SoloQ experience is so much fun now
First of all, thank you devs for buffing SoloQ.
BT basekit is a great change for the game. And it help a looooot against tunneling killers in soloQ.
Off the record rework is amazing, I was always worried in soloQ "Does he have BT ??" "Will he takes a protection hit for me ???" Now I just use OTR and however my team mates are playing in soloQ I cant be tunneled. If the killer go for me and try to tunnel, good luck for catching me and killer will lost 3 gens in a chase lol
Nerfing gen regression perks help a looooot too in soloQ. Ruin/Undying is over and it should make every soloQ player happy.
Tunneling is over, gen regression is over, there is still one thing : camping.
Dead by Daylight has never been this healthy.

How did 5 second BT fix tunneling?
How did gen regression get nerfed when gens are now 90 seconds and other gen regression perks got buffed and are just as oppressive?

Its just the teammates, which give up, that ruin everything for everyone else.

My build since the update : Sprint Burst, Fixated, Blast Mine, Off the record.
I won almost all my matches since the update.
Yes I lost my escape streak because someone let themself die on hook because we were playing against a Thanato Legion-_-

Blast mine is very good to get teammates to join you and push a gen with Prove Thyself.

Blast Mine is a meme perk at best. If it's to get team mates together might as well use better together.

For camping I tried out Dead Hard and Desperate Measures. It worked really well.
Go in, bait the hit, then Desperate Measures will give you at least 28% faster unhooking speeds, do the unhook, and Dead Hard the swing from the killer.
Most of the time it worked like a charm and the only time we had to mix it up was on killers you couldn't bait into swinging because they were waiting for the grab so you had to be careful about the timing of your unhook attempts or have someone else body block.

Repressed Alliance works great as well.
Because the killer can just kick the generator again after they've been hit with the Blast Mine or they may be using Lightborn but Repressed Alliance buys you 30 seconds of invulnerability on a Generator.

Hmm no ? Better Together is less effective on big maps (only 32m radius) and requires you to work on the gen to activate. BlastMine is way way better.

How is Blast Mine countering Overcharge+CoB? Isn't it, at best, delaying it like 5 seconds?

It doesn't counter anything. It just blinds and stuns the killer for 5 seconds and then they just kick the gen.

Yes but you can paired it with Repressed alliance.
Or just hide with fixated, let the killer leave and just go back to the gen.
The killer has just lost his time kicking here.

Residual Manifest also works with Blast Mine, so kicking a generator causes the killer to lose all auras (including generator locations) for 30 seconds.

But your build doesn't include Repressed Alliance. And even if it did, I thought there was still the issue of not being able to use Repressed Alliance and Blast Mine together.
Even without Blast Mine though, if you hide near a gen and go back after the kick (without the killer seeing you), it counters Overcharge+CoB. Doesn't seem to have the need to waste the perk slot.
Now, don't get me wrong, I run Blast Mine a ton. But not because it is some meta counter. I run it because it can sometimes highlight the gen I'm working on for other survivors buy truly, I find nothing funnier in this game than laughing manically after a killer kicks my trapped gen (I'm very easily entertained).

Before the update, no one would have called Legion OP or Thana strong. But that 0,5% buff really got people rolling...

Blast Mine and Repressed Alliance worked together, its very strong.
I think survivors just want easy game with no skill needed.

I feel the same as you. My Solo Q (and Killer) experience has improved since the patch. A lot of people here in the forum just get mad quickly because you don't join in their tearful singing 😂 Of course I still have teammates with a gen aversion, but significantly fewer than before. The ruin nerf has made people more likely to stick with the gen and not waste time looking for a hex totem. DMS + PR is also gone.
You are not alone. But the voices of those who don't complain are quieter. Exactly, Solo Q isn't nearly as bad as many people make it out to be. It's mostly your mates that can ruin the game. In my case it always depends on the time when I play Solo Q. Between 5pm and 8pm there are many good solo players online. However, after 8pm most people are playing in a SWF or only those that no one wants to play with are left 😂

Because every once in a while, I see a post that is totally opposite of what a majority of solo-queue posts are....
I have a feeling that MMR may be wonky. What is happening to a lot of solo queue players may not be happening to all players.
Or Anara hasn't played many games solo-queue games yet. Maybe one or two and had good games.
And of course, the other thing that's been happening is killer/hybrid mains pretending like everything is fine in solo-queue. Which I'm also seeing every now and then.

I mostly played 2swf and 2 soloQ and it was fine most of my games

That makes sense. Once you play about 10-20 solo queue games, you'll start seeing the problems solo queue is suffering after this update.
Killers received significant buffs and they're happy. SWF hasn't changed much, that I can tell (I play killer/SWF hybrid). But, from the large number of posts I've see on these forums and on Reddit, solo-queue players are suffering a lot.
Also, for whatever reason, killers are still tunneling/camping like they were before, even though they were given incentives not to camp/tunnel.

I think they meant they play a 2 man SWF and have 2 Solos fill the gaps for their games.
Playing with a friend (even just one) adds a greater chance to the match. I have a friend that plays every once in awhile and those games are way more enjoyable and go further than queuing alone. Even just my friend saying to me; "I'm being camped. It's Wraith he's just stealthed by the hook". Huge difference.
Unfortunately we have busy schedules and can't play together often.

It's a 2 man SWF I guess. I mean, if they aren't on comms, the advantage is not as great. But you can still coordinate perks, still rely on someone to save you from the hooks, still know you're with someone competent etc. I think it's a step up from pure Solo (just muh opinion).
