My idea for The Legion rework

I just feel like putting my two cents out there to see what people think because I'm curious

Legion was originally shown to us in the trailer as someone who was capable of blending in with other Survivors, possibly being stealthy which led me to start thinking that the Legion should be allowed third person gameplay in a passive state, and no terror radius. They're capable of doing everything a regular Survivor can do, such as vaulting, hiding in lockers, sprinting, crouching/crouch walking. They can't do Generators, throw pallets, open chests, etc.

Feral frenzy would allow them to transition to first person, while they put their mask on, and burst into a sprint like Feral Frenzy is now, but upon hitting a Survivor there's no deep wound effect, or chain they can do on other Survivors, it's just a normal hit and the Legion goes into the small cooldown for using Frenzy, to use Feral Frenzy again they'd have to take off the mask and put it back on. This would be similar to the Pigs ambush ability but more agile, and more likely to hit someone considering they can vault while using Frenzy.

Again, this is just an idea and I'd love to see what other people have to say. This is personally how I would like to see Legion, just my idea.

This would be a lot more fun tbh, I love the FF but the DW causes so much controversy, having it only be 1 hit period would be acceptable. I made my own rework that took out DW but kept the chain and made it to where the FF needed a really long charge. No one responded with actual criticism to mine so I wanted to make sure you did.

This is cool, I'm kind of confused on how to get the FF, so you start disguised and run around in 3rd person then press the button and you mask yourself then charge with FF. I don't think it would be fair to go back to 3rd person if you aren't disguised, I mean it's a stretch going into 3rd person at all. So I'm thinking FF might be like Pig's as weel with an actual charge of the button?

Yeah, my idea was to make Feral Frenzy very similar to the Pigs ambush ability, but with a smaller charge. So you could rush Survivors and scare the living daylights out of them, taking the mask off however would have to be a small wait time because if you were to do it in the middle of a chase, and lose your terror radius/heartbeat you'd need to give the Survivor at least SOME distance before being able to try and sneak up on them and use Frenzy again. If this were to actually become a thing though, the Frenzy duration would have to be a wee bit shorter than normal, due to deep wound not being used anymore.

Cool idea but my only concern is that wouldn’t the disguise be moot because killers are already bigger than survivors? I doubt you’d fool anyone over rank 20 - “oh who’s that large girl with the cotton pink hair? Must be Nea.” Or “Huh, Jeff’s new skin looks cool.”

Isn’t Legion the same size as the survivors? Besides, if the rework was done they would probably look just like the survivors until masked.

i like this idea alot it was one of 5 ideas would enjoy on legion. Plus you can just put mask on the bum so you would be staring at survivors bum. Only issue see with this is we need a survivor with hood cause terror raidus off will help but high ranks will be like look out for hooded gang.

Yes but how would the cosmetic work? Wouldn't people just know what the killers look like either way?

It's impossible for this to completely fool Survivors, basically this would allow you to get really close to Survivors, like 5-10 meters from them before they get what's up and that's if you go through loops and trees and not got to them directly. And their hood would have to be down for this to work.

Wont work on observant survivors, it will be like a tier 1 meyers almost.

Exactly, unless they can shapeshift into another Survivor it won't work 100% but I will say this does work okay, I get jumped by Pig's and stalked by Myers at the most random of times.

Hey guys there's this fan creation I forgot about that pulls off the Mimic ability and I think this is the way to go about it. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/41619/fan-killer-survivor-a-study-in-victimology#latest

I love Legion but if we want a Killer that disguises themselves this might be the only way to do it because we all know what the problems with it is and this solves those problems by bypassing them completely.

Being able to take the mask off isn't a disguise mechanic, it's meant to be a stealth mechanic, allowing you to not have a terror radius, crouch, crouch walk, hide behind things and in lockers. Some Survivors might be fooled if not paying attention entirely, but it's not solely to fool Survivors into thinking the Legion is a fellow Survivor.

In Lore however, of course it's to fool them.

Legion is around the same size as the Survivors, maybe a wee bit bigger.

During the stealth phase they also should have their hoods down. Sure we all say we can tell the difference between survivor and killer; but when they're distant, seen through a wooden wall or window or just in the corner of our field of view, unless we're paying all of our attention to them, we can get duped. i actually like the idea, i'd love to be scared by it if it ever became true :chuffed:

I've always wanted a Killer that could blend in with Survivors and I think Legion would be a perfect fit.

This would be a lot more fun for both sides, but I would give it a cooldown to put the mask back on to make it more balanced

I do think having the hoodie down when they're stealthed is a great idea. It would make it more challenging to tell them apart from real Survivors.

The survivor stealth is cool, I love the idea, you could tell who they are by cosmetic but it would definitely trick someone, that way they would make a transition for his Feral Frenzy so he isn't a straight rip off of The Spirit, but they would make it so Frank's eyes are not shown like in the trailer, just the mouth down, cause they did portray him as a survivor and wanted to be smart, my 1 of many ideas of change for his frenzy is that the mend is much longer lasting, like as long as it takes to heal with Self Care, and if you stop mending, you have to start over, or a survivor has to mend you instead.
