out of nowhere when you let go without any chance to prevent it isn't good design, if a design at all.

Just because Survivors are good at hitting Skill Checks at high MMR also doesn't justify this being a thing.

Maybe the Developers should make the Gens actually worth kicking and fix these unfair Skill Checks, maybe a higher regression or base 5% regression after kicking could help.

Yall are bringing a hell of a lot of weird ######### into this discussion... I'm talking about a QOL feature to get rid of a problem that sometimes occurs which the player has 0 way to avoid, and yall are bitching about MMR and BHVR not making kicking gens viable, like holy ######### yall cant stick to a topic w/o devolving into your favorite complaints.

also lol at the 'just git gud' comments
