Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Fix for No Hook Dead Zone Slug Bleedout Stall

Currently, if there are no nearby hooks, a survivor can repeatedly run to the same corner over and over before being downed. Try as they might, the Killer will not be able to hook them without the aid of a zombie.

Suggestion: If a survivor wiggles free from the Killer's grasp while being carried, their wiggle speed is reduced until hooked.

This prevents a survivor from denying the killer a BBQ stack, stalling for a hatch play, or just needlessly drawing out the match when there are only 1 or 2 survivors remaining. Yet this cannot be easily abused by killers to get hooks anytime anywhere throughout the match, as it would require the Killer wasting so much time. They would be throwing the match (unless they are in a winning position, in which case it ends up removing needless drawn out game stall).

Instead of this, why not have the corners of maps spawn hooks, and have the hooks generate inwards.

Because your solution does eventually stop them from denying the hook, but only eventually. It still wastes an absurd amount of time, and people would still insist on running into corners of maps even with this change.

Unless those corner hooks were permanent, like the basement hooks, then the corner becomes dead after completing a sacrifice on them, and we're back to where we started.

I was simply looking at the physiology aspect. How long can the survivor wiggle before they get tired?

How long can a survivor run without getting tired? Jokes aside, when you've already killed 1-2 survivors, and they insist on being slugged, slug them. You've already effectively won.
