why not block pallets like windows
yes i know you can break, but sometimes breaking a certain pallet means u just gave that survivor their escape, especially with maps that are massive or just filled with pallets
and it does get a bit annoying when a survivor keeps spamming it to get your attention like some lost kid in a park
and yes i don't need some smart a*s telling me THAT"S THE WHOLE POINT, i got it know how the game works (watch this part get quoted so many times)
and im not saying it should be blocked after some few vaults but when the survivor starts spamming it, it definitely should be blocked for at least 5 seconds
and YES I KNOW brutal strength exists too, but honestly every killer is just running gen slowing down perks, for obvious reasons and not everyone is a nur- (i think we had enough of that )
PS : its just an idea of something that might help some killers, no need to go all psycho on me

Why? So we remove all skill on the survivor side and promote holding W? All survivors should just start on the hook so killers can have a easier time

So vaults are blocking, pallets are blocking. How survivors will counter bloodlust? Take a hit?

There’s no need for that imo. God pallets would still be too strong and it would make mindgaming weaker pallets way too easy.

Not all maps are that big and not all maps have loops close to each other. Bloodlust exists, so pallets can not be blocked if they already dropped.

You already have Bloodlust for handholding, and it even gets buffed. You dont need even more. This would make unsafe Loops even more unfair than they currently are (unsafe Loops would be fair without Bloodlust, they are unfair with Bloodlust, but if Pallets get blocked, they would be even more unfair).

Why do some of y'all always act like survivor takes no skill...
Like does it not take skill to learn how to chain loops together and loop efficiently, as well as know when the killer is mindgaming and how to react to it (Not that there's much mindgaming when most killers just hold forward until bloodlust 3.)
Like if I compare how I played when I first started vs 3k+ hours later...I'd like to imagine I've gotten SOME skill.

I hate when people act like survivor takes no skill. Survivors have to learn how to counter every killer just as killer need to.learm how to play them. They need to have the timing on order to run a loop against each certain killer and understand gamesense.

If it's the bm you're trying to get rid of why not just remove the notification it gives after the second or third vault
Blocking the pallets seems a bit too hand holdy for me. I think i would activelly feel bad if i only got a hit cause the game just gave it too me.
I already feel bad if i ever reach bloodlust tier 2

The only pallets I have a issue with are the god pallets you HAVE to break. Those really shouldn't exist tbh because those are a guarantee to fully lose the chase. I like pallets you can loop on but also you can mind game on, but those like in RPD hallways or Gideon....now I don't want pallets to be weak not by a long shot because we'll...they save my bum when I play survivor.

That’s an exaggeration. But tbf against killers like artist and nemesis there is only so much you can do in a chase which usually lead to holding W and pre dropping being the best tactic
Playing as someone like huntress or billy leads to survivors trying to mindgame a lot more from my experience since they actually have good options against your power

I appreciate what you're saying, but this would never work as it'd make looping/mind-gaming way too killer sided. Considering all killers are faster than the survivor's base speed, and not to mention many killers are able to counter obstacles on the map, pallets and windows are the only two tools that help survivor's during a chase. This doesn't even take into consideration the numerous perks (Brutal Strength, Blood Favor, Dissolution) and add-ons (Wraith's Shadow Bell, Legion's Iridescent Button) that counter pallets (not the mention the upcoming killer base speed buff).
At the end of the day, pallets have a clear and easy counter: breaking them. It may be inconvenient during a chase and allow the survivor to gain some distance, but once it's gone, it's gone. This is why god pallets should be broken immediately as this does you a favor for later on in the game. Plus, many unsafe pallets (like those outside Haddonfield Houses or those desk pallets on RPD) can be easily mindgamed.

I feel like you're asking for the wrong thing. Instead of blocking the pallet, the devs should instead simply stop giving you the notification after X amount of vaults in X seconds when you're X meters away.

All loops should be higher to cover sight on both side. Where both can mind game (Ambulance loops in Badham for example).

in maps like gideon meat plant breaking a "safe" pallet is useless since its packed, or in giant maps the survivor usually is already across the map while u are breaking it lol

but honestly these days u need more than a PhD to play killer, mainly because either face people who have no idea what they are doing or 4 stack 3k hours SWF,
but still killers need to manage time, take smaller routes, pressure gens, deal with boons, dodge flashlights, find a secondary hook if the first one gets sabotages, mindgame certain pallets (the perspective of a D tier killer not A or S)
and survivors literally need to do gens, and maybe loop here and there take a hit go to the boon heal and do all over while the other 3 are popping gens every 5 seconds
so you could kinda see why a lott of people say survivor takes no skills and i kinda agree i turn off my brain when i play survivor and i honestly win 70% unless i get camped, sure its fun sometimes when its a huntress and u get that rush of dodging hatches but most of the time its just boring

I don't see a need for blocking pallets just because someone can spam it. They can just limit the amount of notifications you get if they spam the vaults. And with maps like Shelter Woods, blocking pallets make it even harder for survivors to hold a chase long enough.

as i said when spamming, not just some few vaults to outplay the killer, that's perfectly fine and the blocking is to punish the survivor

If you believe survivors don't have any skill then you are implying that you also don't have any skills playing killer.

So what? As I said, pallets can be broken, either you dont and risk them safe looping you until you reach BL3 or you break it while they get distance, its up to you and is completely intentional gameplay design. Windows cant be broken so they had to put the blocking mechanic to avoid chaining certain window combinations.

I have survivors trying to loop all the time, sometimes they’re simply in a position where they are at a gameable pallet and the best they can do is stall because if they simply run they won’t reach a vault in time. Likewise survivors will tend to loop stronger tiles like the jungle gyms and big buildings.
Running forward is still the best overall strategy though I think. Not always, but as a rule.

Guess we’re getting different survivors then. I play Pinhead and have survivors play loops quite often (Which results in a lot of easy hits)
Even when I play someone like sadako the only survivors who hold W are either bad players who don’t know any better or experienced player who know I’ll try to mindgame the loop and waste my time by running away

I'm all for it. I've always felt like pallets should be blocked by the entity if a survivor loops the same pallet 3 times, just like with vaults. If a survivor doesn't drop the pallet after passing it 3 times, the entity will block the pallet for a brief time.
I love the Hex: Blood Favor effect, but it being a hex is stupid. I'd kill to see it be a normal perk honestly. The fact that it blocks pallets just for smacking a survivor is a godsend.

I think you're vastly overestimating your role as a killer.
- Dodging flashlights usually comes down to faking a pickup and/or looking at a wall, it's literally "muscle memory".
- Dealing with a boon takes a second, often times you can even do it while being in a chase (in case the survivor doesn't just W-shift away, but stays close to a pallet or window).
- Finding hooks, not sure why you even mention it, it's part of the getting someone hooked (but if you want a tap on your shoulder for finding hooks, here's a tap. good job!).
- Mindgaming Pallets, Moonwalk a couple of times while bloodlust does the rest of the job, I don't see the PhD in it. It's muscle memory, once again.
You've not mentioned a single thing that justifies the before mentioned sentiment.
But on the other hand, you gave an excellent demonstration that you could probably acquire the PhD of mental gymnastics.

and you just lost any credibility. playing survivor takes skill, else any new player would instantly be as good as survivors with 10k hours.
also no, break the pallet. The game has been balanced around killers needing to break them. just changing that would basically rework the entire game.
also there are perks to help you like Brutal Strength :)

you said it in the first sentence... you can break the pallet. If that causes the survivor to escape, well they escape sometimes. sometimes they don't. Either way the pallet's gone if you choose to break it.

If you're getting frustrated by pallets and whether to break them or not it kinda sounds like you might need to take a brief break from the game. Maybe until after the update goes live. Or hey, maybe play an anti-looping killer?
I understand where you're coming from but I personally would either mind-game survivors, break the pallet, down them with bloodlust, or in the worst-case scenario equip Spirit Fury. But I mostly play Nemi nowadays so I don't mind pallets/windows at all 😈

Exactly I want some skill involved not drop pallet and Killer will automatically lose the chase because they are forced to break pallet.
Sadly that comes down to Map Design because soany pallets now are connected to another safe tile they can just pre drop and run.

This is already killer power. That killer power is doctor. His shock therapy blocks pallet vaulting, pallet dropping and window vaulting for 2.5 seconds.

It would be way too game-changing for every killer to have pallet vaulting entity blocking. For game-changing perks, You suggested very good buff to Hex: Crowd control. Hex: Crowd control is underwhelming hex perk that nobody really runs. A good buff would be to add that each pallet can be entity blocked after vaulting 3 times If hex: Crowd control is alive.
